Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

The Sears I went to today was ransacked in the last two weeks. ALL clearance games that were outside the glass cases were gone. Either somebody hit them up good (and bought a bunch of crap while they were at it) or this Sears sent back games to the distribution center (which they have done in the past as well). There were a few clearance games in the glass case that I'll leave be for now, until I can confirm a price drop on them.
 
I had one do the same thing Josef. Huge rack of games, totally gone (though I picked most of it over just a few days prior...went to snag some remaining Singstar 80s.) I asked the guy what happened and he said they sent them back to..somewhere.

I saw one sears gather up a bunch of PS3 and Wii Clearance games to be shipped back (On an odd note, the bunches of games that just vanished one day were on the list of things they couldn't find. My guess is some idiot tosses out the displayer with the games still on it, or moved it into the stock room)

I heard from an employee that Apr 9th is a new mark down list. Take that for what its worth. Hes worked there for a long time. Said Rainbow 6 will be 5$ too. Hmm

Lost a copy of SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighter since it got zeroed out. I got lucky with Assassin's Creed for the DS since it was also tagged with a RTV sticker.

Also, is my Sears just fucking stubborn or did the DDR bundles get taken off clearance?
 
When the new markdown lists come out do the Sears employees have to actually go through and scan each individual item for them to drop or it is like an overnight system download from corporate?

I've gone to a local Sears several times on the weekends and seen the employees working off a list and labeling all the games with the new prices. I'm just wondering if what they are doing is causing the prices to change or if it's simply a "housekeeping" thing where they're merely updating the tags to show the correct price.
 
Non-videogame deal alert:

If you are going to sears to check out the clearance games, you may want to look for this as well (if it is something you are interested in). There is a thread on slickdeals about last years model Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbell sets being clearanced. Prices vary, and have been reported at $49.97, ~$80, ~100, ~$149.97, and ~$400, depending on location. This years model is ~$450, on sale, not on clearance. Unfortunately, there weren't any of last years model left in my area, and they never reached the good clearance prices here, but some of you might have more luck (BTW, if you find them for $50-$100 and don't want them, maybe we can arrange something, although I have no idea how much shipping would be). Item number for the clearance model is 06091. Good luck.

Picked up a few games yesterday

:ps2: Buzz Hollywood Quiz w/ Buzzers - $4.97
:ps2: Singstar 80's - $4.97
:ps2: Manhunt 2 - $2.97
:360: Timshift - $9.97
:gc: Tiger Wood's 06 - $0.97

They had a copy of Blue Dragon that was marked at 14.97, I thought it was supposed to be 4.97 so I had them price check it. When they scanned it, it was ringing up as 19.99. Weird.

any chance of APR clearance today? I think it happened on the 5th last month as well.

Hope Bioshock 360 drops to about $14.99. My sears has a couple non-PH copies I wouldn't mind owning.

I went to an out of the way sears today that I usually do not go to and I had some finds after scouring a bit:

Kelly Slater Pro Surfer GBA - .97 (holiday clearance sticker UPC)
Official Sony PSP case - .97
Intec Gamecube memory card 2.97

There were very few clearance games left at this sears. The PSP case was an excellent find for only .97 as I am sure I saw this case for at least 19.99 at various other stores.

Clothes were excellent, everything was very cheap. 70% off original price with an extra 40% off for this week. They did have a 4.99 mens clearance rack in case anyone is interested. In the women's department I picked up a pair of nice jeans and a pair of capri pants for 5.99 a pair. Price was simply too cheap to resist for brand new clothes.

Well, seeing as there are so many different types of cases and companies who make them, I'm kind of left in the dark here in what exactly I should be looking for. The games I can obviously look up myself.

The case is the official sony traveler case, the one that goes for 19.99 in places like target. The package doesn't say what system its for. Its a plastic case that has space for 2 umd's, 2 memory sticks and your system. You can usually use them for both systems though if you are willing to mod the case a bit.

The GBA game had a sticker UPC on it so look for games with the sticker UPC.

The memory card should be obvious if its there, as should the case.

I wouldn't expect to find these items at many Sears stores, this was a very rare find of leftover merchandise. Those memory cards have been sitting there since well before Xmas, probably since last summer. I was really shocked to see that they had one left. The sticker UPC games have been cleaned out of most Sears stores for at least a couple months too.

singstar 90s, rocks, and pop are the only ones that haven't really gone down some people reporti g not on clearance at all
 
Picked up Monster Hunter 2 for $14.99!

The Sears near my work has doubled the size of their clearance bin, but most prices are still too high.

Went to Sears today, New Clearance Prices were Definately there, all of the stickers had April on them. My local Sears is pretty on top of things. I wrote down some of the prices, to many to write them all down, here's what I got:

Dragon BallZ Burst Limit - 360 - 19.97

Civ Revolution 360 & PS3 - 19.97
Bioshock PS3 - 19.97

Thanks for the update, blair. It would seem that my local two Sears(same ones as lude21's)are still a bunch of lazy fucks and haven't implemented the price updates as of yet.

Then again, maybe that's a good thing, since they've been moving all of the $20 and under games out of the case and into the big bin where the normal shleps can peruse them and usually end up buying them before they drop to $5 each.
 
Hmm, I may bite on Heavenly Sword and Bioshock in the future. But for not, $20 is a little too rich for me on those. Thanks for the update though, blair.

Same with mine. It's right in front of the electronics section with a big sign. I forget what it says but ether way there is always about 3-5 people looking at it.

Found a lone copy of Mercenaries 2 for 360 today, marked 19.98. Scanned 0.00. The guy at the register was going to type in the marked price and I didn't feel like asking a manager or something.
