It seems the cut off time for the Pro 30th bundle was around 10:30am. Anyone else score the Pro 30th? That is the only one I wanted…
 
My brother got right in at 10:25 and it was sold out. Sony apparently completely fucked everyone with that line pause shit. It made sense for them to do it since people were getting into the store way early and having to requeue but it's seemingly a brand-new thing that no other PS Direct region did so it threw a lot of people off. Of course it did nothing to deter the million bots.

I was on at 9am and testing the checkout no problem. around 9:30am I got kicked out and placed in line. Then I got in at 10:35a and could not order the Pro 30th.

Yeah, the people who lucked out were those who were right at the end of the queue at 9 a.m.
It actually didn't pay to be insanely early.

30th Pro was out within 15 or so minutes (the line didn't unpause until a few minutes after 10) barring a few trickling back in. Don't sweat not getting the regular Pro, it'll be available to preorder from every other retailer on Oct. 10th and I highly doubt it will completely sell out.

Depending on what the Pro ends up being worth, it might be hard for me to justify keeping it. I don't plan on keeping the Edge. I also bought a 30th Slim + 30th DS in a separate order (I was in the queue on multiple devices), which I plan to keep.

My order confirmation e-mail says 10:16. My queue timer started at 5 minutes. I thought I was out of luck since I saw posts from people in other countries that started with <1 minute timers. The timer kept bouncing between 2 and 3 minutes for what felt like forever. My bank texted me a fraud alert that I had to reply to get the order to go through.
 
I was able to add the Pro to my cart but couldn't check out... only got the Portal. When I initially checked out, I thought I got the Pro but... nope.

Well, thanks sucks but it was expected.

EDIT* I should note I got charged for the PS5 Pro + Portal but email only shows Portal.

EDIT2* Oh holy shit... I just got another email for the PS5 Pro... maybe I actually got it?

EDIT3* Dunno why I keep saying Pro Anni, I got the slim Anni.

I figured most stuff was sold out now that I’m seeing my estimated time absolutely plummeting. Went from over an hour to 30 min to 20 min in the span of about 5 min.

My queue ended exactly at 10 AM CST and I added it to cart around 10:02 AM (was slow due to me being in car/just having gotten home).

I can't check my PS Direct account though to see if I got the PS5 Pro Anni Slim or not, because it takes me to the queue....

Regular controllers sold for $200. PS5 Pro Bundles sold for >$3,000.

Hopefully Sony has another batch of this to burn some of them.
 
fuck me. Turns out I never had a chance, because even though I was on the US site the whole time in the queue, signed in, when it was my turn, it signed me out, then redirected me to the UK site (I landed in Glasgow this afternoon), so I was fucked either way. fuck you Sony.
 
I wish they'd just sell a few million that weren't numbered. Let the collectors have their numbered consoles and let us have the cool PS1 looking console. Not trying to make money off this thing, just want it to play. They can even change it slightly to make it different for the collector's edition

I wonder if there’s some business analyst at Sony just fuming right now about the limited quantity they produced.

Just walking around the office showing everyone those sold auctions for $2000-3000. “That was basically our money you guys, we could have made so much more on this if we made more than 12,300 units”

Maybe I will scalp my controller if people actually pay that much for them.

Edit: Oh, what I saw no one actually sold a controller for $200, just asking. Some are as low as $130.

This so much... seriously mind boggling they only made 12k of the bundle and who knows how many of the non-bundled Anni Pro. Like they saw how the PS4 anni version sold, why wouldn't you want more sales?

I'm happy that I might have gotten a Anni Pro but gonna suck having that ugly ass white cover for the disc drive.

EDIT* ignore me, I didn't see the cover is included.

I thought that pro came with the gray disc cover?
 
I knew I didn't have a chance but I blame my alarm anyway. Set alarm to 9:45 am est and I end up hearing it at 10:03 am. Get in line only to have the line paused then turn into 1 hour + wait. Did get the controller at least from Bestbuy and GameStop ($5 off coupon)

my AAA card loves to do that. Bought an Apple Watch recently and it did that so amazon charged my "backup" card instead and it pissed me off

Correct - I think it comes with 4x cord straps, a PS paperclip (weird, but ok), a sticker, a poster, the gray (matching) disc drive cover, and the Edge.

got on about 10 minutes ago, but all i saw and could add to cart was the Portal and Edge... not even for me but got it for friends :🤷:

for my sanity - does anyone know this ; but - if when you arrived on the landing page, I didn't even SEE the PRo bundle listed in the items... i saw the 2k25 Bundle. The first items were the portal, the edge controller (quickly added) and then the white pro... so that means i didn't even have a chance to get it right?

Finally got in just now and the 30th Pro was obviously sold out, the edge was also sold out. Was able to grab the 30th anniversary dualsense and portal. Might cancel the portal later since I already have one but might trade it in to gamestop and keep the new one.

It literally shows the matching grey disc cover that's included in the product picture.
 
I feel like I could've gotten a Pro bundle if I didn't have to go through PS Direct. I didn't actually want one (though maybe I'd change my mind if I did get it), but was curious if I could secure it, but nope, queue screwed me over lol

Well you were already done with Sony this gen. So this makes your wait for the PS6 easier since you saved money.
 
LOL, my queue in line finally came up but I was busy with work stuff at the time, came back to a message that I’ve exceeded my time and have to restart now… whatever, I got my controller from Best Buy, so I’m happy. I thought about a portal but I’m sure it’ll be gone by the time I get back in.
 
The first time I got in I could not add anything to cart, ANY item whatsoever.

so I went through the queue again on my laptop. This time I got through and preordered the normal PS5 pro and the portal LE but the edge controller was sold out

then I went through the queue again on my phone and this time the add to cart was working, I went to the edge listing and refreshed like 100 times and the add to cart popped up. SO i ordered one of those after all lol

lucky to get what I got, I really wanted the Ps5 pro LE of course, but I knew that was over the second I saw "over an hour left" when I joined at 7am.
 
I had the controller in my cart several times at Target and lost it.

Now it says DualSense itself are not available. Maybe Amazon, eh?
