why are these resident evil game bundles so convoluted? deluxe editions, gold editions, combo of 2 gold edition bundles that cost more than the gold editions separately, bundles with different levels of each games. makes me just want to buy them physically.

Get these

Resident Evil Triple Pack (4-6 and includes all DLC) - 12.49
Raccoon City Edition (2 + 3 remakes) 14.99
Village Gold - 19.99
Biohazard Gold -15.99
RE Deluxe Origins Bundle (REmake + Zero) 9.99

Then just wait for a steep discount on RE4 Remake Gold. Physical versions of Biohazard and Village gold come with download codes for extra content in case you choose to go physical.

More importantly, storefronts need to be held accountable for not accurately displaying what content is already owned. These editions lead to overbuys from the customer; something that is blatantly anti-consumer. Happens with movie purchases too, to a lesser extent with director's cuts, extended, and b&w editions, or a combination of being part of a bundle plus different editions.

We shouldn't have to 'purchase check' before buying any time there are alternate releases.

Appreciate that, thing is, majority of my games are disc, so then I would have to buy the digital version. If College 25 was one of the available games to stream I would be all over this
Oh, to clarify, if you have the plus plan, you can stream the plus catalog, you don’t have to own the game to stream it.

I have an off topic ask here for us Playstation fans. Does anyone have a spare bottom half plate for the PS5 slim or Pro? Essentially if you upgraded and added the disc drive to the PS5, the part that you replaced, without the drive slot.

You break yours?

You break yours?

I need a plate to test some custom paint work at a body shop, since the material is plastic and gritty. I don’t need all four and currently cannot buy a Pro plate set unfortunately. I was hoping someone bought the disc drive and simply didn’t need their spare bottom plate.

Thank you for the link! If it was a real seller and US based, I’d be in. Shipping a knock off from china? Count me out.

Sayonara Wild Hearts has a free PS5 upgrade for those that own the PS4 version:

WB shut down Monolith Productions, Player First Games (MultiVersus studio), and WB San Diego along with canceling the Wonder Woman game Monolith was working on:

They need to task Avalanche with making a new Mad Max game. That game was awesome.

What happens to the Nemesis system now?

Can anyone name a game Warner Bros. Games San Diego made?
I can't find anything, it says they were supposed to make mobile free to play games, but I can't find any they actually released. I guess that's why they are shutting down.

The LinkedIn page for that studio has 2 posts from 11 months ago, and both are just reposting things that WB Games posted.

They were founded as a mobile studio in August 2019 and I'm guessing the pandemic threw a wrench in their hiring and development plans six months or so after they were founded. None of the mobile releases from WB has them as the lead, so I'm guessing they were doing support while working on something and got the axe after not having any significant release in the last five years.

Was legitimately curious about the Nemesis system after Monolith's closure, because I could have sworn it was patented at the time. Turns out it was patented, and WB has it locked down until 2035. Which sucks because they've done little to nothing with it.

Yeah, I mean I posted a meme about it but it’s just gonna sit in a portfolio now. Any other company that’s gonna make use of it probably isn’t gonna be willing to pay the overinflated licensing price that would get an executive with decision making into a meeting. That’s all assuming the underlying tech doesn’t get lost in the shuffle of the studio closure.

Wouldn’t painting a PlayStation make it fake and less authentic? Spray painting a pro grey to make a 30th anniversary edition? Wonder if there are any knock off 30th pros out there.

That’s what WB does with properties that haven’t made them a ton of money in the past three years, they lock them in a vault. WB owns something like 75% of noteworthy western arcade IPs, and the only one it ever touches is Mortal Kombat.

I see what you did there. Trying to be funny.

Back in the guitar hero / rock band days, I had a bunch of guitar plates custom painted by a body shop with car paint. They were quite rad! My plan is to test some paint samples with the same auto body shop and make some cool colors for the pro plates. I did an awesome orange pearl swirled for the guitars back then.

Isn’t the whole point of removable plates is to make the console customizable?

The future outlook for the Western side of the games industry is bleak. Gaming budgets really have to be reeled in or it's going to crash within a few years. Gamers who won't accept "less than AAA" are going to have no choice at some point. The math just doesn't add up to allow a developer to spend hundreds of millions making a game for 6+ years just to barely break even in most cases.

I think Ubisoft and EA (excluding their sports games) are also cooked. And I won't be surprised to see MS shut down several studios they acquired once they are fully out of the hardware market.

Nintendo had the right idea all along. Sit back and watch PS and Xbox fight to death and watch the graphics chasers eventually hit the point of diminishing returns.

I rather replay Witcher 3 or catch up on my backlog than play dragon age veilgaurd
Why?

If you like the Dragon Age Series then you should have plenty to like about Veilguard. I really enjoy the action as well as the dialogue and exploring to find chests. Now if you don't like the series than the comment makes sense. I think Witcher 3 is highly overrated and could not imagine slogging through it a 2nd time.

I also really enjoy what they did with items that can be equipped. How often in a RPG to you buy something from a vendor and then find the same item in a chest in the next area? In veilguard when that happens the item is upgraded (in simplest terms your long sword becomes +1). It's quite brilliant.

I'm still annoyed we'll never get to see Coyote vs. Acme because WB wanted the $30M tax write-off instead

Yeah since it's included I'll check it out at some point. I enjoyed the first dragon age, but never played 2 or Inquisition
There are more callbacks to Inquisition than the other games, but the world building is fascinating. I have played all of them and I would rather talk about "new" Dragon Age (or Mass Effect or Borderlands) than "no" Dragon Age

Although side note: Borderlands is starting to wear thin...BL3 is the only game wife and I bought at launch (she plays on X) with the season pass and have yet to touch anything beyond the campaign...what a waste (and don't get me started on Tiny Tina....)

That's a bummer, Inquisition is the one I haven't played. Although the others were so long ago that I think any references would be too lost on me anyway.

I had a similar experience for BL2 as you did with BL3. Bought the launch edition with the season pass, by the time the DLC rolled out, I was over it. Skipped the pre-sequel and 3 entirely. Played through Tiny Tina with my wife last year and we loved it. I do have 3 if we decide to play it, but I would have loved a sequel to Tiny Tina.
