PlayStation Move - Launching September 19, 2010 (US)

Noticed while looking through the PS Store that the Blue Toad Murder Files episodes now support Move. They're still not really worth it for that since I'm betting it's just for cursor control and the episodes are really short with no replayability for the $15 they want for the entire season, though you can get the first episode for $1 if you want to try it out anyway.
Anyone try any of those generic Gon Pistol holsters for Move yet? Saw this listing on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-Gun-Pistol-Controller-Playstation-PS3-Move-Game-/400194218409?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item5d2d6f29a9 or http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-Gun-Pistol-C...t=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item3f074b66af
This doesn't seem that bad of a deal. :) Mostly want to get it for Time Crisis, though will it work for Kill Zone 3 as well?
Those things work on shooters fine, but horrible if you need to execute motion moments... Like Deadstrom Pirates, the Move controller will pop out of the gun shell when you have to execute the Wheel moments.

The little pistol shells will work with KZ3, but not ideal... The Sharp Shooter is the best bet. Battle Rifle is not good enough...

Yes, I have updated the game with the Move. Hmmm, after you play the game, there's nothing else to it, but you'll unlock the puzzle mode, which you can sort of challenge your friends w/o starting the story etc...

Thanks, I may order them anyways.. for $13 can't go wrong with a couple of generic Move holsters lol. I guess with Deadstorm, I can pause the Game and take them out, or maybe just hold the barrel closed so the controllers don't come flying out. :p

I just played the Move Heroes demo last night and I'm unimpressed. I couldn't get my raccoon to move with the Nav controller, but the six-axis did. Then I had an idea to change the Move to controller #1 and, surprisingly, the nav controller started working in-game.

The socom 4 bundle will bring move into my house finally, how could you got wrong at basically $150($130 @ BB taking in account the RZ points). Already, have time crisis/Res gold/the shoot/the fight/KZ3

@ bmulligan, yeah that's an issue with certain games for some reason however once you do that, they should work fine. I remember Auditorium HD having a similar problem.
I played and enjoyed the first Ape Escape game, but later games I never got around to playing. Interested in this game. Feels well suited for Move.
Just to warn you (as far as I know) this game is more of an on-rail shooter and not so much like the original games. Again I could be wrong.

I played a demo of this a while back on the Japanese store... or maybe I was just really into a youtube video... either way, it was crappy.

Move Heroes seems like a test game to demonstrate how well a developer can emulate the simplistic waggleness of the Wii and integrate it into their own Playstation platformers. I honestly wanted to chuck my Move at the TV after having to use that goddamned whip so many times and have it respond correctly only when it felt like doing so. That being said.....

I also played the Killzone 3 demo and it was fantastic. I'm actually thinking about picking this game up. But, since I have no desire to be torn to shreds in multi-player until I hate videogames again, I'll be waiting for a significant price drop for a game that has a 6 hour single player campaign.

I was impressed withe the killzone demo as well, until i had to melee someone. I may have been doing it wrong- but it was making the screen go super squirrelly.

I bought KZ3 with the intention of playing it with my move set, but didn't. I casually started playing it one night with my DS3 and never turned back.

The game is kind of short- you could probably just rent it if you aren't into multiplayer. I only bought it because I was able to trade it in for profit when i was done.

Speaking of the Socom Bundle (Move/Sharpshooter), I am on the fence about it, not that it doesnt look like a good deal at $150 for the whole setup and a game, but only because I am unfamiliar with the games that are currently out (or coming out soon) that will make use of the sharpshooter? Besides Killzone 3, and Socom (obviously), what other games work well with the combo?

The Shoot, Time Crisis, Resident Evil? Just a guess as I have no experience with the sharpshooter

FYI, Resident Evil Gold is not compatible with the Sharp Shooter. I, unfortunately, learned the hard way.

Is there any lag on the Move when used as a lightgun?

I tried the Wii controller as a lightgun but the input lag drove me nuts.

I tried out the Move controls on Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, which works well for action but navigating the menus are a pain since it doesn't use the nunchuck. It uses a similar type of controls to how Move works on the XMB that doesn't work when trying to check the loot you've picked up.

I also got around to playing the Top Spin 4 demo, which would've worked well if they didn't use the buttons for shot types. I should be getting Virtua Tennis 4 from Gamefly, so I'm hoping their controls are better even though I think they're limited to certain modes.

The $150 is steep espcially if your not a socom fan but there were a few good deals at one point($25 in credit with purchase) & the Move controller was $35 Nav $20 best advice I can give is to see what E3 offers in terms of upcoming games. Time crisis, Dead space extraction & MAG w/Resistance 3 incoming. I don't think it'll be to long before most shooters get a move patch or Sony may start paying for COD Move edition along with exclusive perks too. I need a MGS move game :bouncy:

Whatever happened to that Move game Sorcery that was supposed to be a launch title? Did it get cancelled?

Hopefully E3 will shed light on it. I expect heavy focus on Move's upcoming game lineup maybe they'll introduce a new bundle to replace Sport Champions.

Really hoping some new Move games get announced soon. I like it, it's like an HD Wii (a reason I'm excited about the possibilities of the Wii2) but there are so few games for it. All I have so far are sports champions and Heavy Rain.

Ya, I think it was supposed to be out already though, so it did get delayed. If not canceled.

Yea- it was supposed to be out this summer based on the announcement. Sorcery is still in the demo video loop the PS3 runs at my target. I'd imagine that's a good sign.

While looking at the Move section of the PS Store, I noticed that Sega Rally Online Arcade has Move support. I'm not sure how or why, but it's there if it interests you.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011...scape-hits-psn-on-july-5th-demo-on-june-28th/

PlayStation Move Ape Escape is coming exclusively to PSN on July 5 with a demo on June 28. The demo's already out on the UK store, so you don't have to wait for the US demo.

I played through that demo and it's pretty good. This is an on-rails Ape Escape game, so your character is running around a level and you have to catch the monkeys that try to take bananas at you. The level is centered around your character's house as the monkeys have invaded the world on their spaceships and one of them crashes into your house, so you need to clean up your place by capturing the monkeys. The responsiveness is really good and reminds me of Start the Party without having the video feed be the background. You switch between net, slingshot, and fan with some other alternate items that you can use if you collect batteries to power them, though it's weird that you're effectively using a Move controller in-game that is also explained in the anime cutscenes.

I hope it does well enough that they greenlight a full Ape Escape game using Move since it works well here.

The UK PS Store also has a demo for the No More Heroes remake, which I haven't tried out yet.

Finished the No More Heroes demo and it's really good. The controls seem to be similar from what I remember people saying about them on the Wii, though the only thing I had issue with was recharging the ligthsword since it felt like I had to shake the controller more than it should've needed to fill up the battery meter. I might have to get Heroes Paradise whenever it's released.

You are one of the few that did like it unles you are speaking of a new demo.

Might have to get a UK account so I can try that demo (unless it's coming soon to US). I loved No More Heroes on Wii, and the only reason I haven't picked up the sequel is the hope that it too will get the update the first one got for PS3.

so um i just bought a Move starter bundle on ebay for $50 besides sport champion and dead space not sure what else im going to use it for. should be interesting.

It depends on what you're looking for. The PS Store has a Move section with all of the Move compatible games, though I'd recommend checking out echochrome ii, Tumble, and Under Siege. Amazon also has a Move section to show all of the retail games that support Move.

so i got my move bundle today and i have to say i had a blast with sports champion. im addicted to table tennis. im going to buy another wand but should i even bother with a navigation controller or just use the dual shock? im happy i got the move its way more fun than i thought it would be.

Anyone try that Fast Draw Showdown game? I think that's what it's called. It reminds me of the old mad dog McGee laserdisc game in the arcades.

Since I got Sega Rally Online Arcade for $5, I tried it out with the Move controls, which are predictably awkward and weird. You just twisted the controller to turn left or right, which is completely unnatural and sometimes unresponsive if you're twisting it erratically.

I finally tried Auditorium HD with move controls, didn't like it too much..
The reason why is for the cursor movement. It's kind of hard to explain but you have to move the whole controller around relative to where you want to go on the screen is (like the Beat Sketcher demo if you played that) VS pointing the aiming to where the cursor is on screen (like in Sports Champions menus). So basically they way it's set up now you have to move around a lot, which shouldn't really be needed in this type of game lol.
Anyone know how to change that? I didn't see it in the options..
