This was for a rebate I resubmitted by email since it was mistakenly identified as a duplicate from my December submissions. I'm assuming they must look at them a little more closely that way? We'll see what happens this month since two or three of my submissions last time had upcdatabase.com output.

This is why I have made it a point to scan all of my games when I sell them from this point on. Time to hit up cdcovers!

They definitely look at them a lot closer now (too many people trying to scam them I guess). Anyways, I too have done the same. Every game I've bought in the last 6 months or so (along with some random electronic equipment) I've made sure to scan the receipt and the back of the box and store them in my rebates folder. Once I've received the rebate for a game, I'll go ahead and delete it out of the folder. Pain in the ass, but it helps in these situations.
 
Whoo-hoo! My 5 rebates sent in at the end of January just showed up today (the 20th) on the rebate tracker page as received Feb 8th. No errors so far...

Now I need to prepare 5 more for submission as late as possible (Feb 28th) and hope they don't enforce that 30 day thing too strictly.

I have a feeling I might need to do some more resubmits. 3 of the 5 submissions have hosed bonus numbers (the first number is missing a couple characters). That's all printed on the form, so nothing I did.
 
nice, the 2 i sent in got accepted. Wasn't sure if they'd take Destroy all humans 2 since my receipt was an email saying i won a copy from the THQ contest.

Ditto.

I think as long as the new batch of rebates show up as received/entered in March, we should be fine :)

I intend to mail the new batch this weekend or on Monday, and it'll be March by the time they receive and process them.

According to the PG site, the four rebates I mailed in a week and a half ago are there, in the "requested service period" step. Which reminds me that I need to go do my reviews for those four tonight. No errors listed there. Also, the fifth one isn't there yet, which was mailed a day or two later.

Yeah, my 5 just moved from "Processing" to "Required Service Period". So that means they had no problem with you submitting 5 at the end of January and then 4 just a few weeks later? If so, it seems they are still operating under the 5 per calendar month rule despite the change in wording. Hopefully they continue to operate that way.

Just cashed $45 more in PG checks today. That puts me at $595 since I started in the Fall of 2005. I'm almost afraid to ask - what are you up to now Shrike?

Pretty much. There's a few scattered accessories like the GBA e-reader and the GBA player. But wait till you hear Shipwreck or Shrike's totals (they both posted them about a year ago or so and I can only assume they have grown by about $25 per month since then ;)).

Well, it's five that I submitted, though the fifth one appears to be MIA at the moment. Though, there are four of them up there in the "Required Service Period".

Looks like they are in the 5 per month mode, at least for the moment. The real test would be to drop five more in the mail in a week or so, so they're in the Mar 1-2 timeframe for postmark. :D

And, let's see, I'm at $1500 or so, as there are 301 reviews posted, one of them doesn't have a check, I've had a few "bonus" checks show up, and a couple of them were $10 checks, so maybe $1550.
 
Well since we're comparing penis size, mine loops through my pant legs twice. But seriously... $1095 for me (+ or - $25). Sad thing is, I didn't submit any for Dec. or Jan. I've gotten tired of writing reviews, so I had 10 forms go to waist. I'm back on track though. Good thing about it too... I think I had pretty much first crack at the new forms :D . I figured Rogue Galaxy and We Love Katamari would be gone in a heart beat, but nope.

PS- Guitar Hero (the first one) also.

It's not a comparison. I just remembered a year ago or so I was so impressed that I had a few $100 done and then Shipwreck said he had several hundred and Shrike was over $1000. I was humbled ;). I just remembered that and thought I'd see where they were now.

As for which rebate go fast and which don't, I can never really figure it out, except that brand new released games seem to go the fastest. And I mean things out the very week the rebate form comes up - like Wii Play, or NSMB last year. This points to the vast majority of people not keeping receipts, as anything 1-2 weeks or older tends to stick around. It also indicates that many people purchase games based on the rebate (I tend to have most of the games already). I thought Loco Roco would disappear in a heartbeat because the rebate for that came out when the game released. Well, now, 5 or 6 months later there's all of 4 reviews and the bonus is still available. I, too, grabbed Rogue Galaxy just in case, but have yet to get Katamari ;).

I'm almost glad they did as with the recent update I would be doing nothing but writing reviews from now until May if I could grab all the ones I wanted ;). I just hope people don't overreach and only get ones they intend to fill out, as these things could keep us all going the rest of the year. The sheer number of new rebates should keep any individual ones sitting around for a few months, anyway.

Well, there was nothing I submitted from July to December, mainly because I didn't buy anything that matched, and it was before I had a 360.

I was debating about which five I want for March's requests, mainly because I have to look at what I asked for this month and see what gets sent in.

Yeah, I actually did skip a month late last year (was worried about the 30-day policy). Then I finished out Jan with mostly lame GBA games that I picked up on clearance at GR last summer. I was really just about out of things to request when I started thinking about getting a 360 and then a local store put several games (like Gun, Full Auto, etc) on clearance. So I had filled out most of my slots with those (and some leftover GBA stuff) and THEN the big update happened ;). Now I'm just taking my chances and trying to get things I think won't last. But it is pretty random, so I'm also trying to pick games I've completed already (easier to review).

Well, don't forget they got big head starts before August 2005 when PG implemented the 5/month rule. I wouldn't be nearly as far along as I am if I didn't get in right before that happened as well. I think I got about 40 forms before the limits were imposed.

Exactly. There were some months where I sent in 30+ a month, for more than a month at a time. :D

The CC $5 sale in July was a very good thing, since I ended up with a dozen+ games FAR.
 
I sent away the one for The Outfit on Black Friday and got it a few weeks ago. Getting ready to do one for the Final Fantasy XI I just picked up in the BB sale.

Hopefully they put one up there for DDR Universe, which I'm picking up tomorrow.

Yep, that's why I figured this would be a good day to actually get around to updating the lists.

If anyone feels like doing the PC games or the remaining accessories, feel free to have at it as I don't know if I have the gumption to do those.

If someone does decide to help out, the easiest thing to do is send me an excel file with three columns: Game/Accessory, System, and PriceGrabber Link. I can then throw those into the spreadsheet that spits things out in a format that CAG likes.
 
Well, there's enough rebates for receipts I currently have to fill up my queue through August. So I'll be writing reviews through November or December without factoring in any new qualifying purchases.
 
Damn, I think I have enough stuff here, assuming the rebates pan out, to keep me filling out stuff until 2008. :shock:

WHAT?? There's even MORE now? What's with them redoing some of these games? I know Cooking Mama disappered before I could snag one. And lots of others on there I did a long time ago and the rebate forms have not been available. Wierd that they threw out those reviews and started over.

I was just on late last night (3am Pacific) and many of these were not available. Of course, I snagged my 5 already and assumed there wouldn't be tons of more additions. Not that it matters as Shrike says - there's enough to last through 2008 (or 2009). With SO MANY of them there, I'm sure things will stick around.

I missed Table Tennis and GRAW this morning, though I did grab enough to cover me into June. Plenty plenty more to use into next year, assuming people don't get greedy for some of them.

In other news, they have all five of mine from Feb, and they're all processing, so I think they are keeping the "30 days" to be per month, instead of the literal 30 days. Methinks I might get the next five for March prepped and ready, since they're for things I've already purchased. :D Might even drop them in the mail tomorrow, if I feel real eager.

Ship - when did you compile the DS list? Because it looks like Cooking Mama and Clubhouse Games (2 of the ones I knew disappeared a while back) are not available when I click on your links. I thought they had added Cooking Mama back in just today. That had been on my "watch list" for a few months and it finally went off a few weeks ago.

I'll freely admit I've had a few rebates go by the wayside and not be fulfilled, though it was when I thought I could find the receipt for the purchase and couldn't. :bomb: I don't plan on that happening this time around.
 
I didn't really pull much out if it was on the list before as that takes me a lot more time. Time better spent by letting you guys tell me "What the hell, there's no rebate for 'insert game name'!" Then I can go back and remove it from the list. :)

So a fun excercise would be to click through the links on the first page to see which ones don't have rebates anymore.

And there's an important difference between the page coming up and not having the rebate as compared to the product not being found. If the product simply isn't found that just means there are none for sale right now and the rebate may still be there once somebody is selling that game again.

I know entirely too much about the inner workings of PriceGrabber rebates and GameRush. It's sad.

I just figured out a quick way for me to check to see what rebates are gone, so I'll filter through the stuff tonight.
