PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

Shipwreck, the following DS game rebates from your list (post #475) are NO longer available:

Clubhouse Games
Cooking Mama
Electroplankton
Spider-Man 2
Star Fox Command
Star Wars Episode III
WarioWare Touched

Not too bad - all of those are ones that have been around for a *long* time and finally ran out recently.
Looks like none of the new ones are gone yet.

For the Wii stuff in post 422, the following are gone:

Blazing Angels
Godfather Blackhand Edition
Mario Party 8
Medal of Honor Vanguard
Prince of Persia Rival Swords
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07
TMNT
WarioWare Smooth Moves
Wii Points card

With the exception of Rayman (surprising this is gone, glad I grabbed one!), WarioWare, and the Wii Points card (and Wii Play and Zelda which disappeared pretty quickly though I know Zelda was up for a few days) I think the rest must have been removed because the games haven't even been released yet. I could see, maybe, people snagging the Mario Party 8 rebate in advance, but why would people get TMNT or Tiger Woods (or at least enough people to wipe them out when other current games are still there)?

So I'm guessing those will show back up again. But I could be wrong, maybe 50 people got all of those?

Did anyone notice that some dickhead went though and rated tons of reviews "not helpful" (and someone else seems to have rated them all "helpful") just recently? I had tons of reviews with no ratings, and now they all seem to be 50%, no matter the actual quality. I mean, some of my reviews suck, but for ones where I've completed the games I think I write pretty good reviews. The "ratings" of reviews seem to be independent of content .

Okay, everything on the first page should be up to date. As for the accessories, I just added the Wii and 360 ones. I'm sure there are some out of date ones on there for other systems and I'm sure they probably added some new ones as well, but it might be a little while before I get around to checking on those.

Glad to see there's one for the Universe bundle!

And I must say, well done to those of you organizing this thread. That must've taken all kinds of work. Thank you very much! :applause:

Bravo, Shipwreck. Job well done on the update.

And thanks of course to io and anyone else who helped checked on the items.

Thanks for all the effort put into finding and listing all of the new rebates on CAG.

I found about 30-35 news ones for games I have! I even had to make a text file of all the games I need to do reviews for since I'll have to wait to request more rebates later on.

I've been keeping track of them in an Excel spreadsheet for quite a while - has the added advantage of keeping a running tally of my rebate money ;).

i forget, did shrike confirm that its still once a month despite what the form says? my five i sent on feb. 17th are 'in process'. Should i send my 5 march rebates now or wait the 30 days?

I wouldn't tempt them by sending them in three weeks apart.

Yea - I do the same -- I have the title, expiration date, then columns for Purchased, Reviewed, Submitted, Received, Expired and Bonus #. The spreadsheet will make them expired if the current date exceeds the expiration date and tallies the rebates based upon the Received column. I've also started keeping track of when I mail them.

Damn, how come Crackdown can't be on there?! I bought it with Sonic Rush and Sonic & The Secret Rings (both Sonics are on the rebate..!!)

I wanted to see if it would be stuck to in the 30 days timeframe, and this would certainly be the test.

figures... I picked up RRXX and King Kong a few weeks back and I can't find the receipt. :\ Looks like LOTR and the 1600 point card rebates are going in alone.

It seems I was getting lazy when doing returns at EB, letting them keep my original receipts (which included many other games), or something.

Worst case, find another copy of them, buy 'em, make multiple copies of the receipt, and return them to the store you bought them from.

So I ended up finding it. Somehow (I'm guessing wife/daughter) it got tossed in the garbage can next to my side of the bed. I'm glad I checked before dumping it outside. So now I'm up to $20. :D

Apparently PriceGrabber is back to their snail-like ways. Has anyone had their January submissions finish the required service period yet?

Other than that, delivery confirmation tells me my February rebates were received on March 5, but apparently it takes more than two weeks for those to be reviewed.

General question: Does any sort of rebate rejection occur during the service period, or is all that done during processing? I've never really paid that close attention.

Nope.

My Jan submissions and my Feb submissions are sitting in "required service period". My March submissions haven't shown up yet as being received.

Normally, if they kick rebates out, it's in the "required service period" timeframe, as I've had a few of them go from "required service period" to "rebate refused" or "rebate declined". Once the issue is fixed, normally it goes back to "required service processing" for a day or two, and then to the approval state.

My Feb submissions aren't even listed yet. Granted they were postmarked the 28th, so I don't expect to see them for another week or so. Speaking of which, I need to do my March submissions. The fun never ends!

By the way, an interesting fact. For those of you complaining that there are no more bonus forms for [insert game here] left, but then there are only 13 reviews, it's not that 50 different people requested forms and 37 went to waste. Once a bonus game hits 10 reviews, the bonus form is pulled off of that game. So either the 50 forms is BS or it's 10 reviews/50 forms, whichever comes first. Just an FYI.

Oh, that's complete crap, if they're pulling something like that.
shipwreck, could you add God Hand to the list in PS2?

http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__Capcom_Capcom_God_Hand_PlayStation2,__28092686/search=god+hand

Thanks.

I've also noticed in my last 2 batches of submissions, something weird is going on. I sent each batch with 5 rebates each, but on the tracking thing, it only shows 4 for the last two. It's like they're ignoring my 5th on purpose, like saying there was never a 5th one. Sucks, but nothing I can do...
Thanks, I'll get it added tomorrow. My spreadsheet that formats and keeps everything tidy is on my other PC.

I sent in two rebates in one envelope mid February and only one posted so I sent an email to their customer service. The reply said that they would recall the envelope for the one they did receive and see if the other rebate was with it. They said if it was, it would take about 2 weeks to show up on the tracking site.

I think I've sent my limit of five for this month, but I am not 100% sure of that. The tracking link only shows two of my BB games as received, but I also sent one away for DDR, a 1600 Points Card, and a Wii card, IIRC.

Now I have another Wii Points Card and King Kong from Wal-Mart to do!

EDIT: I think I'm going to go ahead and make an Excel sheet like some of you others. I didn't think I'd need one, but I realize now that it will be handy.

I can send you my version if you want.

Well, my first ten rebates were listed on their website. I mailed them in the middle of February. They appeared online this week. And they have a posting date of around March 7th.

Time to send out my next ten for April.

I think this has been answered but I'll ask anyway, does the 30 thing start from when they receive it (shown on their website), or the postmark date? Or do we not know yet?

Admiral Ackbar, can't you only send 5 30 day period?

I have two accounts to two different addresses.

Thanks for the list!

Gonna print the Pokemon Diamond form just in case its gone by next month.....

Never hurts to get $5 off....
I can send you my version if you want.
That'd be great if you would...thank you! :D

And I also thought about using one of my parents' names to send them in more quickly. We used to have a generic "Rural Route" address to our home, before they handed out 911 addresses. We still get mail with the old address printed on it sometimes. It'd be a cinch to setup an account with that addy and be able to do 10 per month.

I bought a game from bestbuy that qualifies for the 5 dollars but it rang up as front lane 3 on the receipt? wonder if there will be any trouble to redeem $5 rebate?

Target receipts label just about every game by the system (i.e. GCUBE SFT), and I've never had a problem to this point.

Just checked the status of my Feb. submissions and all 5 of them have the "limit 5 per month per person" error on them, yet I haven't submitted any others in the last 3 months. Time to e-mail these people.

Also, I just finished putting together my March submissions, so I should get those reviews written sometime this week.

Jan submissions: Required Service Period
Feb submissions: Required Service Period
Mar submissions: Required Service Period

A hearty WTF on this one. :whistle2:s

Well, dammit.

Mine are:
Jan submissions: Required Service Period
Feb submissions: nada (emailed CS, got response saying to wait 8-10 weeks)
Mar submissions: nada

Got my "Limit 5 submissions per month" thing straightened out. They said "Your review was initially declined for the product review. However upon further review, it has now been approved." I don't know if that means it was a shitty review or if I just didn't write the review in time. I'm more inclined to think the later, but I guess it doesn't matter. These are the ones for Feb, by the way. I didn't submit any for Jan. and my March submissions are being sent in tomorrow.

Ok, thanks, it's always nice to know I'm not the only one - particularly when Shrike's early March ones got processed before my mid-to-late Feb ones ;).

shipwreck - final fantasy III for the ds is now dead. if u get the chance, take if off the ds list. thanks in advance.

Maybe I'm just lucky... Of course, I always write my reviews in advance.

Jan submisssions: already paid
Feb submissions: sent 2/19, check approved 3/28
Mar submissions: sent 3/21, nothing yet.

Well, January submissions finally got approved today, as well as February submissions showing up as received March 13. Since 3/13 is also the day a resubmit I emailed them was dated (it showed up around 3/16), it's pretty clear that the delays are simply them taking their time on doing status updates en masse.

And just as an aside, it took them 8 days to "receive" the rebates - delivery confirmation pegged them as delivered on 3/5.

Yep, another bulk update as my 5 from Feb. just showed up today (March 29th) as received on March 13th as well. I didn't have DC on it, but I mailed the package Feb. 27th.

Here's the weird thing with mine for the Jan, Feb & Mar submissions.

Check approved stage:

Four of them, received on 03/23/07.
Three of them, received on 03/13/07.
One of them, received on 02/20/07.

"Required service period":
One of them, received on 03/14/07.
One of them, received on 02/01/07.
One of them, received on 02/06/07.
Two of them received on 01/25/07.
One received on 01/30/07.

Pretty random on what's been approved and what hasn't. Plus, there's one missing out of that bunch, as there's only 14 total between the two categories.
