PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

When did you guys mail your May submissions? I sent mine the last week of May and haven't heard anything yet (nothing on the rebate search, nothing via email). Not to mention I still have 3 months worth of "processing" rebates before that .

I sent mine out May 29.

God, I haven't gotten anything in months.. lol I gotta send mine out from May.. yes yes I know we are nearly mid June. Procrastinating FTW

But that reminds me, now I gotta print one out for RE4, DDRU (hope thats still there), and BBA:WD
I sent mine out May 29.
Well, damn, that's the exact same day I mailed mine - hopefully they show up soon. This time I actually wrote the reviews within a day or two of mailing them (so definitely before they got them).

Hey guys, I finally emailed PG about my very late March submissions. They told me that the March and early April submissions were delayed for some reason. They'll be mailed out shortly. Not sure how long that will be.

They also noted that for some reason, two of my reviews for my May submittal (send 5/14, rec'd 5/21) weren't posted. I know I did them because I type them in Word first, then upload them all 5 at the same time.

Same with my June (soon to be sent, Friday) submittal. Two of my reviews were never posted (posted ~6/4) so I reposted today.

So you might want to check to make sure your review is actually on the site before sending your forms in.

EDIT 6/14: My March submittals are finally out of "required service period" and are now at "check approved". Yay! So check your status for those still waiting for March/early April submissions.
My May submissions are now at "check approved". That was fast!
May or April?

Both my February and April submissions are also at approved now.

Four of my six "delayed" submissions are in the "check approved" status. Two are still in the "required service period".

All of my May submissions are having checks sent out today.

All of my April submissions are still in "required service period".

K, just got 9 emails saying checks were mailed.

Check online status and 4 out of 5 March submissions mailed, and so did 5 of 5 April. The lone March one is still in "required waiting period"
Kinda weird.

I just got 10 emails saying checks are in the mail from my Feb and April submissions (my March ones were sent in April right after they got them).

Still no acknowledgement of receipt (let alone check processing) of my May ones though. But this brings me up to date through April anyway, which is a relief.

Checks are being mailed for my April rebates (received by PriceGrabber on 5/4). That makes me current through April. My May rebates that I submitted on 5/30 have NOT showed up yet.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but if I don't have the original packing slip, can I send them a copy of my order confirmation from an online merchant?

I think I should finally have the rebate situation worked out for my old rebates. Another stern talking to about reviews being done after rebates being sent in , and the rest of them are approved.

Check again! My May 29th submissions weren't showing late last night, but as of right now they are there (with June 7th rec'd dates).

And wonder of wonders, ALL FIVE are there with no mispellings!

Shrike - I feel bad for you, man. I know on my March and April ones I didn't do reviews until at least a week after I sent them. Mine were delayed like everyone else's, but they didn't give me a hard time about the reviews. I had sent them a note about them and they just wrote back yesterday, AFTER the emails went out for the checks, simply telling me there was a delay in all rebates from that time and it has been resolved.

Hey, I had sent in 4 in april...and they were marked as recieved as of April 20th. Today 2 of them got approved and pending shipment, but when I checked the other 2 they sitll weren't approved. I checked my product reviews, and the 2 reviews I did WEREN'T THERE :whistle2:(...So I did a review this morning for each of those.

Who do I contact to let them know that I did reviews for them, but they never showed up..but they are back there now???

There's a customer support contact page somewhere - just go to your account and you'll find it. It is a form to fill out and they'll get back to you via email.

:applause: Thanks!

I got emails (sets of two in consecutive days) about the four rebates they received now being processed. Then I got another saying they finally got the fifth rebate I sent with the others about a week later. Better late than never I guess.

I had reviews not show up but the funny thing is, when I click the URL in the email rebate form, it will appear with my review populated. Then I just hit submit again and hope it takes.

I had the same problem. Two of my reviews disappeared or didn't get posted from last month. Plus two more weren't there from this month (posted 6/4, mailed 6/14). So I ended up reposting all 4. That cleared the delay from last month's submittal.

So check periodically to make sure your reviews get posted.

1) I've made a few $$$ off of them through the last three years. Enough that I'm sure I'm high on their radar.
2) I've done the ship-before-submit routine numerous times previously, especially before the restriction on 5/month.
3) They're tired of me pointing out that they're not 100% on their process rate upon receipt.

Quick questions:

-I purchased Space Rangers 2 at Big Lots, but the receipt only lists the game as "PC software." Will this not qualify?

-I ordered Battlefield 2 from Bestbuy.com -- does the email invoice work like a receipt?

-Do they usually accept the barcode from jewel case only software?

Thanks.

I use generic Target receipts all the time (they just say "PS2 Soft T" or something like that and don't even have the UPC on them - just Target's internal part number). I've never done the email invoice thing but I think that is fine as well.

As for your third question, not sure what you mean. If the number on the UPC matches the one in the offer then it will work. But if it is different (ie, it is a different UPC for the game being in a jewel case vs regular box) then it might not work if they are observant.

From my experience PriceGrabber is pretty lenient with receipts and UPC.

Yes, you can use the Big Lots receipt that states "PC software". I have used plenty of CC receipts that just list "Entertainment Software" for my PC games.

Yes, email receipts work.

If the jewel case game has a bar code/UPC code, then it should be fine.

Has anyone not had their checks all come in at the same time?

Got 5 mailed to me on the same day, but only 1 showed up in my mailbox today, instead of all 5?

Personally theyve been in bunches for me. I got 9 on tuesday.

Yes, I received 4 checks one day and then the last 1 the next day.

The real payday used to be getting 20 or 30 at a time in the mailbox. :D

Just got emails saying that my May submissions are being mailed. Pretty sweet - only got March and April this week too. Guess they are getting on the ball

Thanks, it ended up being backwards for me - got 1 yesterday, the other 4 today

The real joy of this is that I just paid $25 for RE 4, and just got $25 back from Pricegrabber, so it's like a free RE 4!!

It's even better when you get these games from incentive sites..and you get the $5 for each game that you didn't even pay for! :D 5 games + $25 & not a dime spent FTW!!!

They finally got back to me about my 4 rebates in April. That they had processed 2 and the other 2 got denied because there weren't reviews. Well, of course I posted reviews. They were there AND submitted all at the same time, but for some reason they didn't show up eventually?

So I re-wrote reviews and contacted customer support and they basically told me "I was denied because I wrote a review AFTER I had submitted my rebates and I can not do this"..lmao. But at the end it said they were approved and will be shipped within 2-3 weeks :applause:

I wrote them to ask why a rebate from March didn't process yesterday and they said i didnt write a review. It wasnt there, but i know i wrote it.....so i wrote another one and they honored it.

They told me that if I do it again, I won't get it processed. Then again, I've had a few of them go into that state, so I'm sure they're giving me the business more than others.

That's the thing! I DID the reviews the day before I put them in the mailbox! All four were up..and that was the end of that. It wasn't until I got 2 confirmations about 2 checks being sent that I checked to see what was wrong and 2 of those 4 reviews were NOT up like they originally were back in April. That's what the problem was :whistle2:(

I guess now I'll do the reviews a few days in advance before I send them out and make sure they are STILL there..and check back once or twice a week to see if they are still there!

Best way to verify it is to go into your Pricegrabber account and see if the review's listed under your name. Click on the "Your Account" link on the main PG page, and from there, go to "Reviews and Feedback" and click on "Product Reviews". If it's listed under there, then it's been posted to your account. Usually takes 1-3 days.
I just mailed my May forms today. I just found out that the post office now charges more for large envelopes (9x12). It's $0.80 for the 1st ounce versus $0.41 for a regular sized envelope. Just FYI - you might want to stuff your 5 forms into a regular envelope to save $0.39... well this is cheap ass gamer and 39 cents is 39 cents...

9"x6" envelopes work like a charm too. Postage is only $0.58.
So for my June submissions, I thought I would use a 6x9 envelope to save my 39 cents. Unfortunately, I was still charged the large letter rate because my 6x9 envelopes had a metal clasp and she said that triggers the large letter rate... Oh well, maybe next month.

Hmm, second time I've seen this larger envelope thing. I've been able to send in my submittals in one business size envelope at the current letter rates.

I print one page for the form, and one page for the UPC/receipt on 20lb weight copy paper. Fold the creases really flat w/form and UPC/receipt together and send them in. Haven't had a returned letter yet.

Tear the clasp off :)

Over a month ago, I sent in 5 rebate forms. Last week I got 3 checks. Im missing 2 checks and i even check it at the site. So i emailed them and they replied saying that they didnt get 2 of my checks. They told me to send it again by sending attachments and faxing to someone. The problem is that I sent in my receipts already. *sigh*

I noticed some conspiracy theories earlier about # of reviews and bonus still being available.

Just noticed that Guitar Hero 2 360 bundle has 12 reviews and bonus is still there.

Yeah, they don't seem to be quite on top of it like before. But it was no conspiracy theory - every one disappeared once it hit 10 reviews without exception until recently. I snagged a Metal Gear Acid 2 last week that had 12 or 15 though. Either they've stopped doing that or they just haven't updated things recently.
