I would recommend Growlanser or Gungnir over Crimson. This is the first time either of them hit $4.99 and both are arguably better games, though they are strategy-RPGs and not traditional ones. You're already getting P3P - has this ever been this low? - but I would take a look at Persona 1 too, which is a remake with nice additions instead of a direct port like Persona 2. I'm personally going to grab all of them - all these great RPGs for $5? Hell yeah!

 
I'm so proud of myself in the past. I got Ragnarok Odyssey Ace for ps3, and I had deleted RO on my vita last september. I thought oh geez, I sure hope I uploaded my save to the cloud so I could transfer it etc. My past self is awesome and did just that, easilly imported my save. Doesn't give me any equipment or weapons, but have all my monster cards and my blue skin / green hair. :) Hit me up if anyone has it and wants to co op. peace

If you transfer, do you unlock the trophy for having all cards? Or did they add a shit ton of new cards to collect?
 
They added more cards. My grrl and I were watching the intro fmv, and I'm like I don't remember any of these dragons or all these weird cutesy things going on. They added alot of stuff. Then again I only played that on vita while I was at work, so my memory could be completely shot. 

It is pretty cool starting with all my cards tho, I'm going with Attackup+2/Berserk+3 for 20slot and maybe Freeze+4 for 10slot. Only starting with 30 slots sucks, can't wait to grind and level up. Oh wait I can't even play this game cuz I am too busy grinding these gamespy games. Just found out Age of Booty, Lost Planet 2, maybe both dead rising 2 and otr, maybe re5, section 8/prejudice. lol. This is redonkulous. I am totally gonna boost Fear2 and LostPlanet2 in 2 weeks(honestly, I doubt ill get around to putting them in my ps3 unless a few super easy mp trophies), along with all the other shit im playing ;) #FirstWorldProblems #CAGlife #UnattainableTrophies

glad I got that Bulletstorm plat, it's gonna be even more rare when they turn off the online ;)

You can't tell unless you play the daily challenge everyday. That's the only place it keeps track of days played. I had to grind the last 20 days using a certain cheat.

The only reason Sony had plans for a camera bundle was as an answer to Microsoft's big push of the Kinect. With no one wanting a Kinect there was no reason for Sony to push the camera. It's there if you want it, which is pretty much what they wanted to do with it in the first place. You're making it sound like Sony and MS had a very similar plan and that's not true. Why do you think MS went ahead with the bundling the Kinect? Because they had put such a focus on it that they weren't willing to cut their losses. Sony was never in that situation with the camera and was able to adapt accordingly.

And there have been rumors for years of the industry in general going all digital, not just Sony.

Gugnir is a nice SRPG like Final Fantasy Tactics/Disgaea.

Persona 3 Portable is a good version of Persona 3 that's really more for diehard fans of the game looking for some new content. This version of the game lets you play as a female protagonist for a new perspective on the story complete with new events and social links.

Class of Heroes is a solid first-person dungeon crawler like Etrian Odyssey.

Hexyz Force is a very RPG with a good looking battle system and plenty of dungeons.

You seriously think they changed their E3 presentation, let alone all the other considerations (packaging, etc) in the hours after Microsoft's announcement? Those decisions were made well before that (including DRM, etc). Of course, you didn't actually need to see the reaction to MS's presentation, since the internet had been aflame for months. It wasn't so much a case of Sony changing their plans as much as it was MS being completely deaf and not changing theirs.

Pretty sure at least Gungnir hit $2.50 once, but they've never reduced it that low again over the past few rpg sales so I don't expect to see it again. Or maybe it was $5 during that sale, I don't know. I picked up all the Dept. Heaven games during that sale - it was the winter before last iirc, just after I'd gotten my vita on Black Friday 2012. Others, like Crimson, were $7.50 or thereabouts iirc during that sale. All in all, I'd say these prices are all low enough to feel safe jumping on if you want them.

Didn't get far. Classic JRPG, too much wall of text at the beginning for me to get through, i quit out and started something else. However, if plot is your thing, it's supposed to be a solid jrpg. Think this is the best price by $2.50 ever.

Time based, not turn based, SRPG. Worth giving a shot just because of that.

NOTE -- several games here are part of the 'Dept. Heaven series'... which are loosely connected, it's not really necessary to play in order. Each is a Sting game, which means it has a very specific look and feel, very recognizable.... but extremely different gameplay.

In order, it's Riviera, Yggdra Union, Knights in the Knightmare, and Gungnir.

Riviera: The Promised Land - PSP - $4.99 - 66% Off
closest to traditional jrpg. cool interface, you move through each 'screen' to get to the next plot point, possibly fight a battle. There are side paths and choices to be made. Interesting/unique inventory system that you'll either love or hate.


Yggdra Union - PSP - $4.99 - 66% Off
absolutely awesome game. Combat system is unique and awesome. It's sort of a combo srpg, card battle system, and turn based battle system. You see your guys (small army) face off against enemy troops based on their stats and can influence the battle playing cards.


Knights in the Nightmare - PSP - $4.99 - 66% Off

Really, really hard game to describe. A sort of bullet hell combat system that you'll either love or absolutely hate.

Gungnir - PSP - $4.99 - 66% Off
closest to a traditional SRPG in the sting style.


Hexyz Force - PSP - $4.99 - 66% Off

supposed to be a good jrpg, haven't gotten to it.

On the main screen with all the shit to do, go to Stats in the top-left corner. Then in there it should tell you how many Daily Training sessions you've done. Provided you've done those every day you've played, you'll get your number.

Persona 3 Portable and Hexyz Force. Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble is also a good game if you're up for a weird open world action game with a Dead Rising style of charm to it.

Ugh this is the kind of shit that has pushed me away from sports in general. There's a reason I've slowly drifted away from sports like football and basketball because the refs have way too much fuck ing control over the game. It's one thing to be pissed at your team for making dumb mistakes and blowing games, that happens and it's understandable. It's a whole other thing to be pissed that your team just got fucked in the ass by occurrences that were beyond their control.

Funny how you have to be blind, deaf, and dumb to not see that the Clippers just got screwed, but Barkley and Smith on TNT are doing their best to assign blame to the Clippers and ESPN is almost completely overlooking the issue. Protect the Shield! Assholes.

Well Doc Rivers said it, they should not have lost that game under any circumstances and ultimately it's they're fault. I felt like Barkley was on the side of the Clippers and arguing that the refs got it terribly wrong while not excusing the Clippers. Smith I felt like was more trying to excuse the refs. I just have when you have something that goes to replay and you still get it wrong.

They definitely fucked up but they never should have been in a position to make either of their last 2 mistakes (fouling Westbrook on the 3 or the final turnover).

I've always disliked instant replay because of how bad it slows the game down. Refs in all sports should get one minute max to review replays and make a call. So when they use replay and still get shit wrong it just boggles my mind.

Anyway, it was an awful night of sports for me and a great reminder of why I haven't bothered to watch basketball in the last couple years. I doubt I watch another game this season.

More and more the NHL way of doing it seems to be the best.  Someone's reviewing every goal at the centralized command area and it only affects the game when it needs to and the rest is left to the officials.  Football/Baseball/Basketball it's getting in the way of the games and like baseball's just a joke with the manager's constantly walking out slowly to pretend to argue until the guy on the phone signals them.  The reviews on every stoppage in basketball now are just getting ridiculous when it takes 10 minutes for a simple out of bounds call and clock adjustment.

 
Son of Scoregasm coming to vita!   Just learned about this, but it makes me super happy.   Shahid's work - he contacted charlie as part of the whole indie initiative.  I've played quite a few of his (Charlie of Charlie's Games) dual stick shooters on pc and absolutely love them.

If you like dual stick shooters you should be excited.   His games are bright flashy mind melting neon bullet hell style  -  if names like Scoregasm and Bullet Candy didn't give that away.

Persona 3 Portable has usually been $10 when it goes on sale right?  Think I'll probably grab it for $5 even though I haven't touched FES yet and may never get to this one either.

 
Apparently there's this rule....

NBA Rule 8, section 2-b:

"If a player has his hand in contact with the ball and an opponent hits the hand causing the ball to go out-of-bounds, the team whose player had his hand on the ball will retain possession."

So kind of debatable but apparently the rulebook gives the refs an out for the alleged "make-up calls" in these situations. Didn't even know about this rule. Refs probably didn't either.

But really, Doc Rivers is a first class whiner during the playoffs and Paul is a flopper extraordinaire so fuck em.

PS: I think the refs get too much credit most of the time. They're not so much crooked as incompetent.

PPS: Still hoping for some Ewing draft magic for the Lakers when they do the lottery.
