Yeah, I hear ya. Alas, 12-hour shifts on top of 4 hours of commuting does not leave much time for trophy hunting. Since I've decided to make a point of actually doing that and all.

I'm close though. And I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying actually going for the platinum.

Edit. Derp. Realized there is no platinum. Would have been chasing that for a long, long time. Silly me.

I can't give any specific tips for 3-2 because at this point my army can destroy that level in a couple matches.

However, I can give some general tips:

1) for hard stages, concentrate more on combos than trying to get dragons. Since combos multiply the number of monsters attacking the hero, not making a match in order to save a high tier monster for a later match simply isn't worth it. Only go for high tier/dragons if you're getting overwhelmed by blocks and absolutely need dragons to clear the board.

2) never use that 3rd powerup (siren lady) that guarantees hero recruitment. you'll want as many of those as you can get late in the game. heros in later stages (7, 8, etc) rarely drop on their own --- nothing like finally getting a rare to show up and not being able to actually capture it.

3) the super rare unit types (pirate, girl with an orb, sumo wrestler looking dude, guy with sword pointing straight up) are more valuable to keep than higher level common units (basic warrior, etc). 'rare' warriors aren't even special... keep a lvl 40 orb holder over a lvl 80 basic warrior, you'll thank me later when trying to compete the beastiary. that said, try to upgrade stuff whenever you can rather than having to delete stuff from your inventory.

4) if you're watching tv, farm the dungeon. you need the rare eggs to drop and the rare 3rd siren lady powerup to drop. i've spent as much time (or more) farming the dungeon as playing. it's... oppressive.

5) use the mosterpedia to track what can upgrade. early on, don't waste points on stuff that can't evolve. you think that rare un-evolvable dragon is going to be good if you max out it's level? nope, it won't be.

6) eventually you'll have more than enough potency points. i have like 75k. i just need a bunch more rare eggs to drop in the dungeon, and a bunch more rare heroes (i have no siren ladies, which makes this a hassle)

7) don't worry about this early when you need to earn potency points, but once you're awash in them, you can use the 'arrow' icon to quit out of a stage and reload it hoping for a rare hero to show up. in lower levels, rares almost always join you automatically. in later stages, you need a siren to ensure it (even if it's the first time you ever saw them).

8) The absolute worst thing you'll discover -- once you use a siren to collect a hero on a given level... you can't ever do it again. that's right, use a siren to get that lvl 80 pirate and now you can't ever guarantee him to drop again. so don't use that siren till you're sure you need that hero for an upgrade.

Twin Peaks Season 1 is good, but most of season 2 is rubbish with the exception of a few of the episodes. The creators / executive producers were all distracted by other projects during season 2 and it shows.

No doubt. But taken as a whole, the show was really something else. I was a child when it first aired so I never got swept up in any pop culture excitement, but I can't imagine there were many shows at the time doing what Twin Peaks did. Hell, I'd take S2 Twin Peaks over the majority of stuff on the tube these days. And a young Sherilyn Fenn? Dios mio.

Justified. That's another good one.

After you S rank every mission you need to enter the old Konami code to unlock the platinum. ProfessorStotch finally got it and admitted he used the code. I'm still trying to unlock the Lumines Vita platinum. Gotta love those crazy rare Platinums.

David lynch left after they revealed Laura's killer and that was wrapped up. Shame it ended without closure.

I ended up buying a physical copy of Blackgate from gohastings for about the same price. Would have like to used my PSN spacebucks instead of real money, but oh well.

Most single games in a bubble mailer are gonna be 5-6 ounces, dimensions should be listed on the mailer itself (9x6 maybe?)

Thing about Killzone's story (and why I criticize it so harshly) is that it has a lot of freaking potential. It seems to heavily draw from the Israli Palestinian conflict, but GG makes things soooo muddled and ambiguous I ended up not giving a shit about anything, lol. I don't understand how a developer can spend millions creating something so technically laudable but not hire a decent writer. Unlike CoD or BF, I assumed single player was the centerpiece of Killzone so it's even weirder. Apparently the MP is decent, but I can't be bothered to wade through those confusing ass menus (sad, I know).

I buy a giant box of size one bubble mailers and then use a postage scale. If you don't have a scale and want to be safe most PS3/360 games should go at 6 oz (unless they're exceptionally heavy), 3DS/Vita games are usually good at 4 oz but some 3DS/NDS games require 5 oz if they have a manual, PS4/Xone games seem to be 4-5 oz but I wouldn't go less than 5 oz without a scale. When the difference per ounce in the 4-6 oz range is like 20 cents an ounce if I don't know for sure I would rather pay the extra few pennies and not have something bounced back to me.

Yeah, Sopranos is my favorite show of all time, but Simpsons is #2 and South Park is #3. Both those shows have passed their prime, but in their prime they are an absolute joy to watch. Simpsons season 4 and 5 are probably the funniest TV episodes ever made. King of the Hill is also great (and I'd say enjoyable well on through season 6, I really feel like only the last couple seasons started to slip a bit) and Futurama's awesome too. Seinfeld's another great comedy, though I think I actually like Curb a little bit better.

Chappelle Show's another hilarious show. Being in high school when that show was on, if you missed Chappelle Show on Wednesday night you had no fuck ing clue what people were talking about on Thursday.

Eldritch's numbers are basically what I use when shipping. I don't have a scale but I'll go over an ounce if I'm not sure. It's $0.16 per ounce, so I'd have to overshoot on 125 packages in order to justify a $20 scale. I ship maybe 1/3rd of that per year and usually I nail the weight correctly, so I haven't broke down and actually bought myself a scale yet.

Ha, Prison Break is battling with Heroes for the top spot in shows that started out with so much promise the first season but went to hell afterward.

Of course, then you have the other extreme, where a show was unwatchable the first season but became awesome. First one to come to mind is Parks and Rec.

Everyone hates the first season of Parks and Rec but I don't mind it at all. I don't get the hate. Season 2 is much better but Season 1 was completely fine IMO.

Pacing was weird and the characters were growing into their parts. Andy had a Homer-like evolution in character, for the better of course.

Yep. She is one amazingly hot woman.

It's interesting to see the Parks comments about s1 being bad. I gave the first couple of episodes a try and quit. The wife kept going and has marathoned through to the end of S5 over the past couple of weeks and is enjoying it quite a bit.

Archer is another show that started a bit weak but got a lot better.

Weeds and Nip/Tuck are two shows where I loved the first three seasons, then they went downhill really fast after that. I still watched them till the end though.
