Oh trust me it is a wok of art. I can't wait to start my next game on New Game + Survivor! The game is amazing and they emotions it conveys are deep!
 
Ratchet collection looks good but I would rather own physical disks...

I bought it and it is freaking huge - 11 GB. It has been downloading all night.

Of course I own a still-sealed copy that I preordered from Amazon. But I figured I could get more for that than the digital version costs so I'll get some of that money back at least. I like owning discs of certain games for sure, but this isn't one of them. And besides, I do still have all the PS2 originals. I can look at those cases and play the HD remakes ;).

One of the best Sony franchises ever, IMO. If I had not already gotten the disk long ago (and recently completed all the games), I would definitely be buying for that price.

On another topic, is anyone else in the same boat as me on Walking Dead? I rented it from Redbox a while back since I had a free coupon. Played it, loved it, but of course took it back. Can I buy and play the DLC now without having the physical disk?

Yep. However, the web store is a much faster interface for finding what you want, IMO. You can use a credit card or PSN cards you buy from a retailer to fund your wallet on PSN. Funds from there are used to pay for the games.

 
Is there anyone else who can't download Virtue's last reward? My download box is greyed out, I can't figure out what the problem is! I can purchase and DL other stuff just fine. Help!

 
I'm not seeing the Season Pass on the web site. Is it console-only?



I'm guessing he means online pass, which is very different and only needed for used physical copies anyway.

I thought I would pass on the R&C Collection but for $2.50 a game I can't complain. I only ever finished the 1st one. I also picked up Shadow of the Colossus so when I finish ICO on the collection disc I can sell that off.

I would imagine that this counts as a "new" copy seeing how it's a digital version that PS+ users just happen to get free, that and EA has since abolished its online pass strategy just a few weeks ago. I haven't seen any massive outcry about it so I bet playing online isn't an issue. Also, the base game still has quite a bit of content with many maps to compete on so people shouldn't feel cheated out of content (Back to Karkand excluded possibly.) Pretty fun game on the PC, I should get back to it some time.

 
There are very few digital games on PSN that don't come with the online pass, which only covers one game that I've ever seen (Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge compared to the version that includes an online pass). The EA online passes are only a concern for people that bought it used or are renting those games. That's it.

I love the ps+ automatic update, I bought 400 Days late last night and added it to the download queue directly from the webstore and it was downloaded and installed to my PS3 overnight. I didn't even know I could download games automatically like that, I thought the updates only worked for patches and game saves. Anyways, I think this a cool feature to have and I will be using it a lot more often from now on.

It's fantastic. System just has to be on and idle, or when it turns itself on as scheduled, to start the downloads.

Most likely It's because it downloads the demo and then an unlock key. Should be the full version once you start it up.

When you have something downloading, go to turn off your PS3 and it'll give you a setting that says wait until everything is downloaded before shutting down.

I haven't played the PS3 version yet but played the PC version through. I would say that it's safely worth $4 though it hardly lives up to the original Deus Ex and has a very console focused design. That stuff bothers me more than most probably and the original is one of my fondest gaming memories. Basically DX:HR is perfectly good and I'm happy I played it, though I would have been happier paying $4 than $50. If it's going on the back of a large backlog you might want to wait though, it's been $5 or less fairly often on PC.

A lot of smaller games like that the demo's actually the full game and then it just downloads an additional unlock key.

if youve 'purchased' one of the free games with PS+, can you purchase it for real later? I got Scott Pilgrim with PS+ for free i think a while back. Its a fun game and if its only $2 i would like to buy it for real so i dont have to worry about it expiring. But i dont see a way to do that.. how can i actually pay for/buy it?
