Munch's Odyssey is really divisive when it comes to the series.  I haven't gotten around to this one myself but I will say not to judge the entirety of the franchise on this entry because this is definitely the black sheep game that was a departure from the classics.  Yeah, Stranger was hugely different too but that was a top quality game and made it work.

Sweet, Munch's Odyssee is the only game I'm excited for this month for PS+, so glad to get it this week.

I loved Stranger's Wrath, the only oddworld game I've played, but I'm pretty sure this game doesn't have much in common with that one, other than being in the same universe.

I have never understood why people love Eternal Sonata so much. It had an interesting battle system, but I couldn't stand the voice acting, the story, or the characters. Maybe I was just in a bad place when I was playing it, heh.
Same here. The voice-acting is ultimately what made me quit.

In a bad place? Like Cleveland?

Hmm is Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes for the Vita a good port or a bad port? $5 seems like a nice price to get.

Edit: nvm, found my answer.

what's the verdict on the silent hill diablo clone vita game?
Bad lol. Atleast from my perspective. I couldn't even stomach getting through the demo. It's not that it's just an inherently bad game exactly. It's just why bother with it when there are much better diablo/dungeon crawlers out there. Unless you are in desperate need of a dungeon crawler on your vita specifically I'd pass.

First purchase made on PSN. Really cool how break up the games into separate downloads for Ratchet & Clank collection. I wasn't expecting that haha.

It's a port of the 3DS version, which is to say it's not what you're getting from the console version.

I had my PS3 for about a month. I wasn't planning to buy digital, but these prices are hard to pass up.
I'm in the same place....got my PS3 a week ago with a few physical games. I prefer to have them for all the usual reasons (aesthetics, resale value, constraints on digital media) but I ended up buying Ratchet and Clank HD trilogy for $7.50. It's that kind of mega-savings on a game that I wouldn't buy normally that got me to branch out and try it. Which is how digital could be successful as a sales mean, instead of charging full MSRP for something that only exists virtually.

Digital sales will devour your soul haha. God help you if you ever get a gaming pc. Steam will own you.

I'm speaking from experience of course ;)

I'm not a fan of digital copies of full retail games either, but Sony makes it hard to resist with their pricing.  Ratchet Collection for $7.50 and Alice for $4 and Lego Pirates for $5 is just too good to pass up.

I have 1.30 left in my PS wallet, and wanted to get some things, but if i buy Lego Batman + Alice thats 11.50. And from what i seen last night when i bought SOTC, it wont take the exact change off my debit card. I have to add money in as low as 5 dollars. So im gunna have to add 15 dollars, and then have 4.80 left over.

Is there anyway i can pay exact? I hate the idea of having to buy 15 dollars worth to buy 11.50 worth of games, and then end up 20 cents short of buying another 5.00 game.

5.00 minimum. No other constraint, so if your purchase adds up to 5.93, you get charged 5.93.

Weird...anytime I've ever bought anything over $5 it lets me buy with the exact amount.

Ahh okay guys. Nah i bought SOTC which was 5.00 so it added 5 dollars and didnt take out the 1.30 i had left.

So it sounds like if i bought alice and lego batman 2 i would be charged the right amount and it would take the 1.30 out of my wallet too?

can someone remind me of the details of the R&C Full Frontal Assault Blu-ray disc?  I just activated disc benefits for the free vita version, but don't i get another free game or something? is it ps3 or vita?

I haven't seen anyone point it out but as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is going to be on sale for $5 PS+ tomorrow, the endor bonus missions dlc is just 99 cents. It's always been 99 cents though so I wouldn't be in a rush to buy it, just in case someone wondered if it was on sale at that price, which I felt was worth it since I enjoyed the game.

Idk...I still felt MK to not be as user friendly as everyone had made it seem to me.

Analogs keeps fucking me up when I'm trying to move, and keeps making me flip, and the special moves are more complex to use than you'd think.

Everyone told me this made great use of the PS3 controls and was a lot easier than UMvC3. I'm not really seeing it... I did of course only try out a couple of practice matches...but if that's how I feel now, I can't imagine how frustrating its going to get fighting the computer mode in Storyline.

I'm more a fan of the "press a shit ton of random buttons and watch the uber cutscene moves you pull off" fighting games..

Mortal Kombat is the easiest fighter to pick up and play this generation by a wide margin. Are you talking about like Dragon Ball Z Budokai? The only easier one I can think of is also from last generation: Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO. "EO" stands for "easy operation" - you press the right stick in the direction you want to throw a fireball or Psycho Crusher.

You can also try Blazblue, which has a "stylish" control scheme. It's a very flashy game and works similarly to how I described above, and if you play online, there's no indication that you're using it so it actually looks like you know what you're doing.

I got the disc version of SoTC/ICO HD and R&C HD... but I'm so tempted to get the digital :/

(in the event they turn cross-buy for Vita)

arghhh

EO = Extreme offense.

But you had the right idea.

Eternal Sonata had co-op? I had no idea. That game was awesome though; it and Lost Odyssey were two of the best games I played on the 360. Too bad used PS3 copies still go for like $30 because I've been hankering to play it again, not that I really need to with Ni No Kuni, Graces and Xillia needing to be played still.

Soundshapes is amazing so I don't get it.
Eternal Sonata's multiplayer is pretty awesome, and the ps3 version is better than the 360 version.

Actually, Blazblue CSE has an S/T by your name to show if you are using Stylish or Technical movesets. Also, someone skilled with the Stylish set can still do some pretty crazy things, so people will still be careful against you.

I don't know about MK since I don't care for the series, but UMvC3 would have to be one of the absolute friendliest fighting games for mashing. All supers are simple quarter circle or dragon punch motions and 3 buttons. I can't imagine anything being easier than that. However, for something in the same vein, perhaps try Arcana Heart 3? Also Guilty Gear XX isn't bad for mashing either, kind of.

- my source is that I have a friend who does nothing but mash, so I have to find games that he is willing to try (a.k.a. where mashing gets mediocre results and I actually have to do some thinking to win). Luckily, he doesn't mind losing much :)

I got all excited, but it looks to be just 7 new character skins, no new levels. I loved the last 8-bit World.

Only new skins? Well that's disappointing. Thought there'd at least be some new levels. Bullocks.

I imagine if I've never played a ratchet and clank game the $7.50 deal for the pack is a must buy? Could someone tell me why or why I shouldn't buy it? Haha

So far I've only bought SOTC and Batman AA.

Planned on POP classic trilogy and Alice Madness returns for tomorrow....

I think the vita port is a port of the 3ds port which is a port of the ds port.

*PORTCEPTION*
That is very possible, that whole thing reeks of cash grab on the portable side.

Well, last time it was on sale on PSN (about two months ago) it was $15 for Plus members. That right there's pretty significant.
