Tried the The Crew 2 closed beta...  Let me say its gotten much better than the closed alpha I played but thats really not saying much.  I found fun in the first one, though I didn't finish it, but I just cannot think that this game is a step backwards...  At least on the road.  I only did the planes and boats for as long as I had too.

The rear view mirror in the cockpit mode does not work, its frame locked... and the story is just paint by numbers bad...  Instead of so bad its good like the first one.  This one you just want to become a known racer so you can race more stuff.  The first one you wanted to get revenge for your brother's murder.

Storybundle has a new bundle of Boss Battle e-books, which are pretty much nonfiction stories of people interacting with video games. I haven't read too many, and a few of these are rebundled, but i'll be getting it. The full bundle cost $15.

I can't wait for the sequel: "Is the dress black and blue or white and gold?"
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=Hardcore%20Studio

I'm seriously all on board for purging developers like this

We should get back to talking about how bad Fallout76 is going to be.
Despite all of the "evidence" suggesting it'll be some mmo base building bullshit shoe-horned into Fallout-ness, I hope it's not and/or it'll have a single player option, but, in all honesty, Beth, with their paid mods and evolving business practices, will probably drop the real fans right on their heads. I'm excited for RAGE 2, but, again, their "ongoing games as a service" or whatever the fuck it's called puts a lump in my throat. I'll buy the game and it's SP, if it's a series I've enjoyed in the past and want more of, but that's the extent of what I'm willing to do. No nickel and diming.

I want to know if the next update in Depot of the Steam DB for Fallout 3 and New Vegas is/are for a Creation Club update, G4WL removal on FO3, HD Texture/Remaster, new DLC's, and/or whatever...

Might be a good time to back-up FO3 and NV elsewhere in some other folder, if you haven't...just in case the next update breaks mods or God knows what else.

They should have actually made a hybrid back then instead of simply making a Metroid-themed pinball game.  I guess it wasn't terrible but it wasn't a great pinball game either.

Remember how Origin is totally awful and spyware because of something that happened 20 years ago?

I can't wait for all the steam fan bois to abandon steam now because of this.
Pretty important detail everyone keeps missing:

"In order for an attacker’s UDP packets to be accepted by the client, they must observe an outbound (client->server) datagram being sent in order to learn the client/server IDs of the connection along with the sequence number."

In plain english this means: They'd need to take your internet connection first and be able to listen on everything you do.

If you are in situation that someone can do this, you're fucked up in large variety of ways, this isn't that big deal anymore.

(Don't use insecure wlans or untrusted networks)

:p

And how many people use insecure and untrusted networks? Public wifi? I think it's a bigger deal than you make it out to be and personally I will never use Steam for a game and buy all my games from Steam now on and I hope Steam goes out of business.

GOG is t3h future.
DRM-FREE and optional client is awesome.

But, well..it's too bad that right now, Galaxy and its Community stuff isn't on Steam's level.

Also, Galaxy isn't feature rich (especially when compared to Steam - Steam has Big Picture, Steam Link app on Samsung HDTV's or Steam Link device; take screenies & post them; etc etc).

Public wifi would be ok, as long as it's encrypted. (In most cases).

But still, if someone can get your traffic, steam isn't biggest of your problems.

I don't care how it runs in an arena, how does it run in your parent's basement?
Whether I'm in an arena, basement, or wherever.

Whether I'm running the EVGA SC15 w/ the 6GB GTX 1060m or my Custom Desktop w/ the GTX 970.

Yeah, it's all good, at the very least.

I don't understand how we ended up with another Fallout before we got another Elder Scrolls.

It makes no sense to me.

Skyrim has only sold in like 10 different iterations.  I personally have bought 3 different versions so far (OG, the SE for all the expansions, and now on the Switch for the kid).  I MIGHT buy the OR version if it didn't give me such a damned prolonged headache.

Instead, I get the half-assed crap that is ESO for my Tamriel fix.  Which is dumb.

Maybe we haven't. The short turn-around time is one of the reasons why I believe this is not going to be a fully fledged 'game' in the sense that 3, NV, and 4. Seeing as Bethesda typically takes half a dozen or more years to put out a proper sequel this will likely be very low on the content side and very high on the paid mods/builder/gimmick side.

Do not be surprised when they use marketing speak like 'YOU WRITE THE STORY' during E3.

Just an FYI for anyone who pre-ordered Vampyr it looks like the unlock date got changed to today.  It's now showing it should unlock in about 5 hours or so.

Aren't those E3 bundles usually full of shitty games that have already been $1 but they charge $50 for it?
I think last year was

As always, Humble Bundle uses a tiered payment system. If you pay a single dollar, you’ll gain the following:

500 Amazon Coins
Gemini: Heroes Reborn
Crossout – Thug Starter Pack
SpellForce 3 – Beta Access
Battle Islands Commander – E3 Exclusive Crate
Gems of War – Demon Hunter Bundle
HAWKEN – Prosk Starter Bundle
MXM Poharan Pack
Blade & Soul Shadow Guard Bundle
Tyranny Portrait Pack
Gotham City Imposters – Professional Imposter Kit
Rock of Ages 2 – Classic Pack

Then Humble Bundle raises the stakes with a $5 tier:

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Edition
Robocraft Eagle Pack
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex First Strike Online – First Connection Crate
Riders of Icarus E3 Heroic Ranger’s Fury Pack
Neverwinter Gilded White Steed
Dreadnought Fleet Recruitment Pack (PS4)
Paragon Gunslinger Pack

And finally, the $15 tier:

HackyZack
Verdun
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2
Two Twitch Crates
Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
Total War: Warhammer – The Grim and the Grave DLC

I take it that you got the EVGA SC15 from the sale on EVGA's site? The laptop seems to have gone under the radar, but it does seem to have a strong build quality. The heavy weight and poor battery because of Gsync were major drawbacks for me, as I would rather go for something much sleeker and lighter.

And with a little over two weeks left until the Steam summer sale, I do wonder what sorts of discounts we will see. I hope to see a MGS V discount that matches the Humble promo from last month. That title has barely seen any discount on Steam, with the cheapest being 33 percent off the complete edition. Maybe we will see 52 percent off the Call of Duty games this time!

Yep, I sure did buy it from the EVGA sale on their site.

I love the G-Sync and the 120hz on this thing. I have never experienced games looking and feeling so smooth, sharp, and fast like this ever. It's just awesome and in a league of its own. I thought 60fps was great w/ my desktop GTX 970 at 1080p or 1440p (depends per game) - but these framerates blow that away. Even when games take nasty framerate hits of like 30 frames - w/ the fast refresh rate at 120hz, G Sync, and the power of this 6gb 1060M - eh, you don't feel a thing. I really feel like I spoiled the hell out of myself.

I really should test the SC15 w/ my 4K 27'' monitor just to see how things might run and pan out at say 1440p w/ certain games, as this does comes w/ a HDMI port.

I haven't seen any Celsius degrees over 79 on the SC15. 79C has been tops here on this SC15, running GR: Wildlands. This is running at full blast, no limitations. Nothing overlocked, though. In my old Acer Nitro laptop w/ the 960M, I've seen temps around 104C with Fallout 4. Crazy. Had to limit GPU and CPU power on the Acer just to keep the heat levels down.

I'm loving this laptop. For $1000, I think it's fantastic.

Yeah, it found 3 games to add but missed one that I have installed, Grim Dawn. Then I noticed my steam profile is private so I switched it to public again and they say to wait two hours after profile changes. Perhaps GoG remembered the 3 games from the last time I linked the accounts or its just buggy.

GOG Connect can be finicky. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was not showing as eligible. Hitting the refresh icon fixed that issue. Still, I love getting free GOG versions of games that I got for free from Humble/Steam.
