This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

The Newegg deals are also looking pretty bad, if the preview on SD is right. I hope Superbiiz actually has a sale, right now theres just a 15% (up to $15) coupon. Code is PRIMOPROMO, but I would wait.

Some Australian on Reddit said they got the uncensored US version and they couldn't activate it on Steam without having to use a vpn so possibly it's blocked in your region because they aren't allowed to sell the uncensored version there.

I guess they have to get the version with a Koala picture up instead of anal probing.

Maybe you guys get a picture of a Kiwi bird instead. :p
The regular version is restricted in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Germany; not New Zealand.

Happy Prime Day on Amazon USA

92% - Sonic Hits Collection [Online Game Code] - $9.04 - (Steam)

There are some more deals, most of them from Sega.

I didn't even want it and I probably won't play it. It's never really been my thing. But it was close enough to my $5 jumping on point that I just said fuck it and bought it. I don't think anyone else will have it that low and I don't see it in a $1 tier even if it did end up in a Humble.
yeah, given that it was still 13 in the steam sale i think it'll be another year possibly before it even hits 7.50 on steam, let alone five bucks

im so bitter that i spent 30 bucks on the sonic collection a few years back. i think i've only played one game in it and part of another. i dont even really like sonic that much which i didnt realize until i bought the pack. i THOUGHT i liked sonic because of nostalgia, which is a hell of a drug

There's a $10 pack of Binary Domain/Alpha BROtocol, Typing of the Dead, Condemned, and some other trash.  Not amazing but not bad if you don't own the majority of them.

After doing a bit of searching, it looks like Nuuvem does do region checks against Paypal accounts for some games, resulting in the "Operation Cancelled" error which I receive when trying to buy South Park. :wall:

So... if someone here's willing to help me out, I'd appreciate it. 8-[

Have Nuuvem introduced Paypal country checks? Just tried to buy South Park, and it just says that it's unavailable in my region after I complete Paypal checkout.

So it's past midnight in the UK and already Prime Day there. They are running a few PC download deals but if their's are any indication of what the PC Download deals for US Prime Day might be, don't bother staying up for it.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=pin15_gw_d_roto_event_digitalgames?ie=UTF8&node=5137855031

There's only a small handful of Ubi and EA games and Eve online and nothing below 50% off, save some Eve Online starter pack, whith most of them being far less off than 50%
I wouldn't read too much into it. Our Amazon digital downloads store was made by AmazonJosh for his third-grade science project.

It's that good.

Prime Day

Alien: Isolation (Steam) - $12.50
Far Cry 4 (Uplay) - $20.00
NBA 2K15 (Steam) - $20.00
Pillars of Eternity Hero Edition (Steam) - $30.14
SEGA 48-Game Mega Arcade Pack (Steam) - $4.89
Sega Shoot Em Up Pack (Steam) - $9.89
Sonic Hits Collection (Steam) - $9.04
Styx: Master of Shadows (Steam) - $10.20
Valkyria Chronicles (Steam) - $5.00
WWE 2K15 (Steam) - $24.99
Nice job w/ getting the deals up.

Most of those are the typical Amazon disappointment, since Tony left & all. :(

EDIT:

Nice job w/ finding those links!

Looks like....

Groupees Apocalypse bundle is currently doing Dollar days:  Did anyone who grabbed this previously want to hook up a fellow CAG with a bundle for a buck?  PM me with your paypal email and I'll send you the dollar.  Thanks!

That's a pretty crappy price for old, but good, games... Condemned stands out for anyone who hasn't played it - is one of the finest horror games ever made.

Amazon is too mainstream to have any type of good deals. This includes all of their stock and not just video games. So if you're looking for a generic smart tv or the latest wacky 'must-have' gadget then you're in luck. I held off buying a pair of new running shoes about a week on the small chance they put Asics on sale but I won't hold my breath.
Asics gel cumulus 15 coming up

I think tonight is the last time we see new Nuuvem deals (sale ends on the 16th).  Haven't bought much; half-hoping that Far Cry is featured for a deal on the FC4 Season Pass.  The franchise has a timed discount but it hasn't been featured yet so I'm thinking the chances are pretty good.

Eh, it's not that crappy. $3ish each for those three games (they rarely go lower individually) plus the other two thrown in.

Looks like creative differences b/t Yager + Deep Silver on Dead Island 2 are what led to Yager being dropped:

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/07/15/deep-silver-drops-yager-as-developer-of-dead-island-2-.aspx?utm_content=buffer749ed&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

”Our YAGER team is fully committed to the development of AAA quality titles," writes Timo Ullmann, CEO of YAGER Group. "We work closely with international publishers and partners and have at the same time always remained an independent development studio. Our team is made of the best creative minds and tech specialists who all share a common identity. The team worked with enthusiasm to take Dead Island 2 to a new level of quality. However, YAGER and Deep Silver's respective visions of the project fell out of alignment, which led to the decision that has been made. We’ll focus our current efforts on Dreadnought together with Six Foot and our publisher Grey Box as well as on new projects. More details will be disclosed soon. All I can reveal at this point is that gamescom will be awesome for Dreadnought.”

Game was just cheaper on nuuvem, but that is a new low for the DLC. The whole package is prime bundle material too, but I'm gonna moran that DLC anyway.

Yeah I think it's smarter to buy the DLC and wait for the base game to be bundled, the DLC could still get bundled though, but less likely.

I still feel for the money and/or for those fresh console converts, these low end Alphas are a great, cheap gateway drug to PC gaming.
Ehhh, I feel like it'll give them more of a reason to stay away from PC gaming. "Zomg my Peebox U can play Witcher 3 and this thing can't? PC gaming sux!" All consoletards have their graphics settings locked, so they've never had to worry about anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.

Increased RAM, but otherwise the same model...

But, I get what you're saying. Obviously, you lose the walled garden that is inherent with console gaming, but morans are gonna moran, regardless of what system they play on.

Ewww @ 25 frames at 1080p w/ settings on High.

Medium at 37 frames ain't too bad.

You know, a couch increases the framerate and resolution of games, thus making PS4 and Xbox One far superior to even the best gaming rig. But seriously, a gaming PC that uses mobile parts and is in a crappy looking console shell. You lose so much of the customizability that makes gaming PC's what they are. Better to just build a mini-ATX system if you need something more portable. E-ATX master race all day.

Re: Derp Island 2.  Creative vision?  More like they were taking too long and had their contract voided.  When you sign on to do something like DI2 you aren't doing it to tell some kind of meta-story.

I think Dr. Sasquatch might benefit from this.

Anyways, if someone is interested.
