Mine's pretty easy too:

Marvel Original Pack for Pinball FX2

The Witcher Adventure Game

The Banner Saga

To the Moon, too! Comic+

$11.26 in card money (well, not really card money, leftover Steam Wallet from a $20 card I got for my birthday in September)

I finally bit on The Banner Saga after waiting for years for it to turn up in a $1 tier of a Humble, so it will probably be in the weekly Thursday.

Dammit!

Cant decide on Elite Dangerous or not...

With the expansion next month/this month, it will be $45 if you own the base game or $60 for full game...

Someone tell meh

(I dont have a Joy or Hotus...so I'd either have to buy one or play on controller or KB/M)
I bought it but ended up refunding it. I just dont want to deal with it and know I wont put the time into it.

Anyway, haul:

Kings Quest Complete - 9.99 Newegg glitch

Crookz

Scholar of the First Sin upgrade

New ARES glitch (0.49)

Starships and Beyond Earth combo pack - 13.39 from a trader

I got a new mouse too and its great so Im happy.

ark first impressions

created ackbars wife with giant boobs, thighs and hips

spawned into world, it was cold and dark, i needed to find shelter

ran around killed a couple dido birds and leveled up

was killed by a dildophsauraus

100 out of 10 great game, cant wait to get killed by a dildophsauraus again

So going by previous conversations, my Friends Activity feed, and the few haul posts, it would appear that this sale was deemed pretty good. The comments that I've seen and the general feeling I get bring me to the conclusion that the success is largely based on the inclusion of many games that seldom see a discount.

In summary:

+ seldom discounted games

+ a few all-time lows

+ we all have card money burning holes in our virtual wallets

- fewer glitches

- less to bitch about discuss in here

- no tingly feeling of newness every day at 1pm EST

Assuming discounts are similar in the Winter Sale, that there will be a similar sale format, and the event will be stupid, I wonder how our hoarding will fare? Will enough new games be added to the list? Will we have additional discounts and/or glitches? Will the event be exploitable so cool that we all make out like bandits?

y u bai dis?

Do you have an old ass video card or something? Even if so, you know you'll have to end up buying the DX 11 later.

I hate how they tried to turn DX9 into console style 'last gen' and DX11 into console style 'next gen'.

Just no.
He got the DX11 version now. Scholar of the First Sin is not available in DX9. The verbiage on the store thing after you buy the upgrade is just weird. DSII original pre-Scholar is DX9.

Gotta say, the Steam Link is pretty sweet. Paired up no problem with PS4 controllers. Automatically fit every game I tried to my tv. Which is really nice, since I was testing games that always went completely wonky when I would hook up my pc to my tv. The type that would start in windowed mode for no reason even though on monitor it started full screen. Pretty pleased.

Kinda late to respond for you to catch it this sale, but if the Christmas sale is a carbon copy it won't much matter.

While the expansion would probably be better if you're an obsessive completionist, the $15 base game is a hell of a thing. The game does eventually reach a ridiculous soulless grind of nothing-going-on eventually, but it takes a good 50+ hours to reach that point. Buying earlier ships and upgrades comes at a fairly fast pace, and it isn't until you're sitting in a hotrodded midrange ship do you realize that while there's really good progression in ships and ship upgrades, there's very little progression in mission types and ways to make money. By and large you'll do the exact same things you did to make money in the beginning, you'll just be doing them faster/more efficiently.

But like I said, it takes a while for that to start to sink in. And until it does you'll have some wild space adventures with great graphics, sound, and pretty enjoyable dogfighting. At $50 it's harder to recommend Elite, but at $15 you'll probably get sufficient good times out of it.

The expansion also seems to be adding pretty tertiary shit to the game so far. Planetary landings on moons and small rocky worlds, no buzzing Earth-likes and flying over cities or anything. You'll be able to get moon buggies and race around and find crashed ships on them for salvage and crap, but the whole thing seems a bit questionable given the main appeal of Elite is flying around in your space ship. Moon buggies are cool but I dunno about $60 moon buggy DLC. Another reason the $15 base game by itself is appealing even though it's included with the expansion.

I didn't buy anything substantial from Steam itself this sale. Prices will be the same or better in the Winter Sale and we'll probably get extra trading cards when we buy.

In fact, I'm kinda surprised all you dumbasses bought so much.

Last two years I've thought like that and at least one of the games I was going to buy was more expensive during the Christmas sale.

And just as many were cheaper.

I bought nothing. Now come on over here and sit on my lap and purr.

Everyone who bought Arkham Knight just got all the previous Arkham games added to their account - including all DLC - for free.

But no Arkham Knight season pass 'cause fuck you.

Boy I can't think of anything that buyers of the latest Bamham game need than all the previous Bamhams.

I'm curious what the numbers are. How many bought AK without owning a single previous Bamham?

My ps4 runs buttman awesomely..
Is it 1080p60FPS then on consoles...?

I only needed Blackgate to complete the Batman Arkham collection.

Looks like WB solved that problem.

Now, if WB would give me Arkham Knight Season Pass, that'd make everything just fine and dandy.

I'm sure very few did not own at least one of the games. Most likely those that pre-ordered and did not refund the game owned more than one. That's what made it such an attractive "apology" for Warner Bros.

But it's good for PR. Sounds really generous.

And let me guess, they just add the license to people's accounts instead of actually doing something useful like giving inventory copies so they could give them to someone else.

"You’ve requested a significant number of refunds recently. Please keep in mind that refunds are not a method for trying out games. If we think the refund system is being misused we’ll decline to grant future refunds."
Steam has said this for like the last 6 months of refunds lol

Note, JC3 is not nearly as well optimized as MGS5:The Grindan Pain or Mad Max, much less JC2.

Seems to be the major complaint of JC3 - performance issues galore.

So, did basically Avalanche put their everything into Mad Max or something...?

Oh look, for the two people who haven't pirated or gotten it bundled, the Monaco soundtrack is now on Steam.

My computer literally has not been upgraded for years. Remember, I buy prebuilt. It's a Radeon HD 5800 which I hope at least one of you understands is kinda old. Maybe. I have to scroll down REAL far to get driver updates at AMD.

So I can't really be the poster-boy for JC3's problems. I am not the average JC3 consumer. Mostly I refunded it because nobody mentioned just crippling chugging freezing in the first 30 seconds of the game specifically.
