For anyone who bought Dragon Commander...

...does the game come w/ Steam''s CEG DRM?

In other words - when you boot the game from the actual game folder by its EXE file - even if Steam's closed, does it force Steam client program to boot up?
The game starts on it's own via .exe. It does not start the Steam client.
Awesome.

I'll have to make sure to buy the Steam-version, when I do - best of both Steam worlds + DRM-FREE worlds!

(Boot EXE when Steam's closed, only the game boots)

Doesn't really surprise me, given Larian's major dislike for DRM.

I think Div 2 DKS works like this (ain't tried it since I don't have it there; but I recall Larian did release DRM-FREE EXE on their boards; and you could apply that to Steam-version).

I'd guess Div 2 DC works like this, as well.

EDIT:

Man, I wish there was a Demo for this Dragon Commander. Bleh.

EDIT 2:

You should be happy that THIS makes it VERY easy for me to want the Steam-version.

For me - If only all Steam-games were like that. ;)

alt-255 for the win

Any cool deals today? I forced myself to stay off the PC all day so I'm out of the loop.
Strike Vector is half off and you can get a copy from a 4pack for $5.75, it a online only arcade dogfighting game, looks pretty good.

Or just save your money and get dat deluxe edition of Trials on ps4 :)

Stardock pulled a Bethesda on the Sins DLC apparently. It's only 50% off. Waaaat waaaat waaaat waaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
I so love Bethesda/Zenimax; Stardock; and BioWare for so screwing game-owners w/ the way they sell/price DLC's, Complete Editions - especially for gamers who bought Base-Games.

Great way to please Base-Game owners who'll skip the CAG Tradition and buy early to support the dev's + pub's!

Best NEW Publishing Trend EVAR!

What an outstanding deal!
If you don't like your money
Agreed. I kind of want it but it's overpriced in my opinion. The regular price of Legend of Grimrock is less than the sale price of this game. I don't see why they are charging so much for a retro style game other than being published by Ubisoft. 33% off is nothing to write home about either.

in all fairness it was just released 2 1/2 months ago. i want it, but based on reviews i'm not willing to pay more than 5 bucks, tops, for it. if there was a weekly Might & Magic HB and this was in the 6 dollar tier along with something else i'd be down

i know, i know...hypothetical hb speak...gonna wake the machine

That's the other thing, reviews are kind of eh, which I might take a chance on for $10 or less but not at this price.

Also technically speaking it's been out for longer than that, but was 'Early Access'.

But yeah, I'd be down for it too if there was ever an Ubi Humble, which I still think is likely eventually due to their selling some of their games already through the Humble store. They might not give Steam keys though.

If Ubi did a bundle, I'd probably buy regardless of whether they provided Steam keys, assuming the games in the bundle didn't happen to be mostly ones I already have. I'm missing a lot of Ubisoft games, and a bundle would likely prove to be too good a deal to turn down just because Steam keys aren't involved.

Tried to buy something from Unisoft store, was annoyed that my 35% coupon doesn't stack with sale prices.  But decided to go with it anyway and was blocked from #FakeCAG by the error...

There is money to authorize, But no Aurthorize [sic] delegated were applicable, 14652633042

Rock on, Ubisoft.
