I saw some curious talk about custom heads in BattleBlock Theater in my Steam activity thread. If anyone's interested you just need to drop a 128x128 transparent background PNG into the \GameData\UserFaces\ folder within the game's directory. I recommend squishing them vertically a bit because the game will stretch them.

I did the CAGcast crew here.

There's a subreddit here.

Man, I didn't realize that my Game PC is becoming dated.

i7 2700K, Ran the benchmark while steam was running that god awful update.

This Computer 3150

CPU Mark 7049 points. (i7 2700K)

2D Graphics 764

3D Graphics 3964 (Sapphire AMD 7970)

Memory Mark 2381 (16 Gb )

Disk Mark 1252 (Dual 3TB 7200 disks in Raid 0)

Maybe I should get a new CPU in the summer Intel Retail Edge Summer Deal.

Bummer, I have an i5-3570k too which scores a 7178. One would need an i7-3820 or better to be at the 9000 level.

I was reading about Ubisoft saying that Watchdogs is CPU dependent and won't start with less than 6GB of ram. I hope my i5 3570k is strong enough.

Shit my CPU is not strong enough to max the game, it needs 9000+ passmark score they say.

The internet is a much better place when we try to convince someone else that they are wrong and insist on getting the last comment in.
No it's not. And if you'd pull your head out of squirrel's food nuts' sack for one minute, you'd see it.

Yeah, that's a great example. I could say German porn is the best, most fetishistic porn in the world, and then Idiot could argue that no, Japanese porn is after all; and then Bobby could start going into the weird stuff Brazilian transexuals get into.

And we'd have to call him a :newbie: , of course.
I know, right? Who among us can honestly say they've never slept with a Brazilian transexual....

And yet no one likes to talk about how the end of the Cold War lead to a glut of Eastern European porn performers willing to do more for less, creating a huge and lasting change in the industry.

I must be odd. I consider myself to be an older gamer (44) and I have enjoyed both JRPGs and WRPGs. I'm going to reserve the possibility that some of them wouldn't hold up as well were I to play them today, but I remember having a great time with games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Shining Force, Chrono Trigger, Suikoden, and Alundra.

I've leaned more towards WRPGs in the last 10 years because I just haven't owned many consoles since the PS era (except a Gamecube and Wii for Nintendo exclusives); and I do find myself annoyed more by bad JRPGs than bad WRPGs. But I do see the appeal of well-designed games in both genres.

Trust me... Japanese porn is way weirder... Germans have no imaginations. Poop? Check. Pee? Check. Whatever bodily fluids exist? Check.

Japanese bring fucking eels and lizards and frogs and... *shudders* I know it's hard to fathom, but there are some things that even I cannot get down with.

That's just it. Bad JRPGs annoy you. Bad WRPGs bore you. Since annoyance is a more palpable emotion, it's generally easier to hate them more.

[Idiot's Wall of Text +5]
It's understandable that the older generation such as yourself (not a knock on you or anyone, but you're not a kid) may prefer and cling to the genre you grew up with, while shunning the "crazy Japanese stuff", because a lot of times that isn't a bad definition for it. It's a shame to not give some excellent games and stories in the genre a try though. You never know! If I could recommend any JRPG to you, it would be Final Fantasy Tactics. Is the story wild? Yes it is, but it's also very serious and heavily political, with the "wild" stuff kind of simmering beneath the surface. Excellent story, even if it gets confusing near the end, and even better gameplay. Not a game I think anyone in any generation should miss.
I don't disagree with any of this. I think my brother actually recommended FFT to me at some point. He had a PS/2 and maybe a 1 back in the day.

You're odd.

Anime is crap.  But I don't blame the youth.  Pokemon and those other awful cartoons brainwashed a whole generation.  You didn't grow up on stalwarts like Loony Toons, Woody Woodpecker, the assorted classics of Hanna-Barbera, etc.  Your minds were poisoned before they had a chance to flourish.  I blame the parents.  It's always the parents.

Unsurprisingly the title gave away another of the bonuses (Nosferatu).

EDIT: They're really reaching for the stars with that first bonus goal (2,000).
Nosferatu and Realms of the Haunting should've been in the base bundle as both are horror games. lol @ iBomber being horror, and I don't think Grimind is horror either.

Seriously, what's the point of 6 bonuses? If you added some of the "bonuses" the $1-tier, the bundles would sell much better.

But yes, lol @ 2k sales for one bonus. Anyone else smell a Dollar Days coming? :p

I'm not sure how I got involved in this...

Actually I did watch those. I wasn't allowed to watch anything anime related as a child because my parents thought it was demonic for reasons I never learned.

This doesn't seem too bad at the moment.

They also have a Cork Film Festival bundle underway, but that one's all short and feature-length films. It's also pretty pricey.

Try using a different browser. Apparently it doesn't play nice with firefox.
Yes, it worked fine for me with Chrome.
How convenient, I just installed Chrome yesterday. It worked!

I just received an email from Ubisoft Brazil to let me know Watch Dogs has been moved up to May 26th. Maybe they're giving PCers that extra day to download it cause motherfreakin Uplay doesn't support pre-loading.

I was in my early to mid teens when anime started to be played regularly on Cartoon Network, and I, for one, certainly grew up with Loony Toons, Woody Woodpecker, and the assorted crappics of Hanna-Barbera, alongside a few more modern cartoons.

Those old cartoons were crap. Western cartoons didn't start getting good until the mid-nineties. :nottalking:

One more thing for us to disagree on, I suppose. The old Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons were the best cartoons of all time. Bugs is awesomely subversive and the original Daffy Duck was frankly insane and rather hilarious (later Daffy Duck cartoons have him relegated to a role of playing a selfish, greedy and cowardly foil to Bugs and Porky Pig).

This is one of the best cartoons ever:

Actually I will give you that Loony Toons was not bad for its day. Days. Really anything they did before I was born (everything afterwards was godawful). I actually also kinda like Top Cat, but that could just be me.

But Scooby-Doo? Tom and Jerry? Ugh. You ask me, quite nearly all kids animation released on American television before 1990 fell somewhere on the spectrum between boring and offensively bad.
