Nah, the big fight on the bridge is from 12 - 19, and then it's over. 20 - 25 is the pre-exams stuff and the written test (which is a little funny), and then 26 is annoying filler you should never watch ever.

It's funny. I only decided to get into the series because of the Ultimate Ninja games on PS2 and now I know way more than I should.

Those games were good, I miss some of their elements in Ninja Storm (having to input the right combination of buttons during Ult Jutsus), but I get that changes had to be made for the better.

Are you using your Steam key or your CD key? I'm pretty sure I picked it up on Steam during the first real price drop after the EA publishing takeover, and the CD key worked on Origin.

I went to CD keys and copied the key in there, I think. There are two? I only see one key, under CD Keys. Origin recognized it, as it told me it had already been used.

Oh wait you picked it up AFTER EA started publishing it, I pre-ordered it.

You know, Mortal Kombat is one of my least favorite fighting series. I strongly dislike the gameplay, but I'm kind of fascinated by the levels and various fatalities/babalities, and other such nonsense they pack in there.

Did you try unplugging the controller before restarting? I usually have my PS3 controller plugged in, but I'll either remember to unplug it or just use it when I play and hopefully avoid any issues. I won't have time to play until Thursday or Friday, but I'm looking forward to it. The reviews on Steam are overwhelmingly positive so far.

I hate having to do this. So few games properly detect the players input method, and even fewer will seamlessly switch between the two in game.

I restarted the game and the issue went away.

The game still needs to have clickable buttons though - I can select "Quit" but then the game asks me if I want to quit or cancel... and I have to press Enter or Esc when the mouse is already over the appropriate buttons in the screen? That's just bad UI design.

I'm enjoying what I've played so far, though! It's got some decent acting, but some weird animation problems (as in things look awkward sometimes.) Makes me sad that Squeenix basically left this to die. Looks like they've got a winner here and nobody there gave a damn.

... You know, I'm wondering if Playfire will have any rewards for this. ... and if I just lost the "play for the first time" one because I'm not in Europe (it launches in three days over there.)

Sounds like a good strategy. Most of my current wish list is just KF DLC (though it probably won't hit 75% off yet again).

I'm in a similar situation, but I have to admit most of the games in EA are pretty reasonably priced. I bought The Forest because a $15 MSRP is not bad at all. Rust is also quite reasonably priced at $20 if you really want to play it. DayZ is pushing it a bit at $30, but I'm happy playing the mod until the standalone sees a big sale.

It is uncagly to buy anything at full price, but there also has to be a difference between what you would pay for a +1 going into your backlog and something you see yourself sinking time into.

I still need to play more of The Forest, but loved the first playthrough I had. Reading the negative reviews, most seem to be gripes about bugs (which is weird since it is EA and bugs are expected), but the game has a lot of positive feedback.

 
So I played a few hours of State of Decay the past couple of days.. and I like it?  I think I like it... I do feel a bit overwhelmed with all the things they keep asking me to do - I mean she gives me 3 missions that need doing over the radio while I am on my way to the one she gave me in the first place.  Maybe I am missing something on delegating :shrug:

I'm also a little put off by the lack of a conventional save system.  I don't want to savescumm or anything, but it'd be nice to have a little more control over things.

I'll play a bit more before I truly decide if the game is for me, I think I need to come to grips with the fact that I can't do EVERYTHING... but I would like a little more time to do the things I WANT to do.  In a way it kind of reminds me of GTA IV - I keep getting phone calls from my stupid cousin who wants to play darts while I am trying to do something important.

State of Decay feels like the most epic zombie game ever made for like ... the first two weeks you play it. Then suddenly you hit this wall and realize it's a $20 game for a reason. It's great but it's like a flame that burns extremely bright and extinguishes fast. It's a great concept and I will definitely buy their MMO, but even having purchased the two expansions on 360 ... once you beat the initial game, it's almost like the thrill is gone and everything else becomes the same rinse and repeat experience. I would argue that it's a game that appears deeply complex at first but gives way to repetition and not enough complexity as time goes on. Definitely fun ... but gets annoying and overwhelming in some ways while feeling very limited in other ways. Just my two cents ... still worth a buy.

It reminds me a bit of Dead Rising. Not sure if you've played it, but as you are doing the main missions you get notices of side missions you can choose to take, but the more you do side stuff, the more it eats into your time to finish the game under deadline. It promoted more than only playthrough for me, but it can also be annoying if you don't want to invest that much time into it.

 
Dead Rising is fun from a kill a bunch of zombies in derpy fashion perspective.  I played both 2 and 2 OTR even though they were essentially the same game save a boss fight or two.

Kind of. But it doesn't hold true for all EA games -- just the ones you really want to play. I've got loads of EA games that just happened to be bundled.
