So I looked up Gravity Badgers and watched the trailer. I gotta say watching the charcters get introduced had me hoping for a battletoadsesque game not whatever type of game that it actually is.

Well that's part of the problem, right? I had no idea who Anthony Burch was, and haven't read/seen any of his other stuff so I was able to enjoy BL2 on its own, hilarious merits. And the Tiny Tina DLC was a rare example of successful character development for what are usually one-note punchlines.

I did forget to cross it off, but you are in luck because I just got a huge batch of keys from Palinn, and that was on there.

So Germany won the final?

*yawn* This is why I didn't bother watching the game. I just didn't have any emotional investment with either team. They're both multiple World Cup winners, same with Brazil. It doesn't help that the list of countries that have ever won the World Cup is incredibly short (8, with 5 of them with multiple wins), despite the vast number of nations that compete.

Either of them winning isn't a surprise, at least to me, I was under the impression that Germany had always been a favourite to win the cup and it's frankly boring unless you follow the team or live in the particular nation. The last team I had any interest in winning before they got knocked out was Netherlands (and Brazil, simply because of how terrible they did in the semis) because they've been to the finals so many times but never won. Now if Netherlands was in the finals, I would have watched for sure.

Too bad all the underdog teams screwed up this year, but c'est la vie.

Torchlight 1/2 was cool when I had a half broken piece of crap dell with decade old integrated graphics and it was one of the only newer games I could get running. Then I bought a gaming system and moved onto better games.

Outside of being vaguely aware that is the name of a cartoon that clarifies nothing for me but that's ok. It looked liked nothing I would be interested in. Now a side scrolling beat em up with the characters introduced in that trailer set in space with some gravity mechanics? Graphics and gameplay similar to battletoads? Oh yeah, come to papa. Just unrealistic hopes that were fueled about 5-7 seconds into the trailer. Not their fault. But go back and watch the trailer to just the end of the character intros with what I said in mind and tell me you wouldn't buy what I described.

Same here, but then I found out my broken piece of crap laptop could run Borderlands 2, then things were never the same.

With GTA V announced I guess it's time to buy me one of them fancy gamin' laptops the cool kids have. Anyone have any good recommendations?
