Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Wish I could find Gears of War 2 on clearance :whistle2:(

I picked Rock Band used to use with the Beatles Set I got yesterday at the $62.xx price. My girlfriend and I played for six hours tonight. First time with the whole music game thing, glad CAG allowed me to try it for so cheap :D.
Found Game Party 2 for the Wii for $3.74.
I thought the Game Party games were shovelware crap. Are they any good? I would like to find a good air hockey game... dang this thread is making me want to go to Target.

I wish I could have found Beatles RB bundle for that cheap! LOL ...if you are interested in GOW2, I'm open to trades. Let me know.

Any game should be worth it if it's under $4.

If you say so, dude... are you gonna buy some barbie game if it's $3.75?? How about Superman 64 back in the day? I bet you coulda got that turd for < $4.

Please.

I guess I should have specified that any current gen game should be worth it . And yes, if there was a Barbie game, I would buy it since I am sure my daughter would love it .

Plus even if you didn't like the game, I'm sure you could sell it or trade it in for more than $3.74 after you played it. I have done that before, 1 game I can remember is Stuntman for PS2, it was $4.98, I didn't like the game and traded it in at FYE for $7.50

Agreed. Especially if you consider PC games.

Oh *current* gen. Sorry. I'm sure every current gen title out there is worth my time if it drops to sub $4.

And on the daughter thing... you got me there, lol. But would you finish said Barbie game? huh?

Anyway, back to my question... has anybody actually played Game Party 2, and is it any good?

Seems like metacritic might argue about this thing's worth, which is why I asked about it in the first place.

Found fallout 3 ps3 (not goty) for $10. They had a lot.
nintendogs dalmation 7.48
naruto shippudin (?) clash of ninja 3 (wii) 9.99 ( trades for $11 + 50%)
my stop smoking coach DS 3.74
and a ps2 disney singit game with mic 3.74
bakugan ps3 $20 or $25(i think)
singstar queen ps3 $20(?)

Preface this with I was only looking at Wii versions.

I checked the Target at North Carolina RTP Brier Creek Tuesday. I did not see Beatles Rock Band, but I did see Band Hero. The set however was not stickered for clearance and when I took it to a scanner, it only rang up $20 off (so $159). Cheaper than the $179 shelf sticker, but not a real deal.

All the Guitar Hero software is still in the cases at original price. I was sort of hoping for a good GH:Smash Hits drop to take advantage of the GH5 $5 off coupon though I could go to Best Buy if I really wanted it. The Rock Band software was on sale in the case at $29.99.

Parma, OH Target had Guitar Hero: Metallica for the Wii for $9.98. Picked up the only copy. Beatles sets for :360: and :ps3: were $62, but not in stock anymore. Really crappy selections for game clearances of late and some games are now locked in the glass cases. Booooo.

No drops. Somebody bought the only Beatles RB SE. It made it to $125 and disappeared. Oh well I did pickup some golf shirts for 75% off.

Im still wondering why they made this game. Are parents really borrowing their kids DSs while they arent looking to play the quick smoking game?

I guess that brings up the question, is it actually a game?

Ive seen a few of them at targets, usually Ill grab a 3$ DS game regardless but this might be that 1 that really makes no sense, maybe not even to flip.

Do you really think the DS sold as well as it did without having adults pick it up?

maybe they should invent a Start Smoking game with a stylus that resembles a cigarette and kids can learn how to properly blow smoke rings. I'd buy that.

I know quite a few people over the age of 40 who have their own Nintendo DS.

As a dad of 3 that is slowly approaching 40 I can say...

.... a family that plays together, stays together!

If any Northern VA CAGs spot Beatles RB (360) or MW2:HE (360), please send me a private message. I've hit a few Targets with no luck. With a wife and baby at home, it is hard to just drive around hunting for a few hours. Thanks!

Picked up the Beatles RB for PS3...good deal!

Have a question about Band Hero for the 360 in general...what is the verdict on the instruments? I have googled around, but have not really found a website that gives a definitive review about the quality of the instruments....

Now starting the countdown to when they will clearance GH5 and DJ Hero bundles....by guess is 1-2 months....

Picked up Personal Trainer: Walking from the West Madison, Target for $12.48. My wife has been wanting a pedometer for work, so I figured this would be as good as any other solution.

Why can't SingStar Queen drop in price from $19.98. It's been that price for 5 or 6 weeks now. Sigh...

Stopped by the Strongsville, OH Target earlier today. I picked up the last :360: Beatles RB set for $62. as well as the :360: Band Hero set for $49.98. They still had an extra :360: Band Hero set next to the :360: case.
Wood Dale, IL Target (15 minutes west of O'hare down Irving Park Rd) had like five more Beatles Rock Band sets at $62.48 left after I grabbed mine today (along with some Peptobismol, food poisoning ugh). Didn't think it'd drop any lower or there'd be any left next time round so just went for it.
That was my favorite hidden gem Target for the longest time. Have they gotten better with clearance? I recall they used to have it on an endcap by the TV's but they moved it and it never seemed to get restocked that often.

NEED Valuable Opinion on this...

Sims 3 Collector's Edition Holiday Edition $39.99/$49.99

Is it going to be HARD TO find once Target sells out of these?

Picked up the last Beatles Rock Band Special Edition for $62 in Castleton, IN. Surprised it was still there. Someone had turned the box around to hide the price though, perhaps an employee that wanted to buy it after work. Might have to stop by a couple other stores to find one for my buddy.

Saw several copies of Resident Evil 5 for 360 at $10 each. Everything else was junk though. Might grab a wireless PS2 guitar for my Dad if they hit 75% off. Only 30% ATM.

Lucky find man! Here on the South side of Indy the Targets never have any good clearance items. Usually a bunch of a terrible Wii and DS games.

GOD How DAMN luck some of you get Band Hero for $50 or Less. LORD that's crazy!!! Man, the game itself is that much you basically got ALL these Hardwares for FREE!!!

I have a strong desire to beat up all those that passed this at $99 price which I thought would certainly be the FINAL price point to get SOLD OUT!!

Is this like the Luckiest Video Game clearance deal or WHAT! I think so!!!!! You really CAN'T get luckier than this!!!

And this dude even got it for $25, I am SPEECHLESS!!!!!

Holy crappedmypants batman!!!

Imagine if someone reported MW2 HE for $7.48!!!!!!!!

I think he'd have a HEART ATTACK!!!!
are you gonna buy some barbie game if it's $3.75??
If it's an older one, most definitely. Have you seen how much they go for on eBay and Amazon? $135 for Barbie on the original XBox new.. crazy

But how can you compare something that's $150 difference to MUCH less than $100 difference?

Getting MW2 HE for $7 is nice, but the Band Hero is $150 OFF man!!!

Got the last :360: Beatles Rock Band kit for $62.98 last night in American Fork, UT. I there the day before and they had several PS3 and 360 kits, but they were all still only 30% off. Rare lucky score for me. After selling the game that came with it (I already own it) and some of my old GH equipment, I'll probably make money on the deal.

Well, I suppose Economy is that bad, that people wouldn't even buy a 50% off $200 kit, man.

But, I myself never SEEN a lucky deal THAT GOOD myself here where I live :(

well, it shouldnt cost that much for plastic toy instruments to begin with, really.

Pretty much struck out today at Target except "I seen" Need for Speed Nitro at 9.98 which nobody is buying so I bet you it will hit $4.98 soon, whence I will be boughten it.

I still feel ripped off getting :ps3:MW2 HE for 19.98. And I payed all of it with giftcards that I had collected from regular target shopping. :D
You should see if they have any keyboards on clearance. The exclamation point key is stuck on yours.
Well played sir.

Not really. They're remodeling the store right now and I hate the new games section. All the clearance games are kept with the regular games so everyone in that area sees them, not just us Cheap Asses looking for deals in the clearance end cap. =(

So I got both a Band Hero and a Rockband, but don't need both. Trying to decide which to keep. I got lucky on RB as they looked it up and told me what stores to drive too. Wife wasn't happy as I didn't tell her I was looking and didn't have a phone to call and say I was going to be late. Nothing like worrying a wife and then telling them you spent money.
