Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Has anyone seen a Band Hero complete band set that is still FULL price?

PS3 or 360?
I've seen the PS3 Band Hero at full price. I can't remember if it was the same store or the next one I went to that had a 360 version for $50.
GOD How DAMN luck some of you get Band Hero for $50 or Less. LORD that's crazy!!! Man, the game itself is that much you basically got ALL these Hardwares for FREE!!!
NOTHING beats the deal many of us got last year on Rock Band 1... which is that we got the entire box set (game, drums, guitar, mic, etc.) all for $34.98 !!! Best of all, it's forward compatible with most guitar hero/ rock band games.
Actually, the KMart clearance beat that deal last year. It was $14.99 for the same bundle.
Target clearanced it out much earlier in the year though. Roughly around this time actually.

Opened up my Beatles RB bundle earlier and the guitar is DOA. Sucks to have to deal with EA to get a replacement .

On the non gaming side of things I picked up a 3 pack of Hanes boxers for $2.01 at the Culver City Target by Pet Smart.

I heard from a buddy that works at Target that May 7th they are going to discontinue Nintendo Wii and it will have a 25% off discount relatively soon. This is just a rumor at this point but just... keep your eyes open if you are looking for one.

Usually when they stop selling something it goes on clearance and I can never recall anything being on clearance for 25% off (usually things start at 15% and 30% off except for seasonal)

I don't want to be mean, but your buddy must be smoking some heavy stuff, and to think Target is a drug free place:shame:. Anyway first there is no 25% discount at Target(as the guy above me mentioned). There is a 15%, 30%, 50% & 75%. In addition there is a 60% & 85% for certain clothing stuff and 90% for seasonal items.

2nd the Wii is the best seller in the Electronics. It's been selling like hot cakes and sometimes is hard to find so I don't see a reason to discontinue it.

Really? Because the facts are people STILL can't get their hands on Wii's fast enough and they're still in-and-out of stock frequently because Nintendo's production numbers have spiked an increase in demand. Discontinuing the Wii would be idiotic, plain and simple.

I hit about 8 Targets here, looking for a freakin' :ps3: Beatles RB for $62, with zero luck. Turns out the closest store that has one in stock is 180 miles away. :fridge:

But almost every store had Band Hero for full price, both :ps3: and :360:. Only one store had one on clearance. It was $50 for the :360:.

Thanks for pointing out that it's "just a rumor at this point."

Same here in Houston, TX, but i think it was $179 for band hero

I hope my local Targets start running clearance on :ps3: Band Hero because all of them have at least a few. Beatles Rock Band has been great so far but an extra guitar and copy of Band Hero would be great at $50 or less.

You win. I had no idea that KMart clearanced it out!

Why May 7th? Also, how would your buddy even know this if he wasn't an executive. From one troll to another, I think every gamer in this world would like to see Nintendo Wii banished from Target, but it ain't gonna happen. Hell the 360 sells more software and only gets one little case at most targets I go to while wii gets like 6 cases. Anyway, nice trolling.

I'm actually grateful for the large amount of shelf space the Wii takes up. Smaller 360 case = less room for 360 games = more frequent 360 clearance.

At least you admit you are a troll.
Nintendogs Chihuahua and friends $7.48
Man those Nintendogs games are old compared to other typical clearance games.

I was surprised to see them.

Actually, at several of the Targets I visit, they just got a new batch of them in before the holidays after not having them in stock for quite a while.

Scored a Beatles Rock Band LE (360) for $62. Was thinking about it when some dude walked by and started looking at it, his girl was telling him to buy it, he passed for some inexplicable reason. I would've liked to see his face if he changed his mind and went back and it wasn't there. Thanks for the heads up everyone.

BTW it was the last one.

Hah. That dude isn't getting any this week.

Btw, I was surprised to see Nintendogs because those games are evergreen. Every little girl who gets a new DS/i wants nintendogs.

Clearances are good.

I personally don't like the Wii, but I highly approve of that statement.

I have one last Target here in H-Town to try to snag a Beatles: RB set. If I head out there tonight, I'll let you all know if I find anything.

One of the Targets here has the Beatles RB for the 360 marked at $62.xx. Alas, I don't have a 360, and I don't anyone around here who does. Also, found out GS doesn't take peripherals like the guitars and drums, so no chance of flipping it, either.

Yea, I bought one for 62.xx. Didn't really need it, but I guess the deal was too good to pass up.
Just got back from Target and they had Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the 360 at $20.
I would have bought every single copy they had...

Man, you guys are lucky.

That's just crazy. They are probably still selling plenty of copies of this game too.

Might go to Target and see if they have any MW2: HE for that price, if so i'll pick it up to get COD Classic and trade in my original back to Gamestop to get Heavy Rain or maybe FFXIII
