The 2013/2014 NBA Thread (LBJ is a Cav)

The Irony of Scola even opening his mouth regarding anything when hes been missing for how many games now. Didn't bother watching but am i reading this right Hibbert pulled another donut? lmao
I don't know about Scola before...but he's been playing damn good. They should have kept him on the floor for as long as possible in game 4.

And to think Blazers almost made a bid for Hibbert.  When Kendrick Perkins is looking more useful than you than something is wrong.

Duncans nemesis will be on the court tonight.

Reggie Jackson just might be out for the rest of the playoffs... Oh wait, maybe not.

Rule 264: You must not defend Kevin Durant. He must shoot without anyone trying to defend, if not, the player defending will be called for a foul.

IMO, Diaw needs to play fewer minutes when he's not hitting the 3. He's not very valuable when he's not knocking shots down and he's not in this series.. He's not in top shape and doesn't have the best low post moves. Decent defender and great passer for a big guy so I'm not saying to keep him out but certainly fewer minutes. Give the Red Rocket some minutes see if his shooting can stretch the floor, but then you'd be putting a defensive liability out there which is probably why we haven't seen him much.

Pop going deep into the bench. Commentary is sucking something fierce, almost mute worthy with Reggie constantly slurping off Ibaka

Diaw doing whatever he wants now lmao wtf. Owning Ibaka on postups, slashing  to the basket, draining 3's.

Wow Westbrook attempting a post up was the most horrible cringe worthy thing Ive seen tonight.

Ibaka just got posterized by Cory Joseph who probably just earned more playing time.

Insane. An absolute game (and series) changer in Ibaka. A guy who is altering every shot Duncan and Splitter are taking. He gets absolutely destroyed by a third string PG lol moment of Joseph's life.

Wtf is Okc doing? Even if you win this game this not the way you want to go out. Imagine if Spurs get a stop and drain a 3? its now single digits with over 2 mins to go.

Cory  Joseph definitely needs more playing time. Spurs 2-3 stringers outplayed both the Spurs and Okc starters on occasion, how does that happen.

Not gonna lie, Westbrook played great tonight.

The Spurs bench played better than the starting lineup tonight. Some of those guys need more play time. Spurs seemed tired.

Let's see what happens on game 5...

Russell Westbrook is only the second player in NBA playoff history to have a 40 pt, 10 ast, 5 stl night.

The other guy? Michael Jordan.

Ron Harper doesn't get The Onion:

Original Onion article in spoiler:

WAYNE, NJ—Having insisted on the falsehood for the better part of two decades, sources confirmed Thursday that retired NBA player Ron Harper won’t stop telling people that he was on the national men’s basketball “Dream Team” that brought home the gold medal for the U.S. in 1992. “Man, we’ll never again have a group of superstars like we did in ’92; I’m just proud to have been a part of it,” the journeyman shooting guard reportedly told his checkout clerk at a local Stop & Shop earlier this week, adding his oft-repeated claim that “being selected as a starter for that squad was the biggest honor of [his] life.” “That team was something else: Magic, Jordan, Bird, Barkley, and me, manning the perimeter. We were unstoppable. Granted, what we accomplished in ’96 was pretty great too, but nothing can ever come close to that summer in Barcelona.” According to sources, the former athlete was later heard regaling a toll booth operator about his legendary “flu game” during the 1997 NBA Finals, in which a severely ill Harper improbably managed to score 38 points en route to a Chicago Bulls victory.

Not surprising, he's 50 years old and probably hasn't spent much time on the internet.

Hibbert is so clumsy and flat footed, if Pacers even had a sniff of 09-10 Bynum this series is over.

Pacers are pathetic. James clearly doesn't even care about this game since his teammates are owning the pacers by themselves. James picking up unnecessary fouls on plays where he could have just let the play go and they're still winning.

I bet Paul George isn't going to have problems with the refs letting him elbow Chalmers in the face.

Considering Stephenson got hit in the throat the play before by Chalmers im glad they let that go.

Paul George playing like he no longer wants to rely on Hibbert. How many times is this guy gonna watch Bosh drain a open jumper and not even attempt to contest.

Yeah. George is going to have to do it on his own if Indiana is going to win. Stevenson's flop against James was hilarious though.

Idk why Stephenson thinks he has Miamis flopping powers. He never gets the call so why bother. All he does is earn a easy 5k fine.

At least his are fun to watch though and he never complains when he doesn't get the call. Just figures ... What the hell it only 5k for a chance to get Lebron out of the game.

lol Lebron attempting another swing through and threw up an airball. Lebron playing like he just wants this game to be in Miami so they can blow out the pacers and be done with it.

Definitely need to find a way to get rid of George Hill and Hibbert if its even possible this off season.

Battier with the most obvious foul in front of the official before the ball was even inbounded

The Thunder offensively are doing enough to win but damn when everybody on the Spurs are hitting shots, I don't think the All-Star team could slow them down.
