Kso, fuck you all. The new RoboCop is amazing and there is 3 different versions of the suit if ya'll watch the trailer, including the classic silver one.

I wanna know how you even get Saints Row 2 to run over 25fps
WTF, is this RoboBarbie now? Look he comes with three outfits and seven fun accessories. When he's not busy fighting crime he like going to the beach in his convertible with his friends [car and friends sold separately].

SR2 varies a lot in framerate depending on where you are, in a way that doesn't technically make any sense. The prison hospital is one of the worst places. The best single gain for framerate is turning off global illumination but I don't care for it off. That said my GTX 260 kept it mostly above 30 FPS.

These costumes are shitty. The visor is way too stupid-looking to make the rest of the suit look good, and only the black one pulls that off. He's a cyborg cop. He doesn't need muscles or heavy metal armor with exposed stomach. If you can infuse a man with a machine successfully, you can make a thin, ultra-durable armor. The first movies were campy and not very good, granted; but I expect an entire redesign with this reboot, not some stupid Snake Eyes knock-off and two Bollywood Power Ranger suits.

They completely remade Total Recall, and it was good. Then they completely remade Dredd, and it was shit. This RoboCop remake is going the path of Dredd.

A new Robocop movie can't be any worse than Robocop 2, Robocop 3, or the Robocop TV series.  Some franchises deserve a reboot.

Unrelated:  Anyone know much about the physics/handling of this NASCAR game?  Kinda getting an itch to turn left for a few hours.

If it's anything like the 2011 version, I'd suggest turning all of the assists off. They impede the ability to go fast and you want to go fast, right? Seriously though, any racing game that is even close to a sim, should not even ship with assists IMO. It does take getting used to if you're used to arcade racers, but the assists are nothing but crutches that make your car "easier to control" (aka. slow you down). I still wouldn't call the physics in this game accurate as in the drafting feels a bit over done and some of the collision detection is wonky, but overall I had fun (again with the 2011 version). A bit a background on me though, I'll spend 85% of my time in game tuning and testing and only 5% racing, the other 10% is spent in the paint booth.

If you're looking for a deal on Saints Row IV, it's now part of the gold tier in the AMD Never Settle Forever promo.
They've left a bad impression. First they say Bioshaq infinite is free, then i don't get it because of lack of keys. now I'm still waiting. It's been 3 weeks. They need to step up with their key delivery, especially when I ordered it before the Forever promo.

I'm in such a mood to play a good platformer. If I hadn't blown a bunch of money on the Amazon/GMG sales the past week and half I'd pick up Origins and Legends right now.

dude, it's sooooo goooood. i got it for cheap from jakenome. it's up there with my favorite platformers of all time. origins is great too but legends is way more challenging and has lots of the levels from origins anyway. the music levels are ( . )( . )

the mexican themed eye of the tiger level is worth the price of admission alone

Ahhhhhhhh man this is tempting me. Legends is 40, origins is 20....mehhhh I guess I'll wait. Maybe they'll have some killer package deal on them around black friday or Christmas. I have Mario Galaxy 2 just sitting here, I've been saving it for a good time. That should fill my platforming void for the time being.

i got the preorder for myself and a friend because I retardedly thought that Legends had online multiplayer. I could've sworn I saw it tagged with "multiplayer" on its steam page. It was pretty stupid. We both fired up the game while on Skype and played through the first level solo, waiting for the point where we could invite another player. Then I remembered seeing that first level in a "lets-play" video. I remembered seeing that level being played multiplayer. So, I looked it up right then and there and realized I was an idiot. Local coop only...

But, I enjoyed that first level. So, I installed Rayman Origins and I'm having a great time with the game. The game literally makes me smile for probably 60% of the time that I'm playing it. Its so pretty and fun to play. I love the sound effects for random things like discovered a secret area ("oooooh"). Watching that syringe fill up with happy faces or wtvr at the end of each stage makes me so happy. The music is fantastic too. I've only played the first world so far. But I even replayed levels.

Worth the money.

Yeah I must have watched that five times in a row on YouTube. The timing of the music and the action is inspiring.

This is why I want it...I've played a string of Rpg's and shooters, could really go for some game like this/Mario or something along those lines for the next game I play.

I agree with all the praise for Rayman Legends.  I'm about 3/4 through the main game, and I'm completely having a blast.  I completed all of Rayman Origins last year on PS3, but for some reason I'm digging the creativity and variety of Legends quite a bit more.  There were certainly some standout levels in Origins, but it became a bit samey for me half way.  I feel like Legends continues introducing new quirks here and there, I love the Invasion levels, and unlike many, I even like the Murfy levels.  I also love how each world ramps up its difficulty, eventually culminating with a chase level and then a "boss" level... before rewarding you with some of the most joyful gameplay I've experienced in its musical levels.  So great :)

BTW Jake, you may want to just play through Rayman Legends.  You earn Origin levels as bonuses, and the teensies you gain in those levels help to unlock other things in the game.

Tried Sniper Elite Nazi Zombies.

Good god is that game awesome. It's like a more tactical version of Left 4 Dead. Since your in Europe during WW II you don't get all the flashy scenery and things of L4D but it's still fun as hell. Especially when they show your bullet going through the enemies private area, lol.

Rayman Legends is pretty much my #1 most wanted game right now. If I wasn't still making my way through Origins I would have been hard pressed to resist buying it even at full price. Like Jake I just can't stop smiling while playing Origins, and everything I've seen and played of Legends is even better (which I wasn't sure was possible considering Origins is probably my favorite platformer of the past decade). I can't recommend enough that everyone pick it up. I don't say it often, but I think Origins is a game that will appeal to just about everyone (maybe even Mooby). My thoughts [customspoiler="in a nutshell"]

Why the heck you didn't bought it when the pre-order was region free on Russia? it was only around $14 in there and it included Origins. I got mine from a Russian trader and a few other CAGs did it as well.

Haha, that was great! I probably enjoyed watching that more than I would have playing it, with my reflexes I probably would have died a bunch of times and ruined the song.

i've played 4 music levels so far and they've all been that good

thank god the wii u flopped and this didn't stay an exclusive

Lack of funds and having not even started Origins at that point. I was seriously considering getting it from Nome, but by that time it was already to late. Live and learn, I'm sure it will go on sale eventually...I can wait...*checks watch*...

Nope.

You'd missing probably some of the 9 DLC's, since I think DAO base game only (new copies) came w/ actually 3 of them, IIRC. That might've just been a promo-thing.

And, I'm not even sure if the DLC codes from DAO base game anymore have expiration dates (if you buy the game new) and if DAO base game comes w/ those 3 DLC's in the box anymore.

DAO: Ultimate Edition = DAO base game + Awakening expansion + ALL of the 9 DLC's.

If you got Dragon Age Origins and then the Awakenings expansion separately you have the bulk of the actual content but you are missing the smaller DLC. Some people may disagree but most of it is pretty meh in my opinion. They're all really short and tend to reuse the same areas that the base game and/or Awakenings used. Some of them like the Feastday Gifts DLC are even kind of cheats.

I admit the storage in the Warden's Keep DLC is pretty handy, but overall if you have the base and then expansion I don't think it's worth buying the DLC separately or rebuying the Ultimate Edition personally.

The only important story DLC is The Stone Prisoner, but that's really a day 1 surgically removed from the base game DLC and all (first hand) owners of the original game can get it for free if they register the game with Bioware, or I guess EA now. As long as you didn't buy the game used you should be able to get it.

A list of the DLC is here: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Downloadable_content_(Origins)

*Edit: All that promotional item DLC EA gave away for free a while back and I think you can still probably get it? you can apparently still get them here. Those items are pretty overpowered and kind of cheats almost though. I personally wouldn't mess with them. *shrug*
Hmm i would be missing most of the DLC i think if i just used awakening. It seems it just has the awakening expansion and not any of the others ones like wardens keep, witch hunt, darkspawn chronicles, ect.

I actually already started playing vanilla DAO. If I was to use the Ultimate edition disk; would that let me keep playing my current game? Are they transferable? Or would i have to install the UE version and the save not be usable/i would have to start all over? I know a lot of PS3 games have problems with GOTY editions. I really dont want to start over. I ask because when i was getting extra copies of DAO from gamestop to try for a complete version they put he ultimate edition in one of the cases =P so i got a copy of Ultimate edition for like 3 bucks!

Blea maybe i should actually play the PC version since that should be complete but i already started up on the PS3 version. It sounds like i really want wardens keep at least for the storage. I also dont see suggested levels for doing the DLC. I know Stone prisoner could be done right at the start

Oh.. one more question. Does anything you do in DAO carry over to 2? Wondering if its important to keep a save file when i start 2 up.

I'd imagine the multiple suits is a bit of a copycatting of the new Ironman movies. That said, that black one looks pretty cool.

i take back all the bitching i did about rayman legends ITT

the game is fucking impeccable
I thought you said it didn't support high resolutions? What was up with that?

Amen! My only complaint is that back when I played, the x-ray cam frequency setting was broken. You can either turn it off completely, or (even on minimal) you'll get the x-ray cam EVERY time you take a shot from more than like 10 feet away. Gets extremely annoying in single player, but multiplayer is utterly awesome.

I'm fairly sure you'll be able to play your vanilla save if you upgrade to the Ultimate Edition. All it's adding is DLC. I haven't played DA2 though, so I can't answer you there.

I'm pretty much positive you can keep your vanilla save. A number of the dlc's aren't even accessible within game, and are their own playable games in the start menu. And then some intrude in your game, like one (don't remember which one) there's a guy w/a caravan, or something of that nature, who asks you for help w/a quest or something. I haven't played the game in awhile, so the details are a bit shoddy in my mind...but anyway, then there's a popup saying "to access this area you must have blah blah blah dlc." They wouldn't put that in there if you couldn't get into it w/out screwing up your save. As for your DA2 question, carrying over saves from DAO does impact DA2. There will be different codex entries, and a number of other things throughout the game. Nothing too major.

I've been so busy this is my first time checking the thread in a few days, did I miss a Rayman sale or is everyone just playing it out of backlog now.

I think everyone covered your other questions so I'll just add that based on what I've seen and read about console versions and my personal experience playing on PC, Dragon Age: Origins is a much more enjoyable experience on PC than on consoles. I'd play the PC version since you have both. Plus, despite what Motoki said, I found Leliana's Song, Warden's Keep and Witch Hunt to be great experiences. I never played Darkspawn Chronicles or Golems of Angarrak and Return to Ostagar was just too short.

So, I guess tomorrow is the tenth anniversary of Steam's founding. Anybody expecting anything special to commemorate it?

I hope they do something. I stayed up late that night just to get an account. I'm hoping for a 10-year vet coin in CS:GO at the very least, but I don't know that they did anything for their 5-year anniversary.

They'll be announcing that for the 10 year anniversary of Steam that they'll be hiring the developer of Enhanced Steam and implementing it's features on the storefront for everyone.

(A guy can dream, right?)

And this may be a little macabre, but is anyone else hoping for a daily on a flight simulator today?  :D/

no offense, but i'm not sure that would be in their best interest. if a game is on sale for 50% off and everyone can see it was 75% off a few months ago, it would hurt their sales.

True - it was kind of a joke actually. I'm pretty sure that features like that are the reason they HAVEN'T hired me.

Anyway, speaking of low prices, GMG has the "Lego Complete Pack" for $23.17 after coupon GMG20-8MUTY-M21VN.

Sadly, it's not complete it just has the WB published Lego games. No Lego Star Wars, no Lego Indiana Jones.

These Lego games are too expensive if you ask me.  I played the first Star Wars one on Xbox way back in the day and loved it for what it was at the time (which was a prequel trilogy that was better than the actual movies and fun to play), but it wasn't exactly the deepest experience, and apparently if you've played one you've played them all.  I'm certainly not going to pay $7.50 a pop for them on sale (what they've generally been previously), or even 5ish in this pack.  What we need is a discount of Amazon Squeenix bundle proportions.  That'd get me to bite.

Then again, I imagine I'm not the target market, it being parents with young children who need the next installment in the series to keep them entertained.

Crappy daily deal for Burnout Paradise. You can probably easily find a Humble Bundle code floating around and get it for free.

I am selling family share shares of my Steam account at a valuation of $50 per share.  1 share = 1 minute of access per week.

Get them while they are hot folks, I was told that my Steam account is the next Facebook.
