I've had 3 headsets before these and I'll never go back to anything else. They're 7.1 surround sound and gaming audio sounds really good with these puppies, you really get a cinematic experience.

Damn, it looks like the update to make Civ Rev compatible deleted my data. Not my saves, those were intact but my data that tracked with what civs I'd won and what great leaders I had acquired over many games. That screws me on two achievements I was close to get. One for beating the game with all civs and getting all the great leaders.

I forget the series name but I got the $100 turtle beach headset when the X1 first came out. They're okay, but nothing great. I have a cheaper 360 TB headset that's not as good. Heard they can be hit or miss.

I've heard Astro has some really good headsets and if I used a headset more often I'd probably upgrade to one of theirs.

Is that Avatar game fun? I've got a sealed Target clearance copy that I bought four or five years ago in my backlog. I was going to play it after seeing the movie, but I still haven't seen it.
 
Finished Titanfall 2 last night.

What an amazing campaign! You know a story experience is well crafted when they can make you emotionally attached to your titan without you realizing it. It's also one of the only games that made me really feel like a badass. The only time I actually lost interest was during the boss titan fights but I think that's because I kinda suck in the titan. Otherwise, it's a phenomenal game all around. It's insane that it has dropped to $20 several times (which is the price I picked it up at). If it's that cheap at the spring sale and some of you have hesitated to buy it, pick it up!

Best FPS I've played in years and years.
 
I wonder if LEGO Worlds will be on sale during the Spring Sale since the disc version keeps getting sale prices. Currently $15.99 at Best Buy with GCU.

This happened to me so many times over the years lol.

If you want to win games fast, go to single player --> Scenario --> Lightning Round on Chieftan difficulty.

Your objective in this mode is just to reach the modern age and you start off with 3 towns. You can either build libraries in each town or build settlers to make a new city.

You want to prioritize researching Monarchy and Invention to get a great person (use their one time ability instead of settling them in a city). Then you want Navigation or Steam Power to go find Atlantis, which gives you 3 techs at once.Since it's on easy, you don't have to worry about the AI, they won't be able to keep up. Games should only take about 10 minutes each.

This Dead Rising 4 DLC sucks. It's just running around grabbing collectibles and using the same 3 abilities over and over. No weapon crafting, no vehicles, etc. Why did they even bother with this shit?

No shit, but that was almost the XBox One after they announced that at E3 until a few hours later Sony did their press conference and announced how they won't be going that route. It wasn't until over a month later after everyone clowning on them when Microsoft decided to switch their stance, but by then the damage was done. Hell, just last year I overheard some people debating an XBox One, but thought you couldn't play used games on it.

 
And what makes it even worse is you have to play through it 3 times if you want to stand a chance at beating it on Blackest Friday and get the best ending. You need all the collectibles to get better skills and you need to complete all the challenges to enhance your abilities to get the best ending. It's not really that long and its fairly easy, but still, having to go through this painfully average DLC more than once kinda sucks.

Which is astounding esp when Sony just came out and was like oh you can do all the stuff you can do normally, we're not changing anything and people lost their fucking minds. Playing older games on our newer hardware, yeah we'll repackage that and ask for money. Gamers, ok.

I Don't think we would've gotten backwards compatibility on the One had Microsoft not had such a messy launch, that's for sure. As for the Scorpio? I Personally think we would've gotten to where we are now regardless since when the One and PS4 specs were officially revealed, it seemed majority of comments were basically "is that it?" Though I still think other factors went against Microsoft regardless of the always online and non used game scenario that would've made it had a messy launch regardless. The mandatory Kinect 2.0 and $100 more than the PS4 means they would've been playing catch up regardless and so I don't see their blunders as blessings so much as they kinda screwed themselves from the out set no matter what.

Also side note: this generation I have bought the least amount of used games ever. I Have like two used games on my One and the rest have all been overwhelmingly digital or new physical.

Same, I've waited until BF to pick up almost everything and then those digital deals where it's too good to pass up. Although I also have to credit less used game purchases for me personally due to my lofty last generation game collection - where a bunch of them were picked up from Gamefly purchased used.

I have that get the free Mass Effect Andromeda Avatar ad, which yeah I already got. Lol, I don't mind targeted ads but half the time it's for things I already bought - in this case picked up.

I think most of us ME fans liked that majority of ME3, especially certain stuff like the Thessia and Tuchunka missions. It's a pretty solid game with a few issues, though I agree with the sentiment that ME2 is the stronger overall game, especially with DLC factored in.

It had two big marks against it though. No spoilers here. The first was the fact that Javik, the Prothean party member was DAY ONE $10 DLC, which was clearly cut out of the full game as he was integral to the plot in the original script that leaked with the beta, and a lot of his data was actually on the disc.

The second was the ending. I won't go into it but it was so bad that it soured the series and Bioware for many people. This was compounded by some statements made before release, and the fact the there was basically one ending with three different colored explosions.

I can't remember the source of the original quote, Game Informer or something, but this was a statement made by the director in one of the preview articles not too long before release. The sentiments in the bottom half we're pretty accurate for a lot of the fanbase, not everybody but I think the majority. It was the sentiment on Bioware's forums at the very least, and the ME3 shitstorm was probably the biggest factor that lead to their closure and the fact that now all issues are being handled by through that dumb EA Help site instead of interacting with the devs directly like most other studios.

Now you'll be able to experience the extended ending for your first playthrough, which is slightly less bad, but still bad.

I felt betrayed with Fable III and it's one of the reasons why I think Fable II is the peak of the series. I feel the same way about Mass Effect. I didn't have a problem with the end,

and some endings negated what you did previously in the game
so like every good space cowboy I saved the Geth & the Quarians initially
. I think there was some reason for some debate but like everything that hits the internet it really got blown out of proportion and yeah unfortunately soured the series. I hate when people are like oh it's fine, just play the Citadel DLC and accept that as your ending. What?

I think the fact that it was so powerful a trilogy made it really hard to have a hard sell for a finite conclusion. Still a very good game though.
