Yes, its a trial. I think its nice for people who are on the fence, maybe they'll like it and end up purchasing it.is it? Oh that seems kinda lame.

It's already been stated a bunch in this thread that that doesn't matter.Goddamn it. I was opted in for emails from MS, but my old, non-existent email address was still linked. I guess I'm screwed on any bonuses...
Really? MajorNelson's blog says that the bonus stuff will be emailed. It's already been stated a bunch in this thread that that doesn't matter.
I'm just relaying what was posted. But maybe.Really? MajorNelson's blog says that the bonus stuff will be emailed.
Yes, it's definitely out. I dled it, and I see a few people on my friends list have achievements unlocked from it.Looks like Limbo is out now. Just got my code and redeemed it. Haven't played it yet but it does open.
I believe the TV Tuner is an add on accessory in some markets that allows the Xbox to get local channels. It isn't the same thing as running your tv through the HDMI in. Hope that helps answer your question.Anyone figure out how to do this yet?![]()
Pffff... wow. That was almost like Onion level parody. Gamespot, I used to be a member and visit there frequently, seemed like they were with everyone about how Microsoft messed up and "oh it's better now but remember what they did when they released it", right right guys, high fives co-workers. Also that one guy wants another price cut, lol. Half that shit they talked about was addressed with the system updates so yeah I was scratching my head while watching that too. This GameSpot video is hilarious. I cant believe some of these guys have jobs in the industry.
Well sometimes you only get 1 chance to make a first impression, however from a gaming magazine I can agree this is quite unacceptable.^ I dont mind people having an opinion and if you like to play on a ps4 or pc more thats fine. But its as if these guys havent touched an X1 since launch and are just talking out their ass. The Lucy James settings comment gives her away easy. Gamespot took a huge dive for me with this video.
Good point, the video should have been properly titled "why we won't be getting an Xbox One anytime soon." (except for the best looking person in this video who gets ridiculed for owning and liking it)It wasn't, but it was more so why I don't like the Xbox One instead of why you should get one.
Only thing I can agree with somewhat is the UI. I have no problems navigating now, but it had a learning curve to it and in some ways is inferior to the latest 360 dashboard. The original blades system from the 360 launch was in no way perfect either.
Oh, I dont even remember what it was before tbh. I used it last night because I used a code that they sent me for sunset overdrive items and i redeemed it on the site and then had no idea at all how to download them to the system I was looking for something like the PSN store that shows everything ive gotten and then to download itThey updated the store layout.
it's much improved from what it once was.
Good read, seemed fair and accurate, nice work. Here's my Xbox One "Year One" review. Covers the progress made and a lot of issues that still need to be cleared up in the years ahead. Please check it out and see whether you agree.
A lot more informative and with that unbiased journalist integrity, go figure, compared to GS's video. Here's my Xbox One "Year One" review. Covers the progress made and a lot of issues that still need to be cleared up in the years ahead. Please check it out and see whether you agree.
I dont think so. These "gaming journalists" bashed the console without even owning one or spending enough time with it. They shoudn't be allowed to spread misinformation like that. I dont know if you watched the ps4 one yet but these guys seem very biased to me after watching both.People really seem to be overreacting to the gamespot thing imo.
For me, the UI bashing is the worst. Its clear that many of them havent spent time with the console so they shouldn't have a say in the matter. Its not perfect but its far from "atrocious" once you get a feel for everything. It just seems like a paid advertisement from Sony honestly. The lady going on at the end about people making fun of her for liking it, really? Was that necessary? So help me out here. What exactly are people upset with? Not saying that to be a smart ass but generally want to know what people are taking offense to.
Watch both videos, there's a polarizing tone with each. Dude its like parody level.Guess ill just agree to disagree then. I don't think its as bad as some are making it out to be. Either way, its just an opinion.
Agreed. Im done talking about that video.Agree to disagree. You won't change my mind and I wont change any of yours. It is what it is.
With the scale of Azure I don't think there are a lot of issues in the way of traffic. I believe Deader is probably right. Because the console is trying to install and download at the same time the entire process is going to take longer. There is a huge difference between downloading a game and downloading a patch. The patches install after the download completes, while games install at the same time.Keep in mind the biggest thing in the download department is the amount of traffic with the Xbox One's servers. It'll be really bad the first few days of release, this'll improve over time. We can see that with the inclusion of pre-loading games arriving on the system now.
Don't own a XBone, have not seen the PS4 video. but why is the last person to speak in the video the only hot chick and one that owns an XBone.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYenXFLkKRo&channel=gamespot

You never get full speed when downloading on game systems. Steam is same way for me.The downloading and installing on xbox is a wide problem and is a good point. Has nothing to do with shit internet. I can download a few gigs in a few minutes on my pc buy it took me 4+ hours to download and install sunset overdrive and even longer for halo.
I assume because it tries to download and install at the same time but its still crazy. I know a lot of people in this very thread said the same things.
I always get full speed on my wired xbox one connection. I have 16mbps, so I always get 1.7 down. I've seen a few people complain about the wi-fi speeds but I only use wired so I wouldn't know. You never get full speed when downloading on game systems. Steam is same way for me.
