CAGiversary!
There's no way to be sure if it will be his thing until he goes to a show and sees for himself. In addition, The Briscoes and Kevin Steen and El Generico have been putting on amazing matches all year long and this ladder match is looking to be truly amazing. If the guy does go, I would suggest that's the only match he should be looking forward to. It's been a mix of Puro/American Brawling style. I would expect at least one spot that would make me grab my head and say, "I can't believe I just saw that." More likely, there will be several that will make me react like that.
I agree though about the "elist" comment. Other than the main event, I wasn't a complete fan of this last NYC show. When I mentioned this at the ROH board, I was shit on from all angles. Whatever though. It comes with the territory. They're getting new fans though who can't be classified as hardcore fans. Since they went on PPV, they're starting to get kids into seats during the shows and getting casual fans. I expect this trend to continue.
Fifth Year Festival - New York City

It's a solid show from last February from which a number of people are still on the roster. It has Takeshi Morishima's first ROH match, the current ROH world champion. It's a good introductory show.
Another couple I would suggest is Fifth Year Festival - Finale and Respect is Earned.

Both have good cards and will suffice for introducing you to the roster.
Alright, thanks for the pointers, I MIGHT go to the show you pmed me about. I've kinda grown fond of Delirious, because he's so damned crazy
