John Cena's wrestling topic

Oh and just so we know who to point the finger at:

We previously posted that Vince McMahon is the one who approved the current incest storyline on RAW with Paul Burchill and Katie Lea. But who came up with the controversial gimmick? Word is Katie and Paul came up with the idea themselves and then pitched it to the WWE creative team.

XPW's getting a reunion show in May, with an eventual DVD release. Fortunately, Rob Black isn't involved, and the roster they've got so far should at least be good for a couple of good matches and um..."classic" XPW spot recreation moments, which were usually just old ECW angles re-shot for XPW with either some of the same cast or different people playing the same part.

I hope the building they use for it looks better than this XPW venue -

...and an XPW ECW recreation spot, in the "XPW" Arena (the famed ECW arena, complete with barb-wire logo, which was one of the things that led ECW to file a lawsuit against XPW claiming they caused confusion in the marketplace)

Mike Johnson reports that Abyss will be off of TV for a while to play up the current storyline that he may be done.

He is then scheduled to return in a few months unmasked and will most likely wrestle under his real name.

Damn it - the Abyss gimmick covered up his flabby body, ugly face, and gave him a gimmick that worked for him - now he's just be Chris Parks - scarred up fat man with a convoluted past. Hopefully the Impact Zone fans still chant the Abyss Song.

 leave it to TNA to do away with their one semi-original/semi-successful character. Although you could argue he was pretty much a rip-off of Kane. Still Kane isn't using the gimmick anymore, so it worked IMO. The sooner that company folds the better. I'd imagine if there's any truth to this Hogan/Bischoff fed, TNA probably won't be in business much longer.

That sucks, Abyss was pretty awesome before he started doing barbed wire/tacks spots on a weekly basis. He had some awesome matches against Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles back in... 2003-04ish?
I hate it when masked wrestlers unmask.
Actually that was about 2/3 of why I hated WCW, the Luchas all kept unmasking.

We need more masked wrestlers. Less in the style of monsters, more in the style of Mr. Wrestling/Mr. Wrestling II.

Yes we do need more masked wrestlers! I love the mystery behind them.

Haha, God I loved Mr. America. How did they end that whole storyline? I can't remember for the life of me.

Hogan left WWE abruptly for some reason or another (pretty sure it was money related) so to write him off, they showed footage of him unmasking after they went off the air and Vince fired him since the storyline was that Vince could fire Hogan if Mr. America was revealed to be Hogan or something like that
Haha, God I loved Mr. America. How did they end that whole storyline? I can't remember for the life of me.
Hogan lifted his mask after Smackdown finished taping and went "shhhhh!" to the crowd. However the tapes were actually still running and so Vince fired Mr. America/Hogan because Vince found out it was Hogan.

I still don't believe its Hogan under the mask!

My favorite segment of all time has to be when Hogan was sitting and lacing his boots then Mr America's pants walked by and they shook hands. Hogan was so happy to meet him. Brother.

WASUPWIDAT?!

Uggh. Mr. America. That's when WWE was just fuckin terrible. I mean it's not perfect now, but back then it was hard to watch.

I love when Chuck Palumbo "brings the crazy". So are we gonna see him run over that chick with his bike or what, cause I'm tired of being teased. The character is not going to end well so they might as well go all out with it.
I don't think that would make air hahaha. Perhaps a PPV?
Well Chuck Palumbo better bring the crazy. I don't even know what he's crazy over...but seeing that motorcycle and Chuck Palumbo together makes me giggle. Man does he get saddled with THE WORST gimmicks.

I actually like Crazy Chuck and Noble has done a great job getting the guy over. The guy who was almost gay wed to Billy Gunn doesn't seem so worthless anymore.

Yeah I really like the new Chuck gimmick too. It's actually a nice addition to the show. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes but knowing WWE he will be jobbing on ECW a month from now.

That HHH dance is awesome. I wish he would do that during his entrance just once. Like he could be all badass, spit his water, then get in the ring and do that dance and then put his "game" face on (pun intended)

You'd do the same thing after watching Nigel/Aries on the PPV. It's really fantastic.

Man I kinda fell behind in ROH. I gotta order or download some of the newer shows. Maybe show that match to Nash and see if he does that dance.

I remember when there was more comical things on WWE than just Santino, who I'm not 100% sure is supposed to be scripted as funny as he's mocking the great Stone Cold . The old Christian & Edge kazoo segments, pretty much anything with Kurt, Steve Austin before he started saying "what", The Rock, Mick, Mick getting tossed off cages... just so many funny and unintentionally funny and entertaining things.

TNA needs to reunite Booker T and whateverDust he is now.

They have a 25% off sale going on right now if you want to take advantage. All the DVDs are 15$.

Otherwise I'd suggest ordering the show. $10 as always. March 7th. It's gonna' rock! :)

Yes! Comcast is finally carrying RoH! It's $15 but still half the price of TNA and 62% cheaper than NWO. That's a no-brainer. I'm in.

Cena tore his up years ago and joined the Navy.

Nope. It's not live. But I was there live and am telling you from personal experience that Nigel/Aries was fantasic. I almost thought Nigel broke Aries neck towards the end. The way the match starts is just insane --- I'm not going to spoil it for you but I'll just say that it starts off with Nigel McGuinness getting a concussion, a broken nose, and his face being sliced open from the eye down to the bridge of the nose.

It was quite possibly the stiffest, most painful thing I've seen.

Because he's The Marine (copyrighted by WWE).

Haha, the Chuck and Billy wedding angle reminded me of the old Three Minute Warning thing Bischoff did, which lead me to realize that Umaga used to be Jamal.

And Jamal went apeshit and smashed a pot. Or was that someone else. Seems like something Randy Orton would do but there was a wife involved... Oh I'm thinking of Rhyno.

Well, off to the bar again tomorrow for another round of WWE ppvs.

Let's make some predictions:

1. Flair defeats Mr. Kennedy. C'mon now, he's not losing until WM at the earliest, right...?

2. Chavo over CM Punk, clean enough to end their rivalry. Punk is SD bound, Chavo is getting a shot at doing something. Both logical moves oddly enough.

3. Edge over Mysterio? Should be a quick one no matter what due to Rey's injury. Kane could step in I suppose, either way don't expect much here, such a pity.

4. Cena over Orton via DQ. Ya, that'd set up the Orton vs HHH vs Cena match nicely, or leave the title match open enough until WWE decides if Orton is going to join HHH & Cena or not. Triple threat is the safe way to go too, as I still don't believe Cena is 100%.

5. SD Elimination chamber:

I'll make a bold prediction and say Taker doesn't start the match. We're going to see at least one of the following here, that is going to be very awkward: Either stuffing Big Daddy V into a chamber, crushing Khali into one, or Big Daddy V vs Khali to open the match. Either way, hilarity should ensue. My money is on Finlay carrying Big Daddy V for 5 minutes, until Batista comes out and V is eliminated 1st. Then we'll see MVP enter followed by Khali. Finlay is next to go, and Taker is last to enter. I don't see Khali lasting too long in this match, so scratch him out next. MVP will likely get doubled teamed by Batista and Taker, leaving the two faces and only two logical choices to face Edge at WM. This should bring an end to the Taker/Batista rivalry, as I expect Batista to get moved to Raw after WM24.

Taker wins, as you all know.

6. Raw Elimination Chamber

Because HHH hates Jericho, I expect Jericho to start the match. Jeff Hardy seems a natural choice to pair him up with, that way when Jeff doesn't win, the announcers can blame it on fatigue. Umaga or JBL make the most sense as the next guy in, possibly the next two guys in, due to HHH's pull and HBK's back. Plus there'd be just too many faces in the ring otherwise. I see Umaga helping JBL take out Jericho first, setting up Jericho vs JBL at WM24. Then Umaga and JBL start working over Jeff, until HHH himself comes in to make the save. The H's takes out Umaga before HBK enters last. Would they really let Jeff take out JBL? It's possible I suppose, either way JBL is likely out next followed by Jeff Hardy, in all liklihood thanks to Shawn Michaels. That'd leave Michaels and HHH, a mark out moment and probably a solid 10 minutes or so of one-on-one action before the inevitable happens.

Is there really anyone other than HHH that has a shot at winning this match?

All in all this is a great card, but I fear it's too predictable as to what will happen leading into WM24. The only thing I'm unsure on is if Orton will be added to the HHH vs Cena main event.
It was quite possibly the stiffest, most painful thing I've seen.
Not up to speed on some of New Jack's finer work eh? I'll have to watch that though. Of course perhaps you mean without the use of props, weapons... scaffolds.

Errr... *waves hands in the air in weighing motion*

It was a different kind of stiffest, most painful thing. There is the falling slowly through the air thing and then there is the car crash thing.

This was the car crash thing.

It was akin to watching someone fly through the windshield from the inside of a car. Can you say something like the windshield is using a prop? I'm not sure. Keep in mind I said "flying" through the windshield. Not being thrown through it.

bars around here use to carry the ppvs but stopped. I remember few years ago they used to show them on the Movie screens. for like 7 per person.

flair vs big daddy v at wm. Big daddy off the top rope with a frog splash. hits flair so hard his head pops off sending into the 3rd row. A fan has a awsome take home prize LOL

im shocked edge is still wwe champ. It just show how little talent they have if they need to make this person a champ. Yea cheat cheat cheat thats a good model for children to look up to

Cena over Orton you know will be a DQ or a rematch at wm. Or they will do a screw job by putting the loser into this match against the winner of the chamber at RAW and that winner goes to wm.... Then again i could see Orton losing the title. Cena wins the title. Wm
cena vs HHH .... Cena wins after getting the crap beat out of him here comes orton demanding his title rematch , cena or whoever is the champ is KO, orton walks down and gets and Easy 3 count Senting up return matches all the way to SUMMERSLAM

Thats right i say the main event winner match will just be the same though all the PPVS up to summerslam that is how little talent WWE has

chamber 1...... I say look for a major upset. FINLAY WINS THE CHAMBER but Vince comes out and says will not get a title shot at WM.

OR WM MATCH FINLAY + vince son horn? VS BIG DADDY V and Khali in some sort of special match

If that is the case Batista wins and hopefully takes the title at WM OR TAKER wINS. Wins the title at WM and walks away (heard rumors TAKer is about to retire)

RAW CHAMBER i agree with Jericho vs JBL at wm cowbell match or some other special matc

HBK and HHH Turn on each other meaning the end for DX (before the come back together at Summerslam

that leaves Umaga and Jeff ... Love to see Umaga win but I say JEFF wins the chamber

BUT For some reason Jeff wont be in the main event at WM

JEFF VS UMAGA for his title

Orton comes out monday night challenges Jeff for the right to go to WM to fight cena . Jeff looses could very easy set up this story line

RUMOR. HEARD THAT WM 25 Next year PPV will be 80 bucks and almost 5 hours THAT IS NUTS

I must see this. Of course, you can't really classify anything New Jack did as "wrestling" despite it happening in what was supposed to be a wrestling match.

My main warning to keep your expectations in check of what you'll be able to see. I was 10 feet from where it happened so I got the full vantage point. I don't know where the other cameramen were and Nigel's back would have been to the hard cam. I just knew the second it happened Nigel had a concussion. Here are some images.
