I loved the Dreamcast controller...
But, as for better graphics, MOST recent games look better on the PS3...
LA Noire comes to mind...
lol @ Wii 480p. But, then again, graphics aren't everything.
i strongly disagree on LA Noire. a neighbor has it and we compared it ourselves (after reading/seeing the usual Ars Technica or gametrailers comparisons), and they were identical. the signs showed up a little quicker while driving in the vids, but the game looked better to me on 360. the ONLY reason this is even close is because it was supposed to be a ps3 exclusive, so ps3 was the lead platform, which is not the case 95% of the time (Dark Souls being the only other recent game that comes into mind). games that are developed for pc or 360 first, NEVER look equally as good on the ps3, imho.
its sad that Sony can't even put their own games in 1080p on their own system. 720p is all we get from 1st parties. i'm not gonna go into a system wars debate, but there is no convincing me that my own eyes count less than yours, lol (to me, i mean).
that's how it should be. people play what they like best. most like the PC best in the graphics & controls, but i have despised the mouse & keyboard for gaming. again, the 360 controller does way better for me, as the rumble & trigger are much more satisfying in a fps to me, while others like the quickness & accuracy of the k&m. tons of people like the ps3 versions of games better, as i do with 360 (which may take some overlooking of certain things, or being used to a certain look). it's great that i have a choice to buy it on my favorite system, no matter what it is.
EDIT: also, another 'recent game', dragon age 2 looked so terrible on ps3, i switched consoles & missed out on the best part of the sequel (awesome bioware programming that incorporates the last game into many aspects of you're playthrough of the new game). i put 100+ hours into DA:O. every website said the textures were better on ps3, and gamespot even gave the ps3 version a higher score. i purchased that version. they failed to mention that the ps3 version's framerate was so bad it was like watching a slide show - and that was WITH a mandatory 4gb install on the tiny 74gb hdd (supposed to be 80gb) which was almost full (another reason i like the 360 better - no mandatory installs, unlike 85+% of ps3 games). just had to mention that, cuz that sealed the deal on me buying anything but exclusives, fighting (1 game in almost 3 years, lol), and (barely existant, exclusive) PSN games on ps3 (and i don't watch movies at all, so br player means nothing to me).
