"Too many good deals lately... Must resist... Urge to purchase everything..." BUMP!
"you ain't lyin'" bump.

bought a 50$ psn card from a guy yesterday for 33$ & he was banned 5 min after i left feedback. that's happened about 3 times since i've been trading here. i emailed the paypal address, and he told me what they said, but that's still crazy that it keeps happening.

Weird, What deals have you seen? Other than the Infamous 2 CE I haven't really seen anything I wanted. I haven't been on CAG much lately but usually people have to either do something really serious or be repeat offenders to get banned.

of course. i don't pay first, lol. i contacted him by email & he said the mod wanted to be a hero saying that because he had plenty of them, that it was a scam. it was not, i guarantee. it's the guy from my last feedback (which i'm glad he left before getting banned, lol).

he lives in UK, so maybe that's how he got them cheap, who cares....i mean, knows. he has them on ebay for more (didn't look to see how much more), but could avoid those fees by selling to CAG. everyone that asked him had above 100 feedback (as we doubted it was real. he said he'd prove it, and told me to check my inbox and the code was there).

i tried to find his thread to tell him to post in the psn codes thread for more visibility, and i couldn't find it. i thought i was crazy. went to my feedback & clicked his username. it took me to his profile, that all the info was missing from, and said 'banned'.

he gave me me his email addy in case i wanted more, but i'm not making deal outside of CAG w/ folks i don't know, cuz then i can't persuade them to send 1st since i have no leverage.

Plenty of deals Oldschool - Toy Story on 360, Yakuza 4 for $25 (Amazon DOTD) to name a few. Wal-mart had a Dual Shock 3 for $31.99 (Black) also.

Bump...

That explains it then, I already have Goldeneye and I was able to snag the controllers from Radioshack a while back for less. I didn't see anything else that I would be interested in though, I have way too many music games as it is

i have ZERO interest in music games, so i had to restrain myself (as i was going to get it for a future trade, then i remembered shipping is ALOT, and i don't have any money, lol).

there were more deals, but just listed the few i'd bite on if i had the bread.

i hate soccer, but cought a repeat of the womens world cup the other day, and it was great. sucks the US lost, but i'm glad it was Japan if they had to lose to anyone. think their 1st world cup victory & they knocked out Germany earlier in the tourney, who was favored to win it all. i play soccer when YOUNG, and the first 2 ladies that i had long term relationships with played really seriously. every girlfriend i had before i was 18 played soccer in some form, though (probably because my best friend at the time played seriously, and i went to lots of his games BORED to tears). YAY for Japan Women's team :whee:!

I like DJ Hero a bit. Guitar Hero is fun. Sucks that the hardware isn't worth anything though, especially for early adopters. And, really, it's all gimmicks, but it's fun for parties and such. Shipping kills a lot of deals for me (especially Best Buy & Toys R Us).
Added you to my list of Great CAG Traders.
Thanks, I finally had some free time so I added you to my list as well :D

Bump...

I just noticed that you don't list a PS3 or Xbox360 gamertag in your avatar, do you play online? That was a fairly good answer twztid, I figured that it must be kammy koopa

i agree on the version of freddy, but that's the best MK news i've heard EVER! rather Jason, but Freddy will be SWEET. i wish the ps3 had the 'MKpass' where you get all 4 dlc characters for the price of 3. i've held off cuz 5$ each is too much. i have to buy freddy, though. i want Kenshi, too, but as soon as i start buying them (& the oldschool outfits), they will all go on sale.

i'll wait til i can devote more time to it before i buy any dlc characters. i just hope people don't stop playing online. i must finish LA Noire, Infamous2, & Bastion first, though.
That's a major problem I have with online games. I don't really play online, and it's because of a few reasons, but mainly lack of community on a lot of titles (especially those from a few years ago). Companies can't even guarantee you can find someone to play against, yet they want to charge $10 for an online pass and limit even fewer people from getting a chance to play online against.

$5 per character is too much. I didn't even download the Noire' stuff, because I feel that these companies are trying to nickel and dime us. It's only going to get worse. I don't want to pay $20 for level 1 and $5 for each level after. Give me the whole game!!! If you want to add stuff 6 months to a year down the road to keep it fresh, so be it!
agree 100%.

i did buy the R* pass for LA Noire, but after playing the most recently released case, i was very disappointed (reefer madness - it threw it in with my other cases, but it's the only one that it did that for, but i'm not at arson yet, so the nicholson electroplating could be mixed in, too). i felt like i was playing mafia 2. there were TWO questions asked in the whole case (the way i did it), and was strictly several gunfights. sucks, too, as i had one of the cases from preordering from walmart already (which made this dlc worse). i like that i didn't miss out on it totally, but i hate that it was cut from the game & doled out to retailers for them to entice gamers to preorder from them. when it's crap i don't like it, but when it's levels from the game, i HATE it.

i could go on forever, but i'll spare everyone, lol. i love the XBL network LOTS better in terms of chatting, finding games, etc., but that also means more people that act like the people you mentioned before. it's fantastic if you go into it with friends & ignore (mute) everyone else. the ps3 is so sketchy on that fromt, it's terrible. in most games, and most recently the Uc3 beta, you have to wait to get into a game before chatting. noone has mics. once we were in the game on the same team, the ONLY way to just talk to each other (since there's no party chat) is just to mute everyone else, but they still get to eavesdrop if they wanted. also, after matches in many games, it puts people you're in a squad/team/whatever on the opposite team, so i no longer get to play with my buddy (that i went into the game solely to play with). terrible.

As for Xbox Live, I don't think the benefits outweigh the cost (especially when PSP/Wii/PS3 are all free), and I prefer the PS3's controller/library anyhow. Maybe online gaming will get it's act together next generation. But, I won't bet on it.
Freddy Kreuger in Mortal Kombat? What the F@#K?
I just read that today on a gaming site but I figured it must be a joke, kind of an out of the blue character:lol: I figured maybe a new character not a horror movie villain, I think I would prefer Mike Myers:twisted: I've noticed the problems with multiplayer console games which is why I still prefer to play PC games online. So far The easiest way to meet decent people to play with online has either been through Steam co-op games or through CAG

I totally agree about the cost not really being worth it for LIVE but I was able to find a really good deal so I guess I'll try it for a year. Feel free to add me on any of the consoles, my info is in my avatar. I'm usually on Steam most of the time but I do play a console game about once a week. I just finished TMNT: Turtles in Time re-shelled today, finished it quickly but then again I used to own it on the SNES:lol:

I feel the same way for on-line play. We usually run a full team when we play Black Ops, Reach, and BFBC2. Feel free to add me as well if you guys want. I play a wide variety of games.

I'm posting this on oldschool's trade list thread and mine.

Turtles in Time Re-shelled - You liked this? I only played the demo, but it looked terrible. Environments were bland, I liked the original so much better in terms of graphics, control, etc. I know the original TMNT Arcade game is on Xbox Live, but does either PS3 or Xbox have the original Turtles in Time Arcade machine game?

i only recently like the ps3 games better (on ONLY the exclusives). their open ended mp network allows for too many cheaters, and i LOATHE the ps3 controller. the games i have always bought have always been better on 360 (especially since the 360 has an internal upscaler that makes everything 1080p, and the ps3 games look terrible in comparison in HD in 720p- especially 3rd party games). i also LOVE the 360 controller. the triggers are great for shooting & racing games & is just all around better. the ps3 is better for games that use the d-pad, but that's fighters....and i don't play those much. XBLA is leagues ahead of PSN in terms of games, as well.

the only thing i couldn't live without on ps3 is uncharted, but that's why i own both. the above is just my preferences, of course. it sucks that it's so hard to communicate on psn, since the chatpad SUCKS. the 360 one is backlit, and i keep it DARK in here. i wish the ps3 had the good chatpad. the XBL is easily worth it for me since i have never paid more than 30$ for 1 year, and i have friends in Ireland & in Sweden that i couldn't talk to otherwise (i have a prepaid phone, and no carrier would do international voice alone for 30$/year, much less the rest of the awesomeness that is XBL). i also bought PSN+ but their online catalogue is so poor, it's worthless. i like Qore, and when that's the best thing you get....not a good sign.

oh well, different strokes for differnt folks. i love gaming period, but the wii online is laughable. if you tried to play online on all 3 systems with your friends, you would see the PSN/Wii doesn't compare in the console world (at least i think you would since you're very smart ). ALL my opinion, of course.
As for 360 upscaling everything, a lot of it still looks bad. It's not true 1080p.
hence the name, "upscaling," lol. all the games are in the same resolution on both systems, but every game that i play looks better on the 360. gta4 was my first test. the ps3 lighting engine is horrible & makes everything look sparkley at times (soul calibur 4 was a perfect example where everyone could see the difference). i'm a graphics whore, so i notice things that normal people can't see if they try. some gaming friends notice, but others don't.

all that matters is that there is basically a way for everyone to enjoy the games they love. that's what i like about this gen, and hope digital distrbution doesn't kill that (as there is NO 3rd party controller that is the same as the official MS 360 one, and we'd be stuck w/ knockoffs if there were just one console, and there would be no competition to drive prices down. yay capitolism).

i'm usually in the minority on the controller end (that's why i felt the need to explain, probably). most started gaming around the ps1 so that's what they're used to. my faves were the n64, the dreamcast, xbox controller-s, then 360. it's probably due to the types of games we play. in most games, it doesn't matter, but in racing games, it's not even close. i hate that there is such a big dead zone when you move the ps3 analogs like a tiny bit. al ittle more, they go full throttle. the 360 controller is very sensitive, and that i like.

It was fine but it seemed awfully short  It's definitely HD compared to the original but it seemed unusual more like hand drawn comics or something, I think they did too much smoothing. It's definitely not a remake of the SNES version but it's been so long since I played the arcade version I'm not sure what this version is based on. From the few reviews I read it seems that this version is a graphically updated version of the Arcade game?
I loved the Dreamcast controller...

But, as for better graphics, MOST recent games look better on the PS3...
LA Noire comes to mind...

lol @ Wii 480p. But, then again, graphics aren't everything.
i strongly disagree on LA Noire. a neighbor has it and we compared it ourselves (after reading/seeing the usual Ars Technica or gametrailers comparisons), and they were identical. the signs showed up a little quicker while driving in the vids, but the game looked better to me on 360. the ONLY reason this is even close is because it was supposed to be a ps3 exclusive, so ps3 was the lead platform, which is not the case 95% of the time (Dark Souls being the only other recent game that comes into mind). games that are developed for pc or 360 first, NEVER look equally as good on the ps3, imho.

its sad that Sony can't even put their own games in 1080p on their own system. 720p is all we get from 1st parties. i'm not gonna go into a system wars debate, but there is no convincing me that my own eyes count less than yours, lol (to me, i mean).

that's how it should be. people play what they like best. most like the PC best in the graphics & controls, but i have despised the mouse & keyboard for gaming. again, the 360 controller does way better for me, as the rumble & trigger are much more satisfying in a fps to me, while others like the quickness & accuracy of the k&m. tons of people like the ps3 versions of games better, as i do with 360 (which may take some overlooking of certain things, or being used to a certain look). it's great that i have a choice to buy it on my favorite system, no matter what it is.

EDIT: also, another 'recent game', dragon age 2 looked so terrible on ps3, i switched consoles & missed out on the best part of the sequel (awesome bioware programming that incorporates the last game into many aspects of you're playthrough of the new game). i put 100+ hours into DA:O. every website said the textures were better on ps3, and gamespot even gave the ps3 version a higher score. i purchased that version. they failed to mention that the ps3 version's framerate was so bad it was like watching a slide show - and that was WITH a mandatory 4gb install on the tiny 74gb hdd (supposed to be 80gb) which was almost full (another reason i like the 360 better - no mandatory installs, unlike 85+% of ps3 games). just had to mention that, cuz that sealed the deal on me buying anything but exclusives, fighting (1 game in almost 3 years, lol), and (barely existant, exclusive) PSN games on ps3 (and i don't watch movies at all, so br player means nothing to me).

the last movie i watched was Inglorious Baterds & rented it on dvd from redbox, as i knew a code for a free rental at the one where i worked (it was 'BREAKROOM' if you ever want to try, but it has to be your first rental). i have 2 bluray players, 4 dvd players (2 w/ dvd recorders), and that's the only movie i've watched on them.

Tarantino's movies will always get a watch from me, but i have such a backlog, that any freetime i get, i play games. when most people lay around & watch movies, i watch the news, lol. i did watch the bluray sample that came with the ps3 (ps3/360 are both hooked up w/ HDMI 1.4 cables) and it looked amazing. i've been waiting on something i just can't wait to have on bluray. was going to be the Lost complete collection, but that was hundreds of dollars. was really interested in seeing Machete, but i can get it for 1$ at red box ()i was going to bid on that if you had a lowbal, but my money has since been spent .

i know i'm missing out, but when i get into something, i get into it. i don't need another rampant obsession that i can't afford in my life. i have a short list of things i'll see eventually, but really it probably boils down to money more than anything. the paradox is once i can afford them (getting a job), i have even less time to watch them.

EDIT:Oldschool was right about wireless keyboards sucking. the batteries are full but my posts are full of missing letters, etc. UGH!
I never noticed a difference in the dual shock 3 and the six-axis controllers...
only difference was the sixaxis didn't have rumble. exact same shape, etc.

I wish I could afford the Lost blu-ray box set too.

If I ever do get around to having a lowball, safe to say Machete will be in there.

I don't use rumble for most games and since the sixaxis weighs less I can play longer without any fatigue ;) Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank, God of War collection, several third party titles and ironically Lego Star Wars are 1080P twztid. There are quite a few PS3 games that can't output 1080P but to be fair though I don't think the older 360's could output 1920×1080 since they didn't have an HDMI port before 2007.

Meanwhile my PC has been able to output 2560x1600 since I upgraded the card in 2008 and I expect the resolution capabilities to go up whenever I upgrade my GPU again  I love blu-ray movies too but I only buy newer movies since anything before early 2000s doesn't look that great unless it's been restored :whistle2:( Lately I've been buying older TV series (70s, 80s, 90s) on DVD, but the PS3 upscaling makes them look decent enough for me:cool:
