Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

As others have mentioned in this thread, most clearance is done on the store-level, so these prices are generally YMMV. Most of the stuff I have seen in this thread is still MSRP or like $10 cheaper in my local Sears.
 
I called my store (and they found Burnout Revenge after I gave them the item# from the Sears website). The guy told me it's still $30, so it basically hasn't dropped a penny.

Will they adjust the price to the correct value if I tell them to call a store that has it in their system for $6.97 or $8.97 (the two prices I've seen mentioned here)??

well, the new round of pricing if very very YMMV as most of the games sold out at the $10-$12 range in Nov.- Jan. (when I found mine) Post a trade thread the ones you are seeking...

Never, never, never, never, never, never, NEVER CALL A STORE, since if the employees are gamers or Ebay resellers, you might as well kiss those games you're calling about goodbye if they are super cheap.

Although, if the way some items from the current list are priced versus the prices they are in my local store, then I'll be waiting a long, long time for them to drop to any reasonable amount.
 
Just picked up an official microsoft component cable for xbox360 for 5.97

Also got a AC/DC PSP travel charger for 6.97
 
I agree with iamthecheapestgamer about never calling a store. I called Sears yesterday to see if they had anymore SNk vs Capcom for DS & they said no. Today when I went in there to get contacts, low & behold, there was a copy in the case AND one in the reduced bin. Thanks for doing your job, assholes.

i think im going to put this on the first page. i will be updating the op tonight or tomorrow for any recent post/finds/drops.

anyways, good day today at sears. i picked up:

star trek 360 - $1.97
rogue galaxy - $3.97
xbox live gold 12 months - $23.97

there were others i couldnt pick up cause they were still expensive. like dead or alive 4, virtua tennis ps3 all for $16.97

Actually it sounds like you proved him wrong. They were incompetent, yes, but they didn't take the game for themselves. I recently bought some clearnce games from a Sears and the guy was shocked at the prices, but two weeks later more of the same games were still there - they hadn't taken any of them. So, yeah, calling may be pointless, but it isn't always, or even often the case that they are hoarders. At least not in my experience.

true. we cant rule out both, but next time for anyone who would like to purchase certain games that youre not sure a sears would have, do yourself a favor and just head over there and find out for yourself. if not, i could understand some people may be lazy or does not want to be disappointed, specially since gas prices will climb up since its nearing summer now. i could also understand if the sears is more than 10 miles or more away from you. but just try to understand that calling a sears would slim your chances of being able to pick up the game you asked for specially if its cheap. while i was there today, i saw some very cheap games under the register (PDZ, Star Trek, and something else). i know ST was $2 but im pretty sure PDZ was around that price range.
 
I wouldn't bother calling a Sears simply due to the example above...they don't know or care about what games are in stock. I wouldn't worry about them snatching anything up, though. If they were savvy enough to know what fetches a good price, they probably would have already gotten the stuff.

I didn't know Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3 was on clearance, I'll have to keep an eye on that one (if I can find it for under $10)

My brother picked up a 20 GB hard drive from sears and it was only 8.97!!! this needs to be updated/ also Superman Returns is only 1.97 now!!!

The fighting isn't turn based, but it's like an standard RPG in that it has random battles (and you can't see the enemies until in a battle.) I didn't like the game and sold it after only a short time with it, but normal RPGs aren't my cup of tea it would seem so definitely YMMV (I did/do love Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, but it, as I'm finding out, is pretty unique.)

The beauty of it is that if I start playing it now and don't like it, I'll get $10.50 for it ($11.21 with my MVP).

Absolutely. I got it at kmart a while back and did the same thing. It wasn't as cheap as the Sears price now, but still very cheap and after I decided I didn't like it I ebay'd it for more than I paid for it. Win-Win.

I went to my Sears today & they never have any clearance games but i did saw the Logitech wireless controller...So i jump & picked it up...It rang up 0.00 so the guys said its not for sale.:bomb:

All you guys trading your 360 games in for $5 why dont you hook up a fellow CAG instead, i'll buy your games for $5 plus the cost of shipping...
 
I saw TMNT3 for DS on clearance for $15. I didn't pick it up, but it leaves me hopeful that somewhere there's also a TMNT3 for GC at Sears, since the DS game had one of those big price stickers like those frontline games. I didn't know that Konami released the TMNT3 games to those front line cos., but now I'll keep looking. If anyone finds one, please let me know via PM. Thanks.
 
Found Elite Beat Agents for $1.97 last night. Picked up 2 copies (1 for me to replace the one I loaned to a coworker and another for another coworker) Didn't see much of anything else though.

I've noticed a couple stores in my area putting out clearance games I know weren't there a month ago. Not that I'm complaining...
 
Tales of Phantasia (GBA) got RTV'ed at the Sears in Littleton, CO, so that might be ymmv or not.

Also. WTF (PSP) is $1.97, Digimon World (DS) $3.97, and StarFox Command (DS) $3.97. Once again, probably YMMV.

It's inventory time for Sears/RGIS, so I'll post up more information as I get it. Too bad a lot of the Sears in my district don't carry video games anymore.
 
got Rogue Galaxy $3.97 Neopets $ 3.97 and drum roll please..... Baten Kaitos Orgins for $.097. I almost fell over when I scanned that one. The girl who rang it up almost fainted. She paused didn't know what to do for almost 20 secs just staring at the game. Luckily it was closing time and said if that's what the computer says then ok. She wrote down the upc. She will be a sad panda cause that was the last one.:applause:
 
Didn't get but saw Call Of Duty 3 for Wii @ $34.97 There was another game for Wii @ that price too but the name escapes me at the moment. I'll edit later if I remember.

i did try to get Metal gear Acid 2 cause i knew it went on clearance last summer but it was out of the system :cry: they even had 3 of them. i asked to buy it for $3 each and he wouldnt let me. oh well. good haul anyways.
