Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

My fiancee works at Sears, and they do always seem to be hiring people, even though the stores are pretty devoid of customers. She works in loss prevention, and they barely get any cases lately. Even the shop lifters don't bother, anymore.

They usually do the drops the second week in the month or in some cases whenever they get around to it... but the same applies to this store as others and never trust sticker price always have it scanned or look for a wall scanner..
 
I had to go to traffic court today in oakland and decided to hit up Sears on my way back over the bridge and I managed to pick up Buzz for $24 at the Southland Mall in Hayward, CA. They still had one copy of it along with a stockpile of older titles...too bad I didnt try and price them all...
 
The Sears I went to on 3/19 had the following (all for PS3):

Bioshock (bought the next to last one)
Rock Band (1 left) (game only)
Heavenly Sword (5 or 6 left)
Spiderman Web Of Shadows (1 left)

Other Crap I Can't Remember....

These games were all in the locked-up case and none of them had pink clearance stickers... I had to look close to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
 
Does Sony even sell the wireless buzzers separately from the game? If not, I may just go back to Sears and pick up the other bundle I saw, so I can have 8 buzzers for parties.

Nah, they don't. I would suggest buying the bundle and keeping the receipt. After that, call Gamestop and see what their policy is on the game used. For the previous buzz games, the wired controllers are $4.99. They may also split up the wireless buzzers and game for the ps3, kind of like what they do for Scene It! If they do and the price is significantly cheaper than $24.97, I would get the buzzers then return the unopened game.
 
I'm headed out soon to get some pricematches done. I'm bringing my Final Fantasy VI's as someone said they dropped to $4.97.

I'll have updates when I reach a wifi signal.

I called today and the used buzz ps3 game is sold with the buzzers for $39.99.
 
I called this morning-- The TIV on the Buzz! game disc alone is $13, the buzzers have an independent TIV of 3.50.

That means that you are essentially buying buzzers for 12 dollars. Well worth it in my opinion.

What the hell? GS told me they sell the used game with the buzzers. I'll get to the bottom of this!

Edit: Ok, here is the sku 900755, that is supposed to be the wireless buzzers and they are supposed to sell for $9.99. You have to call and give them that # then they can tell you where you can get them.

I hit a Sears Grand store while we were out shopping this morning. I found a couple copies of PaRappa for PSP marked $5. Also saw the PS3 HDMI kit for $24.97 and the Audio Cable marked $9.97. They didn't really have anything else worth noting.
 
just like they did with the scene it bundles, they throw the box away and keep the game and the buzzers but they sell the them separately.

I saw Devil May Cry 4 (PS3/360) $20 almost most places. Simpsons $10 at newegg. Iron man not even worth $10 in my book.

sucks for me...the sears down south 25 miles has no games and the sears up north 25 miles is in the mall and clearance section is located at a busy isle where its easy pickup:bomb:
 
Hello im insane or something but if anyone is wanting to unload one of the Uber cheap copies of LAIR they got hit me up with a PM and help a CAG out... the store around me still has them at $59.99 ;)

wouldn't that be crazy if i buy that then bring it to my sears that had it for .97 and get a price adjustment. i wonder what kind of reaction i'd get. i'll probably end up getting a "that cant be right" answer.

and eturnal sonata for 4.97

Oh and last month I got .hack//gu vol 3 and it was 9.99 not what's posted in the front page

I got the .hack at $ 0.97 price point 2 or 3 months ago. It was 9.97 at 1 store and I did a price adjustment at a different store that had it for $ 0.97.

Oh well. Not like I have more than one sears. I'm glad I got it. I had to trade my other one in to GS a while ago and I'm glad to have it back.

Thanks for the help, guys! Much appreciated. Unfortunately, no stores near me have the wireless buzzers sold separately, so I bought that second bundle at Sears. I'll open it up and use the extra 4 buzzers until my friend gets his PS3--then I'll give him the bundle and we can share the buzzers whenever either of us have a party.

Oh yeah I forgot to ask. When I was at my sears they said it was a new policy when they sold games to take down your birthday/name/and I think number. The guy didn't even press anything extra on the computer because I was watching the screen the whole time and the input fields came up. I was there in feb and it wasn't like that.

Is it just my sears or all? I thought it was weird.

My sears too.... I bought american idol encore for the wii yesterday and it asked for my birthdate.

The game is rated E. The guy didnt know why it was coming up either.:lol:

Funny, the cashier also asked for my birthdate and I'm pretty sure Nascar is rated E for everyone.
 
I got asked for my birthday when I had them price check a PSP extended battery. The guy said it was a glitch that should only be for Mature rated games that just started happening on Friday.

Don't get too excited... my store told me that electronics are the excluded to the Friends and Family... my guess is that games fall as electronics.

On the bottom of page 2 of the pdf it has the restrictions which includes video game systems but not games, and page 3 is all about using the discount on electronics (including clearance electronics)

My son has high functioning autism, and is obsessed with Pokemon, and wanted this game. I picked up a nib copy at Target this week for $34.97, but if I could find it for less, I could put a little more in his Easter basket. I'm in the Cinci Tri-State area - anyone seen them here???
