But there's a smiley face! They always say that. Like Vig said, it's probably just gonna be $10 (or even $15) with the standard 20%-30% off for Plus members.

That's how they reel you in.But there's a smiley face!
This is my problem with Subway. Their prices are asinine. The reason fast food works is because of the Value Menu. I mean, do that many people really order the $6 burgers at McDonalds or Wendys? If you do, why not just go to a decent place and get one?The meatball is serviceable, but with them jacking the price up on it so much it isn't even worth it anymore.
Getting 10% off with my Employee ID + a free cookie thanks to the receipt survey makes a footlong meatball sub cost $4.95+tax for me, which isn't bad. This is my problem with Subway. At Wendy's I can get a huge variety of foods (Burgers, Nuggets, Chili, Fries, Potoates, etc.) for like $4 and make a meal out of it. Pretty sure there aren't any Subway subs under $5 anymore. If I'm gonna spend that much on a fast food meal, it's going to taste decent (like JJs or Potbelly)
Borked linkJust had a pretty sweet run in Monster Bash (for me anyway):

Both, but I was alluding to the one with the higher score.^So which one are you--XXX or XXX?
Hmm, picture shows up for me (in Chrome).Borked link
Yeah but Sandwich + cookie without a discount has got to be close to $8 after tax. There are literally a billion better ways to spend $8 then at subway.Getting 10% off with my Employee ID + a free cookie thanks to the receipt survey makes a footlong meatball sub cost $4.95+tax for me, which isn't bad.
Okay Keeper. ThanksGetting 10% off with my Employee ID + a free cookie thanks to the receipt survey makes a footlong meatball sub cost $4.95+tax for me, which isn't bad.
Yeah, like a Jimmy John's sub that I can finish eating before Subway even finishes making their sub. And I save $1 and enjoy the sub more.Yeah but Sandwich + cookie without a discount has got to be close to $8 after tax. There are literally a billion better ways to spend $8 then at subway.
Says the guy who thought the brisket sub at firehouse is over rated.I never get a footlong sub, so to me Subway's prices seem reasonable. I don't love Subway, but at least they are close. The hot pastrami is pretty good.
I can see it fine at work.Is that mpaulin pic not broken for others? Maybe work is blocking that site….
How big do you think that cookie is? The meatball sub is $5.50 without a discount and cookies are $0.69 each IIRC.Yeah but Sandwich + cookie without a discount has got to be close to $8 after tax. There are literally a billion better ways to spend $8 then at subway.
I have to say this is pretty funny coming from the pre-packaged cold cut guy.Says the guy who thought the brisket sub at firehouse is over rated.
You have no credibility here, sir.
That reminds me of prom nightYou can all run backwards naked through a field of dicks
It used to be that here. Be prepared for pricing shock when it jumps to 6.50 there. I can't imagine that is only a local price jump, but maybe. How big do you think that cookie is? The meatball sub is $5.50 without a discount and cookies are $0.69 each IIRC.
Irrelevant. Check the OP. It's official. How big do you think that cookie is? The meatball sub is $5.50 without a discount and cookies are $0.69 each IIRC.
If it ever jumps that high, I'll likely stop going. It used to be that here. Be prepared for pricing shock when it jumps to 6.50 there. I can't imagine that is only a local price jump, but maybe.
Mo'sI havent been to Five Guys in a long ass time. I am thinking of going there to eat dinner before going home.
Is there any national chains you guys can think of that have special Monday deals? I am drawing a blank.
Funny thing is, I found a website that claims to have their pricing. It says $5.72 for GA and $6.93 for Maryland when it seems to be almost reverse that for each of us.If it ever jumps that high, I'll likely stop going.
eh, Mo's is okay. Thanks for trying though.Mo's
HELLO! Welcome to Mo's!!!
Yeah I am usually too cheap to pay someone to deliver my food. During the week at least I can just as easily stop on my way home. Depending on the place my wife might place the order during my drive to save time. Or I might just order it when I get there. I can also check my order while there and make sure it is right vs having to deal with the delivery guy not having everything. You also have to pay a delivery fee on top of tipping the driver.
It's basically a debate of "Does spending $5 make up for not having to drive 10-20 minutes to go grab my food?". I usually just pick it up. Same with pizza, I usually order that carryout.
Basically just a lazy vs. cheap argument.
The one in my area seems locally-owned, though, since they send out coupons that can only be used at that location and claim that they'll match any competitor's coupons on similar products, plus they give the 10% discount for employees at my workplace despite being 10 miles away.Funny thing is, I found a website that claims to have their pricing. But what did FWB get for lunch from Potbelly's?Potbelly's was excellent. Puts Subway to shame, and I'd say it even has a lot better flavor than Jimmy Johns. I got the Pizza Sandwich (I'll get it with no mushrooms next time cuz it was overloaded with them) and FWB got the Wreck. Really good and decent prices. Maybe some of you big eaters would still be hungry and need 2 sandwiches, but I was very content with just one.
And did you allow her to get a drink, or did you force her to drink water? But what did FWB get for lunch from Potbelly's?

I guess the last time I went to Subway the Meatball footlong was still $5. You are right though. For close to $8 I rather just go to a real Deli. Once or twice a month for lunch at work I go to a Pizza place that shares space with a Dunkin' Donuts. Across the driveway is a Subway. I rather spend $9 - $10 for a sandwich at the Pizza place and a DD iced tea then a footlong and drink at Subway for $8.Yeah but Sandwich + cookie without a discount has got to be close to $8 after tax. There are literally a billion better ways to spend $8 then at subway.
The Puppeteer trophy card is kinda terrifying out of context. A sentient puppet, its mouth open in what looks like a scream, the plunging tuft of hair (from a distance) giving the appearance of an angry unibrow, all while wielding an open pair of giant scissors as if ready to cleave whatever (or whomever) is in front of it.Just had a pretty sweet run in Monster Bash (for me anyway):
http://www.eatdrinkdeals.com/ buncha coopins there.eh, Mo's is okay. Thanks for trying though.
I will probably just stop at BK since they still have the $1.49 chicken nuggets and I can get a $1.99 bacon cheesburger too. Less than $4 for dinner? Yes please.
Water of course. And did you allow her to get a drink, or did you force her to drink water?

The game itself is actually a little messed up so it kind of fits. The Puppeteer trophy card is kinda terrifying out of context. Not many national chains that I know of, but a lot of the local burger bar and grills in my area have Monday burger specials. KC Smoke Burger, Set-em Up Jacks, Henry T's, etc. Could try calling a few Bar & Grills in your area from the yellow pages and do a carry out order if one of them has a deal.I havent been to Five Guys in a long ass time. I am thinking of going there to eat dinner before going home.

Wow you let her buy flavored water with chunks of left over day old stuff in it? You must be getting soft.Water of course.
But she wanted to try some soup so we got a side order of that. I didn't like it but I think she did. It was some lentil bean thing, I dunno.
Yeah, a lot of those "hipster" burger places have $5 burger specials around here. I decided I am just going to go to BK for cheap. Not many national chains that I know of, but a lot of the local burger bar and grills in my area have Monday burger specials.
