Just had a pretty sweet run in Monster Bash (for me anyway):

The meatball is serviceable, but with them jacking the price up on it so much it isn't even worth it anymore.
This is my problem with Subway. Their prices are asinine. The reason fast food works is because of the Value Menu. I mean, do that many people really order the $6 burgers at McDonalds or Wendys? If you do, why not just go to a decent place and get one?

At Wendy's I can get a huge variety of foods (Burgers, Nuggets, Chili, Fries, Potoates, etc.) for like $4 and make a meal out of it. Pretty sure there aren't any Subway subs under $5 anymore. If I'm gonna spend that much on a fast food meal, it's going to taste decent (like JJs or Potbelly)

Getting 10% off with my Employee ID + a free cookie thanks to the receipt survey makes a footlong meatball sub cost $4.95+tax for me, which isn't bad.

Yeah but Sandwich + cookie without a discount has got to be close to $8 after tax. There are literally a billion better ways to spend $8 then at subway.

Yeah, like a Jimmy John's sub that I can finish eating before Subway even finishes making their sub. And I save $1 and enjoy the sub more.

I dont even know what falafel is. Looked like seasoned balls of bread or something. Tasted alright and was pretty filling for $5 with a drank though.

Is that mpaulin pic not broken for others? Maybe work is blocking that site….

Yeah, I guess work blocks that image for some reason. I can see it on my phone if I turn off wifi. Weird. And good score, mpaulin.

I never get a footlong sub, so to me Subway's prices seem reasonable. I don't love Subway, but at least they are close. The hot pastrami is pretty good.

I havent been to Five Guys in a long ass time.  I am thinking of going there to eat dinner before going home.

Is there any national chains you guys can think of that have special Monday deals?  I am drawing a blank.

Says the guy who thought the brisket sub at firehouse is over rated.

You have no credibility here, sir.
I have to say this is pretty funny coming from the pre-packaged cold cut guy.

That and the paying extra for delivery at JJ's thing has me thinking you are one of those anything to avoid any sort of wait guys.

I love Corporate America.   I have this presentation to do in front of one of the big bosses.  A bunch of us do as part of this training program for up and coming managers. Its all about getting people some face time and exposure with senior management bla bla bla.

It was originally scheduled in November.  Then it was pushed to December.  Then it was supposed to happen tomorrow morning.

I just got a reschedule for March.

eh, Mo's is okay. Thanks for trying though.

I will probably just stop at BK since they still have the $1.49 chicken nuggets and I can get a $1.99 bacon cheesburger too. Less than $4 for dinner? Yes please.

You also have to pay a delivery fee on top of tipping the driver.

It's basically a debate of "Does spending $5 make up for not having to drive 10-20 minutes to go grab my food?". I usually just pick it up. Same with pizza, I usually order that carryout.

Basically just a lazy vs. cheap argument.
Yeah I am usually too cheap to pay someone to deliver my food. During the week at least I can just as easily stop on my way home. Depending on the place my wife might place the order during my drive to save time. Or I might just order it when I get there. I can also check my order while there and make sure it is right vs having to deal with the delivery guy not having everything.

Funny thing is, I found a website that claims to have their pricing. It says $5.72 for GA and $6.93 for Maryland when it seems to be almost reverse that for each of us.
The one in my area seems locally-owned, though, since they send out coupons that can only be used at that location and claim that they'll match any competitor's coupons on similar products, plus they give the 10% discount for employees at my workplace despite being 10 miles away.

Potbelly's was excellent. Puts Subway to shame, and I'd say it even has a lot better flavor than Jimmy Johns. I got the Pizza Sandwich (I'll get it with no mushrooms next time cuz it was overloaded with them) and FWB got the Wreck. Really good and decent prices. Maybe some of you big eaters would still be hungry and need 2 sandwiches, but I was very content with just one.
But what did FWB get for lunch from Potbelly's?

I guess the last time I went to Subway the Meatball footlong was still $5. You are right though. For close to $8 I rather just go to a real Deli. Once or twice a month for lunch at work I go to a Pizza place that shares space with a Dunkin' Donuts. Across the driveway is a Subway. I rather spend $9 - $10 for a sandwich at the Pizza place and a DD iced tea then a footlong and drink at Subway for $8.

The Puppeteer trophy card is kinda terrifying out of context. A sentient puppet, its mouth open in what looks like a scream, the plunging tuft of hair (from a distance) giving the appearance of an angry unibrow, all while wielding an open pair of giant scissors as if ready to cleave whatever (or whomever) is in front of it.

But yeah, Potbelly's is really good.  I used to always get 2 sandwiches and eat 1.5 and save the other half for later.  Now that they have the bigs, I just get one of those.  My go to is the big italian with everything on it.  And yes, that includes mayo.  It's basically the only thing I get mayo on and it's just because the hot peppers are too hot without the mayo in there.

The game itself is actually a little messed up so it kind of fits.

Not many national chains that I know of, but a lot of the local burger bar and grills in my area have Monday burger specials. KC Smoke Burger, Set-em Up Jacks, Henry T's, etc. Could try calling a few Bar & Grills in your area from the yellow pages and do a carry out order if one of them has a deal.

One good thing about buying Simpsons Season 15 is that it came with a free digital copy of Season 2 from something called Targetticket.com.

Now I can easily make screen caps of those "Must. Find. Man." Terminator jokes that are fucking hilarious.

Yeah, a lot of those "hipster" burger places have $5 burger specials around here. I decided I am just going to go to BK for cheap.

So do all of you guys just have the lard physically removed from your veins or you just don't plan on living past 50? I'm all for a burger, a sub, or some pizza but the rate at which you guys eat this crap is somewhat alarming.
