Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST
Quick question: Is there a way to follow a player once he has left your current lobby? I want to go after these boosters. Thanks.
Not unless you friend them, and they join a game that's not full.

I'm really getting tired of this game, I've had 4 consecutive losses last night because of bad host/disconnects :(. I'll join some games with CAG players Friday night if I'm around, 2.01kdr, 1.29 win ratio, I play SnD most of the time though unless I'm trying to raise kdr/win ratio back up a bit. Can't wait for BFBC2 tbqh :whistle2:?

If I get on, it will only be for a bit....this cold kicked me for a bit and have been up since 0400.

I'd love to get on and find the idiot who was trash talking me last weekend when I was making the change to the tactical pad layout. I'm sure I looked stupid more than once (no comments from Madder for killing the whole team in CTF a few weeks back) dropping to the ground when I wanted to knife someone (after about 3 games my brain finally remembered), but sheesh...it is still just a game. So, to be a complete jerk (he was on my team) since he was being a complete _ss and was using silenced weapons, I followed him and lit up my SCAR. I know, jerk +1 here on that....

Man, I don't know what happened during those last 3 S&D games. I just couldn't seem to get into the mood. It was probly because I was/am so tired I coulda fallen asleep while playing.

Where were you guys at? We coulda gone for a few more guns along side us.

Hey I just want to let everyone know I think I am done with MW2.
It has just lost its appeal for me I will be playing BC2 mainly now.

If you need more room on your friends list you can take me off.

I missed game night, fair amount of stress going on and I've just been exhausted. I have to move by the end of March from the apartment I've lived in for 12 years now. If I'm not on, it's because I'm either apartment hunting or asleep. Thankfully it's suitably slow at work to allow me extra time to recover myself somewhat.

Holy shit I just had the best 3 games of my MW2 playtime.

 1. Ground War Domination @ Afghan: After under a dozen tries to get a Nuke (Harrier-AC130-Nuke), I was finally able to pop my Nuke cherry. My adrenaline was pumping when I needed just a couple of more kills after that AC130 and the match was nearing it's end; I really didn't want to die. Ended up going to where the 'C' flag was and took a few pop shots around the corner weaving in and out (which got a few kills) but I had to move forward and face my likely death. Thankfully I was able to kill 2 or 3 more players and got the Nuke killstreak just as I died. There was really 5 or so more points left to wait for but I hit that Nuke button like I was afraid it wouldn't work otherwise. I went 35-ish-8. :bomb:
 2. Ground War Domination @ Wasteland: The next game I go 20-0 (same killstreak combo) and I'm thinking "holy shit it's going to happen again! only 5 more kills!" but then I get hit by something and I think to myself someone knows where I was hiding for my AC130 uh'killing. I hid in that spot for a little while hoping the man would just leave me alone but he ends up coming in and raping my hopes. Ended that game 22-2 because someone else got a Nuke :whistle2:s
 3. Ground War Domination @ Favela: I decided this game I would just go for some challenges I was close to completing. The challenges required close-up fighting so I didn't go for a Nuke this time but went with Predator-Harrier-Pave Low for some air support while I ran around doing my thing. 48-20 was my end score.
Decided to stop while I was ahead because the inevitable was a terrible game that would just end up pissing me off.

@Mad39er
That sucks. Wish you luck and we hope you're on to play sometime soon. I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes having you around.

There's always a healthy dose of MW2 to cure you. Kaiser put it perfectly, in the wrong perspective.

Once you get your 5 killstreak, that gets you to atleast 6. Sometimes 7 or 8. Then that harrier will advance you to your next one if you sit back for 30-40 seconds.

I'm already rocking that. My KPD has been climbing for awhile after breaking even at around 3000 kills and deaths. It might be more interesting to know everyone's kills per minute.

Well, I found an apartment. Dropping the checks off today, figure we'll get a truck for the stuff that I definitely can't fit in my work truck. Between 2 cars, a work truck and probably a Uhaul truck, I think it may take two whole trips. The only thing that sucks is I'm moving from one side of the island to other, quite literally the long way.

I should be able to make game night, I'll set an alarm on my phone for 9:45. I figure hearing "Let the bodies hit the floor" should be enough of a clue to insert the MW2 disc. I do need to make more ringtones for my phone, since they end up used as alarm tones or for people, I think I'll try to find "Ten inch strojna!" somewhere on the net.

BFGN!

I'm not sure I'll be drinking but I'll be doing my best to warm up if anybody wants to invite me in the meantime.
So what's your guys' consensus on B:BC2.
The more I play the more I like it. Rush and Conquest modes are the best I think. I also like how you spawn on top of one of your squad mates and can be right back in the battle. The campaign is well....alright nothing special so far only played a few mission thus far.

I don't think I will be on tonight for CAG night I have my nephews over I think 8 is just to young to watch and/or play MW2.

Mad39er glad to see your on tonight let some frustration out. Best of luck with the move.

K, getting on right now.

-----

I'm 50-50 on getting B:BC2. The main thing holding me back is how you are limited to talk/party with only 3 other people. That kills the whole reason I would be getting that game: to play as a team.

Being able to only talk to your squad not an issue for me... it seems like everyone wants to run around anyways and not play as a team. Also has squad deathmatch which is 4 v. 4 v. 4 v. 4 and the first squad to fifty kills wins. This is fun when you have 4 people with mics and if the EA server doesn't kick you out randomly. Squad deathmatch you don't seem to get as many XP, compared to conquest and rush.

Rush is like demolition and conquest is domination (minus getting noobtube at every flag).

Also the vehicles are fun to drive and ride in...if you can find some one who can fly well, I cannot fly at all.

I think its a good multi-player that has it's pros and cons but its a fps and something different then MW2. B:BC2 also have nice large maps that move surprisingly quickly and I enjoy how everything can be destroyed. I will probably play B:BC2 until the map packs are available for MW2.

Showed up for an hour and a half or so, and it was fun. A nice change from my friends that I usually play with, since they seem to go for kills more than the objective. Also enjoyed not being criticized for doing terribly, since I did. :)

I agree. I usually don't do too well either and its a friendly environment to play in. I never do well in objective games since mostly play free for all.

I joined late last night and did horrible, the transition from B:BC2 to MW2 can be frustrating. I will have to warm up a bit before I jump right in next time.

I couldn't stay up any later than 12:45 am, so I quietly just left after you got shifted to another room and our party got dumped to the party screen, Combat.

There's usually a good bit of comedy to be had. I don't think we've ever really gotten too crazy except when everybody was on their game and we had like serious competition in front of us. The most you'll hear from me is 'Don't bunch up!' or 'Watch me die' or 'I'm going to do something stupid, don't follow me' followed by me dying. When I'm fully warmed up and on a roll, I'll try to motivate guys a little but there is no expectation or orders issued, I like it when my team feels the right kind of pressure that equates to pride vs necessity.

Now Kefka on the other hand will start a nuke push and forget to tell us because he's been an Elf lord bikini-wearing car washer flower-selling shemale that attracted the whole enemy team to his location so he can shimmy for them. But that's what World of Warcraft has done to him and is nobody elses fault.
I apologize for the coughing you guys were hearing.
Dude... I didn't hear you over my crunching on cheetos.

Yeah, if kefka had mentioned the "going for a nuke" then we probably would not have pushed for the middle of the map.

Have anyone ran up on those lvl 70 10th prestige hackers yet, cause it would be funny to own them every time.

The C4 and Rocket multi-kill were pretty good.

BTW - thanks for everyone letting me know I sounded better last night. I'll have to see what my 3-year old played with on my slim. He's into playing with the remotes, so he could've gotten into the voice settings. I know there have been a number of times when I have turned on the TV to find out he has it in SAP - which would be okay if I was fluent in Spanish. :)

It's not often I do that good, but as I keep saying, every once in a while I do something so stupid it turns out spectacular. It really helped that 4 out of 6 were snipers who relied on that opening time when they can snipe across the map from that hill in the bushes. I didn't realize I had somebody spectating me until whomever it was relayed the particulars about how I circled around the jeep, stabbed two guys and then knifed the sniper that was inside an open window. I did hear Kefka go "Unstoppable!", "Holy Sh!t!" and few other choice words as I'm running around like a mad man. It was nice getting the Star Player and Dronekiller challenges done in the same match though :D

Edit to add: Most of those were knife kills, I believe about 8 or 9 of them.

I thought it was funny when we played the last (private) match and Kefka managed to knife you AFTER you successfully disarmed the bomb. Timing is everything. Of course, I might have been able to help you if I wasn't still trying to fight the recoil in the ACR (still trying it out - and hating it). Then again, what do I expect for only playing twice in the last couple of weeks? I need to knock some rust off...and remember to slowly empty my rifle...or go back to the AUG until I can remember.

Was it me or were we getting either all snipers or noob tubers all night in GW last night?

Starting this Wednesday, I'll be hosting a CAG competiion. I'll be giving away 2, $10 PSN cards. The contest will end the game night before the release of the map packs.

The categories will be:

1. Best kill(s). Such as Hito's fail javelin, which missed the harrier, but it scored him a triple kill when it landed. Or if you got a 5+ explosion/spray kill.

2. Best game. Not necessarily a very high KD, but a collection of good plays in 1 game. Such as Mad's S&D game, last night. He didn't have any insane kills, but how he killed the whole team and how he knifed 3 guys back-to-back... Etc....

-----

It's up to you guys if the entries should only be counted during game nights, or anytime I'm on.

Well, I ended up with the 360 version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 somehow... It'll be another week or so until I get the PS3 version at this stupid rate. At least it frees up more time for MW2.

5 maps for $15,called it!!!!!Also, will you have the deadline when the PS3 gets the map packs or when xbox gets the map packs?I think the map packs are exclusive for the 360 for 30 days...

Anyone wanna play earlier than 10 tomorrow? I love playing with you guys, but my damn parents make me go to bed at 10 on weeknights. :(

Well, if it's good for everyone else. I just don't want to be the only one that wants it moved. :(
But Fridays at 10 are okay for me.

I may be on a little earlier....depends when my monster goes to bed.

I am wondering several things....why am I trying to play with the ACR - besides getting the bonus points? Much better with SCAR and AUG. Also, I suck at terminal in a free-4-all...although it does help me warming up.

My nigh in free-4-all....scrapyard 13k-15d, afgan 15-4 (think I spawn on the other side of the map every time I died), terminal 3-10, underpass 18-10 (after starting 0-6)...last game was 2 of us running around and camping snipers for everyone else....they hated me turning the tables and then my predator & precision air strike all in the 2 minutes. :)

One question for Madder, Kefka, and anyone else playing a lot of MP - what are your favorite equipment/perk loadouts?

I mean, I have
1. scar/whatever secondary with marathon pro, lightweight pro, and commando pro for CTF runs
2. scar or aug w/silencer & javalin with scavenger pro (possibly marathon or OMA depending upon game type), cold blooded (no pro yet), and ninja pro for stealth
3. the pinnapple express (scar w/grenades, thumper and danger close) load for those who choose to play that (or if we get wasteland in GW)

Actually been running without the 3rd one most of the time recently, but I will resort to the grenadier class if need be.
I may be on a little earlier....depends when my monster goes to bed...
I'm assuming your monster is your mother?

ACR w/ ACOG is my go-to long range weapon because I hate sniping in this game.

I'm not going to say my custom class names because they're all named after women or anime females but I run...

1. M4A1 w/ RDS or Holo + SPAS | C4 on objective based levels (thanks to NoKill for showing me the way) and Semtex for TDM/FFA | SoH/Scavenger + Stopping Power + Commando | KSC#1 + KSC#3 (depending on map)
2. UMP45 w/ Silencer + SPAS | Semtex | Marathon + Hardline + Ninja | KSC#1 + KSC#2
3. SCAR w/ Grenade Launcher | Claymore | OMA + Danger Close + Commando | KSC#1
4. ACR w/ ACOG + SPAS | C4/Semtex | Scavenger + Stopping Power + Ninja | KSC#1 + KSC#3 (depending on map)
5. Mini-Uzi w/ Silencer + SPAS | Semtex | Marathon + Lightweight + Ninja | KSC#2
6. Any weapon to level + Stinger | Semtex | Marathon + Cold Blooded + Ninja

Killstreak Combo #1: Predator-Harrier-AC130/Chopper Gunner
Killstreak Combo #2: Predator-Harrier-Pave Low
Killstreak Combo #3: Harrier-AC130/Chopper Gunner-Nuke
--I'll ocassionally throw in EAD.

Nearing the 2nd Prestige now and after first deciding I wouldn't do it again, I think I will because the 1st Prestige icon is ugly as all hell.

The earlier the better for me. I'm on by 9est any night that I play.

Oh no, I'm sure I'm older than most playing.....my being away for a couple of years and the time constraints of raising a kid take a toll on your gaming time/ability.

My monster is 3 and he has full operational knowledge of all the remotes (TV & cable) and the PS3 controllers. Hence, he goes down and I have some free time. If he gives wifey a hard time, I have to play Corporal Punishment (j/k)....however I am forced to play "bad" cop. So, if I suddenly disappear, it is probably the calling of the 3 year old.

To let you know what I am up against, this is the boy who told me we never play the "car" game (Burnout Paradise) 20 minutes after him and I just played for an hour. A kid after my heart. He has also labeled Demon's Souls as "the spooky game" - which is probably appropriate from his vantage point.

I do my best to avoid letting him see me play the FPS games and stuff like GTA.

I concur with needing stopping power with the ACR...especially after running with the SCAR.

My play style depends on my opponents somewhat. Against Kefka, Hito and high quality twitch players, I rock usually my runner class. If I'm up against a team of noob tubers, I swap to my noob tube/rocket class. If I'm playing Demo on the Defense side or defending the flag I pick my "slower" submachine gun class. Against snipers I'll switch to a sniper class or I'll straight up use a runner class to flank them(which was seen with great success).

My current class set ups are:
Assault = TAR W/GL and AT4. Scavenger, Danger Close & not sure what perk 3 is. C4 + flashbangs.

Runner = UMP w/Extended mags, Stinger/SPAS w/grip. Marathon, Lightweight & Ninja/Sitrep. C4 + flashbangs.

Defensive submachine gun = UMP/P90 FMJ + Extended mags or Silencer for the P90, SPAS w/Grip(+Extended mags when I get more SPAS kills) . Bling, Stopping Power & Ninja all at Pro. C4 + flashbangs. This class is very dirty with a P90, I thoroughly enjoy it because of the high mag capacity.

Two different snipers but similar load outs. Scavenger, Cold Blooded/Stopping Power & Ninja/Sitrep. Any rifle with FMJ, G18 w/silencer or SPAS w/Grip. C4/frags/semtex/claymore + flashbangs.

Putting Lightweight Pro onto an Assault rifle class worked really well for me. I liked using TAR + FMJ/Silencer and SPAS w/Grip. Scavenger, Lightweight, Ninja/Sitrep/Steady Aim.

I'm not very good with the twitch killing like Kefka or Hito, so I have to adapt and use each class to exploit their usual vulnerabilities. Twitch killers usually don't move out in the open or run much, they "progress" through areas until they're satisfied and move on. All you can do is out think, out maneuver and get off a lucky shot and then you still have the other 5 players to deal with. Try to give yourself the big picture because once these guys attract attention, they're doing it to draw you out, usually you can take out their teammates before you have a shot of taking out a twitch killer.

FFA = twitch training ground. In case it needed to be mentioned.

I usually favor speed over firepower but sometimes no matter how fast you are, sometimes you're just rushing to die by maintaining that pace.

Wow, I'm really starting to realize why I'll never be great at this game. Foolishly, I thought it was point-at-person-you-want-dead and fire, end of story. But with so many loadouts and classes and perk choices and modes and different loadouts for different modes and, christ, even your connection speed matters; and that's all before you even start playing! So I spend 45 minutes trying to create some manageable classes, get into a game, try to move around like there's death lurking around every corner, spot someone, move in and :twoguns::twoguns::twoguns: dead, dead, dead. I feel like Danny Glover:oldman: I'm gettin' too old for this $h!t.
