Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

It sounds like he is saying that buzz dropped to $24.97. The guy asked if buzz dropped, not if buzz dropped lower than $24.97.
 
i dont think it dropped yet manthing. that sucks then. i have to wait until tomorrow at least to visit my sears. i'll let you guys know until then.
 
Buzz is still $24.97. My local Sears had the April prices and it was scanning for $24.97

A Sears I went to today still had March pricing, I thought for sure they would have April pricing since it is the 8th of the month already.
 
Picked up Eternal Sonata today for $4.97
Checked prices for Blue Dragon, Sonic The Hedgehog, Oblivion, DBZ: Burst Limit, Tomb Raider, and a few others. Still at 19.99 - 29.99

Sucks.
 
I was just at my local Sears to investigate Civ. Rev - no luck as they didn't have any copies.

I also saw a few copies of the original FEAR for 360 in a glass case. The clerk was kind enough to humor me and it rang up as $29.95. I don't want to tab back to the OP, looks like the last update was in early February and it was being clearanced out at $5. I could have sworn the last price update for that item was in '07 (maybe I'm dumb.) I also saw several copies of NCAA 2007 priced at $29.95 (wtf?) in the case. Yes, 2007.

I guess my question for the masses, and maybe moreso directed at the Sears employees, is if there is ever a date in which all Sears' clearance are eventually all uniform? It makes sense that some stores hit clearance rather than others, but you'd think that they should all get to the same price eventually.
 
I had them PC Buzz for PS3 at one of my local Sears stores today and it came up $24.97 still(was $24.97 LAST month too). I also had them PC the normal version of Oblivion for PS3 and it came up $19.99 and an HD-DVD drive for the 360, which came up $49.99. :bomb:

So, obviously either this Sears is woefully slow at updating or some items(the HD-DVD drive at least) dropped out of the system and they just re-entered them at sticker price.

Had the one woman(who was flirting with me last time;)) been working this Sears today like she was the last time, I think I could've convinced her to check for price updates, but the one kid working electronics wasn't even half interested in doing so.

I also checked for copies of Civ Rev for 360 and found ZERO, so either the employees got to them or one of the multitude or hoarders came in and snatched them all already.

Oh well...
 
I work at a sears store and we found out today that that a couple games at 14-19 bucks are dropping to 10-15. It's happening this weekend so keep a look out for games dropping again.
 
the sears in melbourne fl, still have most games marked at 24.99-29.99 i had them scan civilization for me and it showed up as 24.99 so no go there

For anyone that works at Sears:

Do you scan the sticker with the new price or the upc on the back of the box? I'm asking because while looking through games, I found MLB 09 THE SHOW for $20 in the clearance bin. Of course this was a mistake because I saw that the 08 version was $20 and 09 was $40 (behind the glass). I'm not sure if an employee put the sticker on the wrong game or someone did for "fun." I know it's a mistake, so before I take it up (in another dept.), I wanted to know.....perhaps not making myself look dumb.

Willing to use the hand held scanner on a game or two and see if it displays the next "price change"? I'm curious if it hasn't happened yet at my sears or if mine is stuck on mar prices for Apr.

I looked through almost the entire Electronics section and nothing (tvs, radios, phones, cameras, GPS, etc) had April price tags. So either they are slow to do the price drops, or nothing changed store wide for April.

Do you also know if I was right about the POS system for updates. I'm curious as last month an employee said the hand held had March 6th as a date. Sure enough march 7th, the prices dropped sears wide for the most part. Now only some people had updates.

Do you scan the sticker with the new price or the upc on the back of the box? I'm asking because while looking through games, I found MLB 09 THE SHOW for $20 in the clearance bin. Of course this was a mistake because I saw that the 08 version was $20 and 09 was $40 (behind the glass). I'm not sure if an employee put the sticker on the wrong game or someone did for "fun." I know it's a mistake, so before I take it up (in another dept.), I wanted to know.....perhaps not making myself look dumb.[/quote]

try taking it up anyway. i worked at Sears (in canada) and we had to honour sticker price. the only problme you may have is it it looks obvious that someone took the sticker from another game..like it its all beat up or falling off.
 
Bought buzz hollywood bundle (ps2) for $1.97 and avatar burning earth (ps2) for $1.97 yesterday. Very ymmv because I went to another sears and they were higher
 
A lady was doing repricing at a Sears I went to today. She was scanning all games by hand because someone had accidentally thrown out the list. Had her scan a few things adn they came up the same price as last month. On some of the items (Singstar Amped and i forget the other) the scanner indicated that the items would be dropping an additional $5.00 on April 9, 2009. Looks like 4/9 may be the magic drop date.

That date was also posted two or so pages ago (yes, I'm aware that is today). I think that as posted last month that change happens tonight, and is effective tomorrow morning. But I hope I'm wrong here as that lady was actively scanning for the price changes on the list. I wonder if they get them ahead of the drops.

I am aware I posted it was today. She had not gotten around to changing the prices and I was not willing to wait for her to scan each game by hand. Am guessing that some stores will take a few days to get the pricing done if at all/
 
There was a lady scanning things with a hand scanner, so i assume the prices are being dropped. Everything i checked still had the March Prices.

I know everyone suggests making barcode sheets, but I was wondering if anyone wouldnt mind sharing their with the rest of us. I'd imagine it'd only help to have multiple store confirmations on prices.
 
I passed by sears today and the some bitchy woman priced checked three games for me . She acted like i was asking for her first born . The funny thing is i asked where the price checker was so i could scan it myself .

Agreed, mine updates their prices...But I still hate the store.

I see no reason to go into such a place, I don't feel like being badgered when I'm buying anything. It feels like such an outdated practice, yet Sears still employs people to stand in an area in the store to heckle you whenever you look at a product the right way. Meh.

Isn't it true that the DSi has less features than the old DS. Plus, it adds the "feature" of downloadable games with no backwards compatibility?

They removed the GBA slot, which not only ditches BC, but also makes the Guitar Hero games unplayable. It has 2 cameras, 1 on the outside, 1 on the inside. It's got the built-in web browser and you can download DSiWare games (or whatever they're called), using Nintendo points cards. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the points cards for the DSi are different than the ones for the Wii.

Wii points can be used to download DsiWare. They are renaming the "wiipoints" to Nintendo Points (DSI and Wii). You will eventually see the packaging change to reflect this. I think their might also be a price hike too. there was some feedback on the 2000 points now being $24.99.

I see no point in taking away the useful features from the DS and adding all this stupid, useless shit in its place.

Anyway, might check out SEARS later.

My Sears is so weird:
Timesplitters: $9.97 no price sticker
Two Worlds: $1.97 in case marked $59.99
They also had an opened Gamcube LOZ:TP in the case, scanned $9.97. Was complete but disc was scratched up and had finger prints all ove rit. I would have taken the shot @ $2, but not $10.
I ended up just taking Two Worlds. For that price I don't see how I could go wrong.
For the record: if Sears wants to lock up most of their games and not provide scanners, the employees can just scan as many as I want. I have yet to have one give me a hard time about it to my face.

Gaithersburg Sears just updated theirs today.
If you are looking for lost odyssey there should be 1 copy left behind the ipod sterio speakers on an endcap. $15
